Really liked this small series. Love how you expanded onto the story by adding a more in depth description through the narration. The marine units and characters really helped add a positive side to the feel of the otherwise morbid nature and environments of the game. It’s a shame they never continued this properly, it’s been like 20 years.. hard to believe.. even if they did a movie or series adaptation, as enemy territory had decent graphics but left out the elements of horror environments and character development of IV. Personally I’d like to see a 5, where it starts off with something like Kane, still on stroggos is having to shut down a few more parts of their infrastructure, development or production to stop them from making a comeback while backed up by a second invasion fleet to help the remaining ones., then the second half or 2 thirds being back on earth, Kane retiring due to a well earned rest, and overseeing parts of the earth war as more of an adviser who makes a few appearances and has a couple of player levels , but the rest be another marine who deals with the both semi front line and facility shut down for the rest of the earth fight. OMG, thank you so much! Subtitles could be a good idea, but I don't have much time to take care of that at the moment. As for Earth, we don't really know a lot about it after the invasion. It must be in the process of reconstruction. If I remember correctly, I think I read somewhere that while the TCM was out fighting the Strogg on Stroggos, Earth would have been left without any major power to control it, making smaller forces fight for dominance over its territories.
Honestly I love this presentation, so in love with the style. Completely got the understanding down for the story now. I am also loving the dramtisation of Kane, and the little added details of cut dialogue and other little easter eggs and tid-bits. I did find the Anderson stuff a bit on the nose as there is nothing in game to susgest his fate unless I missed something, but yeah those Zombie-Like transfers are like resisting the urge to kill us and seem to be reaching out gasping rather than going for the kill compeltely, plus their eyes are yellow or blue instead of the orange/red of full units. Just thinking of the ungodly dysphoria/dysmorphia Kane would be feeling. I am trans and experience gender dysphoria which leads to some dysmorphia and pain at certain parts of me if I don't take action to "fix" it. It is crippling if I or someone else, triggers it. That would be ungodly torture in of itself, not to mention the pain around open wounds and fresh nerve endings in those new limbs. Could also be experiencing Borg-Like collective Chatter which would be overwhelming as well. So much disturbing stuff.
From the first time I played this game 16 years ago, I always thought Anderson was not given a proper end. I was originally going to do a scene where Kane sees him being used as a torso unit, but then I talked with someone who gave the idea of encountering him in the waste processing facility as a failed transfer. So, no, it's not in the game, but I found that idea to be a good way to end his story.
To me, the Stroyent Processing Creature looks like something that was captured and brought back to Stroggos from a Strogg expedition into the DreamLands.
After playing call of the machine in Q2, I do wonder if the main character of the expansion is actually suppose to be Kane, given the callsign to the marine sent to destroy the stroggmaker was nicknamed "The Machine" according to his pod which seems appropriate for what others would call Kane after the events of Q4. Perhaps those were the orders given to him at the end by Harper.
Really feels like the biggest mistake was bothering with a ground invasion... Should have just had the ships begin bombarding the planet, then continuing for at least a few years...
I always wondered about a third theory for the network guardian's origin... could it have been a human or a human-like alien, with its growth to that massive size induced artificially as part of its stroggification process? It does seem like something the strogg might be capable of doing, and only makes them more frightening if they can. Also interesting that it doesn't look entirely unlike that stroyent processing creature. If the network guardian was just a member of a species that's naturally huge, could they have been the same species?
It could be that the Guardian was built to be massive, its different parts made from multiple others. It and the processing creature might come from the same world, the difference being the one in the Stroyent processing facility has been cut off from any light source, restrained and unable to move, explaining the difference in their skin and shape. I also like to believe that the giant heart and the brain that was the Nexus come from an even bigger entity.😱
@@jet2135 According to the Quake 3 Prima Guide, it seems that Bitterman survived the experiments and returned to Earth before ending up in the Arena Eternal. To quote: "What happens to a war hero badly mutated in the service of humanity? If that hero is Bitterman, he buries the past as deep as he can. On Stroggos, Bitterman released a demon inside himself and rained destruction on the Stroggs. There, Bitterman's demon within brought revenge and retribution. On Earth, it would bring pain and horror. In the Arena Eternal, it brings victory." Of course that could be a hypothetical "it would have caused" rather than a factual "it did cause".
@@KonigDesTodes Yeah but do the events of Q3 really take place in the same universe? It looks more like a medley of old Quake and Doom iterations. Personally, I find it hard imagining the Strogg co-exist with Demons within a single universe

I was originally going to do a scene where Kane sees him being used as a torso unit, but then I talked with someone who gave the idea of encountering him in the waste processing facility as a failed transfer. So, no, it's not in the game, but I found that idea to be a good way to end his story.
Finally someone who explained quake one two and four without making me fall asleep
Is good❤
You deserve more Subs!
