Wow. So much has changed since I left. Shepard Residential College used to be where now is called Shepard Hall (changed in 2018 I think). Incoming and current students are so lucky. Didn't have controlled thermostat then (though it wasn't needed since a Chicago winter is like half an year lol). Compared to what I experienced, you and future dwellers are like living in a hotel. No more unreliable marloks. No more snapped broken keys for deadbolt locks. Looks like the first floor at SMQ was remodeled as they took out the dormitory rooms there. Drunk students banging on the doors or people coming back late from parties was hell for people living on first floor. With so much reliance on electricity for entry, what happens if the power goes out? Hmm... Thanks for sharing! Is there a reason why you chose SMQ over the dorms closer to Tech?

Do you know are north mid quads similar to south in terms of floorplan, facilities etc.? Thanks for this video tour. Quick question on applying - for the essay portion it states it gets sent to all the resi colleges. Should the app essay mention a specific college and why that college even though it gets read by all the residential colleges - the one you rank first or should it be more general that applies to all of them so to increase your chances of getting into one of your top choices? Thank you
