chestnaught has knock off too and also because it is bulletproof so sludge bomb or shadow ball wouldn't have worked against it the next turn

Chesnaught is my favorite Kalos starter, he's awesome. Chespin is adorable, Chesnaught is cool and powerful, and even Quilladin's whacky design has grown on me.
The duality of grass starters is that they're either really busted with mons like venasaur, rillaboom, and serperior or they really get the short end of the stick like meganium, chesnaught and decidueye . There really isn't an in-between, but I'm glad you're giving mons like meganium and chesnaught a fighting chance to show their usefulness!
decidueye is bad? I swear ive been seeing that mon regularly in OU up until current gen.

My boy Chesnaught rarely gets any love, and of course it’s my boy Haydunn who finally gives him the love. 10/10
I've had a lot of success in doubles with Chesnaught as a drain tank. Leech seed/drain punch/spikey shield/rock slide, big root, bulletproof, rock terra, careful nature HP/SPDEF EVs. Alongside a garganacl with leftovers I have stalled through many an unsuspecting team

It's fascinating to me how much certain pokemon improved just from getting Body Press
My favorite set right now is.
Ability: Bulletprooof
Item: Salac berry
Moves: substitute, bellydrum, drain punch, trailblaze.
The "pause" gets me every time!
Fun fact! Back in gen 6, I always wanted to go chespin. I always go with the water types though, so I went instead for the dumb frog.... I must say, it worked out very well, but now I always think back and wonder what might have been with the ol' chesnaught.... Thanks for another great battle!

Chespin is the "hard" difficulty starter of Kalos, not that that means much when they put their second Gym where the third or fourth gym should be.
It's the only starter that is weak to the first Gym, but since it also gets roll out this doesn't matter.
If they had removed the poorly written padding between the first and second Gym (making route 6, and the areas south of Cylledge City optional) and adjusted the level curve accordingly, then Chespin would also struggle against the second Gym due to being weak against Amaura's ice attacks and unable to do super effective damage against Tyrant unless you detoured to Ambrette town to pick up Rock Smash.

Chestnaught was my first starter after only playing Gen 3 for several years, was also my first partner to make it to lv 100, a GOAT in my eyes and always my best Bud. Love the love towards him today. Your videos are always a treat, thank you for another upload!

Been using chesnaught In OU very successfully. It’s a perfect counter to gambit and tusk. Cinderace can’t do anything to it as well unless it runs gunk shot which is extremely rare.

About the move Whirlwind: It's just another case of translation as the Japanese word of the move basically means to "blow away" so I always imagine it to be the Pokemon blowing/screaming so strongly it blows away the opponent LOL
Gotta love Japanese translation! I looked into bullet proof. And it gives him immunity to 26 different attacks! And the English names don't always say ball or bullet in it. So a few kind of threw me off like acid spray and zap cannon! I was like What?!

Chespin was my first EVER pokemon and Chesnaught never fails to impress me. Super underrated in my opinion, not just bias
I was hyped seeing Knuckles! Loved when you used him hella back in the day
while it may not be the most optimal set, my favorite set with Chesnaught is Seed Bomb, Drain Punch, Rock Slide, and Earthquake with an Assault Vest. 240 HP, 252 Atk, 8 Def, 8 SpD, Adamant nature, Bulletproof Ability obviously, Tera Rock (yes i built it around the event raid version)

I've been wanting to play Y since last year for two reasons.
1. Pick Chespin as my starter.
2. Yveltal is cool.
ive been using chesnaught in OU for months now and have been pretty successful with it. its an amazing meow, gambit, and tusk check. i used it defensively and to set up spikes but it still hit like a truck with woodhammer and drainpunch. 2hko tusk and 1hko gambit. its one of my favourite pokemon so im glad it works pretty decently in past gens and now

Chesnaught is a sleeper pick. I had never respected it and when I finally played with it in omega ruby, i ran bulk up/drain punch and it was such a beast

Ditto copied the bulletproof ability which blocks sludgebomb
It would have also blocked Shadow Ball.

It’d still force the ditto to switch bc it transforms with 5pp and would start struggling.
Sick game. I think going for leech seed on the Tera turn with chesnaught would’ve been a much better play. At that point the Cinderace had basically nothing to hit you with. And the leech seed plus rocky helmet damage would’ve given you a free turn to get spikes up.
Didn’t matter much in the end!
Steel Tera running gyro ball iron defense body press in doubles under trick room he can pair well with strong rock types like rhypheior running weakness policy for sweeps

Hey, quick question, how does a ditto with imposter work with Tera stellar?
If it switches out and back in to a different opposite Pokémon, does that reset the stellar multiplier on the moves (since they are different moves) or does it work by move slot?

Honestly it’s just knowing how to switch properly and not get hit by stab moves like knowing what your 2X weakness is preventing it with a berry they made it stupid easy in gen 9 just whatever Pokémon u want can be any type let’s just go back to moves like trick or treat soak and mystic powder gen then thoe