To me, the Stroyent Processing Creature looks like something that was captured and brought back to Stroggos from a Strogg expedition into the DreamLands.
Thanks for this. You are awesome.
This is so DAMN GOOD!
Out of curiosity, will you cover the new expansion for quake 2 remaster, call of the machines?
After playing call of the machine in Q2, I do wonder if the main character of the expansion is actually suppose to be Kane, given the callsign to the marine sent to destroy the stroggmaker was nicknamed "The Machine" according to his pod which seems appropriate for what others would call Kane after the events of Q4. Perhaps those were the orders given to him at the end by Harper.
That's positively incredible
Would be cool to see series in Doom 3 engine
What a masterpiece! ❤
Really feels like the biggest mistake was bothering with a ground invasion... Should have just had the ships begin bombarding the planet, then continuing for at least a few years...
47:18 Chef's Kiss ending 📝🤌
Question, what's that creature at the end of the video? I've played Quake 4 a bunch of times and I've never seen them in the game.
The unreleased expansion pack "Awakening" 😔
@@lechumqc7910 oh thanks.
How much time has passed since Quake 2 and Quake 4? I think you covered it already.
My guess was hour's if not minutes.
@@lechumqc7910 oh dang. For some reason I thought Bitterman was long dead. Lol. I do wish we’d get a new Quake like Doom Eternal or something
Still waiting for Blood lore part 3…
I cant wait for Doom lore in this style.
The quake 4 I really good game I saw video game on TH-cam
You should do Crisis series
Will you make a video on quake 4 awakening?
It'll be nice if we get a quake 4 remaster for the series x, good video by the way.
thats so good man
Thank you! 😊
Wish we would get a Quake 5 instead of a arena shooter again.
I need the music from the hanibal attack scene please :)
Will be more quake's lore videos or it's last one?
There will be more but with a different main voice-over :)
@@lechumqc7910 nice
32:34 Doom reference
notice how the strogg infantry use marine weaponry?
29:57 Bro....💀💀💀💀
Did Bitterman get Stroggified or die?
Edit: Or did he survive as a human in the last video?
Some believe the torso unit attached to the makron's body is Bitterman, but it's not confirmed
@@jet2135 According to the Quake 3 Prima Guide, it seems that Bitterman survived the experiments and returned to Earth before ending up in the Arena Eternal. To quote:
"What happens to a war hero badly mutated in the service of humanity? If that hero is Bitterman, he buries the past as deep as he can. On Stroggos, Bitterman released a demon inside himself and rained destruction on the Stroggs. There, Bitterman's demon within brought revenge and retribution. On Earth, it would bring pain and horror. In the Arena Eternal, it brings victory."
Of course that could be a hypothetical "it would have caused" rather than a factual "it did cause".
@@KonigDesTodes Yeah but do the events of Q3 really take place in the same universe? It looks more like a medley of old Quake and Doom iterations. Personally, I find it hard imagining the Strogg co-exist with Demons within a single universe
@@jet2135Quake 3 does happen its just on another plane of reality where the Quake multiverse and the Doom multiverse happen to overlap...
Likely Bitterman is stuck fighting in the arenas
What where those 3 strogg that was shown at the end? I've never seen those before.
The unreleased expansion "Awakening" 😢
Half man half tec satans perfect solider😂 no wonder Cain killed the strog demon, he become one demons Kain also means he has to wander forever. Kane and able
quake 4 awakening?
Yes 😢
it was supposed to be a story dlc for quake 4 and sequel but got cancelled
Is there a next part to this?
I will be doing a video that looks at what could have been the unreleased expansion pack. But this is the last video of the Quake lore series I will be doing. My future videos will have a different narrator as well, but at least I was able to close the main Quake lore. Just a bit sad I didn't get time to do the Quake 1 expansion
Did you remake this ?
Awwww yeah!
Who are characters on The End?
It comes from the unreleased Quake 4 expansion: Awakening. It was said to be called Valkaryne. I'm making a video about it soon to explain what it could have been :)
YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Love the voice for Strauss at the beginning. Super adorable
LETS GOOO
Finally...
Nice
I forgive you because is a nice video, I felt like Kane when they started to shame for the new strogg body, why forgive you? Because is Eagle Squad, not Raven.
Oh! Good catch!
WOOOOOOO
.... ALIENS
Ну мужик красавец
I'm glad you're dusting off that game
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS SO MUCH THEY ARE AWESOME!! TOO BAD YOU LIKE QUAKE CHAMPIONS BECAUSE ITS A DISGRACE TO QUAKE BUT THESE VIDEOS ARE 10/10 GOOD JOB!
I find the lore within the game more appealing than the gameplay itself ^^ not a huge fan of multiplayer focus game.
@@lechumqc7910 Oh, in that case, yes, i like Quake Champions for that too!! The lore is really neat, especially for Sorlag!! Keep up the good work these videos are so amazing!!!!
Woah. I love these a little too much!
