As a retired B'Boomer, who did not grow up with casseroles, I'm very fond of them now. Also, my husband, as yours, will love this. So I remember, my mom had a very flat bottom ring pan she used for cakes. IDK if that would have worked better, perhaps. Also, letting it rest a bit after cooking may help it hold together more. Another thought might be to put the bread crumbs (nice touch) in the bottom so that when you flipped it over, they'll be on top. Then maybe even toast them up a minute or two under the broiler. Anyway, I will give this a try. Thanks for your experiment. Stay warm up north 😂 🏖Kj in Tampa Bay ❤🥰 sending some sun your way 🌞
I know exactly what type of pan you're talking about and I bet that would have worked perfectly for this recipe! I will try all of your tips next time. Thank you for watching!
Ham -- My kids, and their friends 😉 Love pasta, farfelle (bowties), with Alfredo sauce, chunks of ham with peas. I bake it in a casserole. I uncover and brown a layer of parmesan cheese on top. The sports teams LOVED it for their pitch-ins.
This casserole was pretty easy to make and it was tasty! What other kinds of casseroles would you like me to try?
