I've read where others flip only once. While not wrong, why 3 times? Curious if there is any advantage.

Honestly, I’m not even sure 🙃🤪 I saw several other people making them and they were flipping 3 times so I figured there was a reason even though it seemed unnecessary. I have since started only flipping it once and it works fine that way too

My math seems to be off. We have 2 pieces at 13" wide, and one at 14" wide which equals 40" I thought the minky was 60" or so. Was that much cut off the ends to even out? It may have been, but didn't look like it.....

When I folded the yard of minky I folded it so that the 2 selvedge ends were touching and then cut the strips starting at the selvedge and going toward the fold. So I’m taking the yard of fabric (36” wide) and cutting it into thirds, making each strip about 12” wide and then as long as the width of fabric, usually 54-60” for minky. But depending on how generous of a cut they give you, your strips might be able to go a bit wider, like 13-14”. In my case I ordered a yard but actually got 40” so I was able to make my strips a bit wider.
