Before we saw a flask with a purple liquid, and now we see a hamster cage! You're probably right from your previous videos that we are going to have stage variants, which I think is really cool! Also, even though he is in the background for the Fry Cook Games Arena stage, Mr. Krabs could still end up being a playable character in the future! It would be like the Spirit Train stage in Smash! If Link, Young Link, or Toon Link are in the match, then Alfonzo is the conductor instead of Toon Link. They could do that same kind of thing here, because if Mr. Krabs in the match on the Fry Cook Games Arena stage, then they could have someone else in the background instead, but just who, exactly, am I right?! One more thing, the name of that new Patrick alt is Patrick Man! Awesome vid as always! The rest of these spotlights are gonna be FIRE!!!!!!

I never really watched Thornberry but that jungle map is DEFINITELY from Thornberry because I do rmb when they were in a jungle at a temple in a movie. I may be wrong tho. Also are u and Slackerz brothers? Y’all kinda sound alike and usually get u mixed up with Slackerz😂 Also Krabs can still get in I don’t think just because he’s in the background he’s deconfirmed
I commented on your other showcase reactions so I figured I'd go back and do the same for this one which I already watched before. To be honest while I could already tell he was gonna be like this from the Gameplay Showcase at EVO, I'm not a fan of how they're continuing to just make SpongeBob this game's equivalent of Mario in Smash rather than feeling like how SpongeBob _should_ fight in a fighting game. I am glad they gave him the Reef Blower because I thought that was a glaring absense in his moveset in the first game, though I wish it was one of his specials that you could use to blow people away with. Also glad they got rid of his Chomp special which was really ill-fitting, though his new side special is yet another one-off reference as a special. Chef Flip is a nice replacement down special, if a little basic. I also wasn't expecting Mr Krabs, but not because I thought he was going to be playable (I didn't really think we'd be getting _three_ SpongeBob newcomers in this game) but just because I didn't really think that stage would have any characters making cameos with there already being a crowd of spectators in the background, though the idea of Mr Krabs appearing regardless of that honestly never crossed my mind, as much as it makes sense in hindsight.
I can already tell that the Spatula Flip is going to be one of, if not, SpongeBob’s scariest move. They said that it can be cancelled into basically any attack upon landing it, and even though we don’t know this for sure, they didn’t mention anything about it sharing the same property the Slime Cancel has where your next attack afterwards is weaker. So if it doesn’t, SpongeBob could be able to take some mad early stocks with all the different set ups and confirms he’ll have from that Spatula Flip.
Seeing Spongebob's new down strong makes me hopeful that all the other characters will have down strongs that hit on both sides, like in Smash Bros. I always thought they way they handled down strongs in the first game was weird, basically just giving most of the cast to spike opponents on stage, while others got a weird sort of dash attack.
