@@ColdVsIce yeah the vr6 is a fun car, make sure you do the timing chains/guides. It is a matter of when not if with them. The guides fail on every single one at some point. The sound is what makes them though, no other car has that tone.

the 24 val BDF has the same lack of support but it can move and ive kept it stock on purpose. Ive had silly cold air intakes ruin multiple MAF sensors on several mk2s and 3s. i went k&n. And all the bent cracked aftermarket rims was too much.

i wouldnt say that the vr6 is dying, in terms of engine availability. although they ceased production in 2023 (which is after this video) if you are solely looking for the engine its available in numerous vw/audi models. For instance, the vw tuareg, audi tt, and many many more. a swap is very possible depending on the chassis you are planning to implant into

@Bendega "This car has definitely had the exhaust replaced." Not all the exhausts have been as lucky as yours. Ive been super lucky in almost everyway but the 2 issues. 1 is that my exhaust sounds like absolute shit after almost 20 years and the radi. The cats honeycomb has just rusted away. "If you do thorough VW research you will sadly find out to the chagrin of quite a few, that these "are not VR6 engines." Yes they are misbadged but, when has VW not done that? They are actually V6 motors. I beg you to research the engine before attacking me, because i have the exact same money green vr6 jetta in my driveway. IE with a shitty exhaust but still the love of my life. The 2.8 is a dying breed availaible i think only in suvs now.
