It was refreshing to see an🎉🎉🎉 honest version of what actually goes on in the creative process. Trial and error, frustration, and immense joy are all part of it! Thank you 🌸
Your creative ideas are really interesting, but your technique drove me crazy watching all the trial and error. The end product looked great and you have a beautiful dolls house!
Very cute dollhouse. I know you did this project for your children to play with and have fun, but just a bit of advice from a dollhouse restorer...take time with your measuring and application...neat and tidy baseboards, doors, window trim, corners will look much better and ultimately will last longer, especially with the play of little hands. Also, try thinning out the wood filler, it is far too thick and you will find it much easier when filling in cracks on furniture and such. Just a couple of hopefully helpful tips from someone who's been doing this for 30 years...but good job Mama! And your children will have hours of fun playing with it!!
@@l.l.RobertsonYeah, I loved watching all the trial and error too. You’ve given me the courage to experiment with some pieces I’ve bought so far. I was worried about messing them up but after watching you I feel more comfortable and confident that things will turn out just fine. I love the light brown color you created with the kids’ room furniture. Really nice!
I absolutely loved seeing how you repurposed items, and did not give up with the colors and textures. Bravo!!!! It came out so great!!!!!!! Now I have to go back and watch your other videos. I love your creativity!! I am starting a new project on my channel that I am really excited about. Congratulations on your achievement!!! 💜
Why, why, why do you make everything so difficult? Painting over and over and over again only to go back to original finish - you didn’t learn the first time? In the first video you made clear you didn’t have but snippets of few minutes here and there, you could have yourself a lot of headaches by READING instructions! How long did it take from start to finish?
😆 definitely could have made it easier on myself. Not sure how long it took me honestly, we sold our home and moved right in the middle so time calculation is difficult
The grey toned paint and the warm tan colour on the "stones" didn't go together, I think that's part of why it didn't look right colour-wise. Otherwise, phenomenal job on everything!!! Wow! Beautiful little home
Sorry you feel that way, we personally love the turn out. Guess that’s the good thing about it being a kit 😊 , everyone can do it to their best ability and within their own means.
I love the idea of using wood filler like clay! Do you seal it with Mod Podge or something, before painting it? I would think it would soak up the paint like crazy.
It worked beautifully, especially since I had an excess on hand from a previous project. No seal at all! Just painted over it with standard acrylic and had no problem. The wood filler was definitely my favorite part of the project 😆
You did such a wonderful job! I love your take on the Vermont Farmhouse Jr. And you gave me some ideas I may use for mine (i.e. popsicle sticks for additional counter space)! Beautiful work!
you did good momma. I learned a lot watching your videos, what to do and what not to do and I also learned, more importantly, that no matter the mistake it can always add to and never take away from the house.

It was a blast!

I’m sorry it drove you crazy! Some times my best lessons are learned from trial and error

I actually enjoy the trial and error. I make my own dollhouses and it makes me feel better seeing others mistakes lol😅
Thank you!

It turned out great! I'm making the same house right now with an addition to the side so I can get a big kitchen. I love your fireplace!
Thank you!
That is a great idea, in hindsight I wish we would have done the addition for the kitchen
It was so much fun to follow along with this project! I’m sad that it’s over but I hope that your kids really really enjoy it!
Thank you! That’s awesome you followed along! The kids LOVE it and are so excited to play with all the pieces.
The farmhouse is tooo cute. Love it

We are very happy with it :)
Honestly looks pretty sloppy, for
Something you want to be an heirloom, you’d think you would take your time and make it perfect.

I’m about to redo this same dollhouse. I had also thought about a fireplace. I’m interested if you put some kind of chimney for it on the roof?
No I didn’t but that is a great idea! I’ll have to do that!
🪞🪟🚪🪑🧱🔥🧱🖌️👈🏻🕰️📚 you are very creative I love it.
