Your home reminds me of my Grandmother's who raised me she had a passion for beautiful things...a little of this, a little of that such taste and style. I was fortunate enough to have passed down to me some of her precious things to cherish. I completely get the furniture not matching...it suits my style perfectly and I find is a sign of good taste. As a Spaniard and a miniaturist I love this beautiful doll house decorated in the Isabelino style. Thank you for this video. My own maternal grandmother had one of those cooking surfaces in her kitchen when I was a little girl in the early 60s. She then installed an electric cooker over it.

This house is not ‘Victorian’. It is done in the ‘Isabelino’ style, after Spanish queen Isabel II, who reigned from 1833 until she was deposed in 1868.

I noticed many lovely hand-stitched carpets throughout the dollhouse (and superwow to the peacock themed one in the Music Room) I would love to know a little more about that. Thanks again for a fabulous tour. This was a one of a kind type of dollhouse with it's fancy medallions and Spanish themes. I always love a trip to a "Grovian dollhouse." Oh, and the painting was quite lovely. Also something I've never seen the like of. How fortunate you are to enjoy it in your home!
I wish I knew what the (braided satchel thing?) hanging off the far corner of the master suite bed was.......? It looked like rope or kind of knotted or braided over a fabric bundle...? I mean so many small pieces that I wish we could have talked about too. Like that watering stand and the little personal objects sitting on dressers and tables..... just a stunning find.
I would love to see another tour of this baby house with really good lighting and focus shots or still shots up close and much more of your description and information on the items more individually. I felt teased a bit each time the camera panned into or around each room because I can only see minor detail and it was impossible to pause on a focused shot😥. I would visit this home on display if you ever show it publicly. I'm sure that many others would love to see it just like myself, and to learn any details about the structure and and the pieces inside.

No. This is a cabinet dollhouse, which typically don’t have stairs. Even in the dollhouses that have exteriors, some people leave the stairs off for more room..others include stairs for authenticity.

I have a suggestion... could prints be made of that wonderful picture of the girls and the dolls for sale...it took my eye right away as Rachel started filming... I make dolls... reproduction dolls.. I started back in the early 80s...pouring, painting, dressing, and then on the road to sell...dolls have been my passion for as long as I can remember. I even was guilty of having a doll in my purse in 8th grade and the boy next to me teasing me...said I had a baby doll in my purse... I said no...then realized I had a baby.. a papoose... in my purse! I had VISITED a historical site near Pittsburg PA with my great grandfather. Since my sister couldn't come with us he bought my younger sister an Indian doll with a papoose on its back. I didn't get a doll because I went on the trip and she had to stay home! FINALLY he relented because he realized how much I esp loved the baby on the Indian mother's back and bought me the baby papoose made into a pin...I liked it better than the other doll....not really .. but I could take it with me unlike the one my sister recieved. I STILL DENIED I HAD A DOLL BECAUSE I WAS EMBARRASSED SO I SAID TO THE BOY.. '' IT'S NOT A DOLL IS A PIN'' ( I had taken it off My school uniform because it wasn't allowed...jewelry not allowed on the uniform) I did get my last doll for Christmas that year. When My daughter was born in 78 I made her a ceramic doll a few yrs later for Christmas....bought a kiln and started with my 1st doll a bye lo baby! The rest is history... I have now in my old age started to collect antique dolls.... no more college for my children to pay for now so I can but some of the baby dolls I have reproduced... I still love my babies but also have others the other dolls and the bigger the better.. Thanks again for all you do for us in the doll world. And please could we have prints of that painting!

This dollhouse was made when scale wasn’t considered especially important. He said that in the video.
If I could buy a miniature masterpiece, one-of-a-kind antique, and it was not exactly 1:12- I would never hesitate. But I'm not rigid.
