Been checking this watch out. I might actually buy one soon. I haven't bought a Timex in over 20 years because of the low end stuff they've become known for.
Hey, I'm trying to work out if this would sit too small on me as I have thick wrists - would you mind telling me what your wrist circumference is as a point of reference?
Just ordered this watch. I appreciate your review which was informative enough to allow me to pull the trigger on this watch. which I absolutely don't need, but hey...
@@Bruce.Wanye. The watch is deadly accurate, the norm for a quartz times movement. It shames my more expensive automatic movement watches in that regard. The physical "feel" gives great confidence, no slop in the finish and no looseness anywhere. I did change the strap. I have several leather bands in various colors and styles that compliment the case and with the now-standard quick release spring bars, I can swap out the strap in seconds for the look that I want that day. The only negative is that the hands and the face are not contrasted enough to differentiate easily in low light. Maybe if I had this watch a few decades ago, but in my mid-60s the hands can be unreadable in low light. I use this watch only when I know I'll be outdoors for that reason.

They do make this watch in variants of 36mm for the same price if you want something a little smaller.
Must remember to carry a torch around with me at night so I can read the time if I need to!
How is it holding up?
How does the lume hold up during the night?
It’s good. But not great. Good for the price range.

After a few weeks on the wrist, do you still feel the visibility of the dial is an issue?
Honestly no. Especially outside. During the day it’s not an issue. At night the lume helps a lot
Why is the Timex second hand getting stuck???
its a low battery indicator
