For those questioning the bamboo consider that before the foundation for Salesforce building in San Francisco was costructed old redwood logs were pulled out of the ground. Probably 100 years old. They went on a logging truck and probably got milled. Wood inside looked like new.
Bamboo is strong as hell and doesn’t rot easily. While this is unconventional to some it likely works. I’ve seen them using bamboo to hold up foundations in the Caribbean as well and these places are hit by hurricanes and storms regularly and those houses don’t come down. The roof may blow off but the foundation will stay standing unlike houses in the US.
wow impressive, the concrete part is ok, but ffs why even bather to sink all those bamboo sticks down into the ground, in less than 3 years there all gone, and to make things worse, those cavity after the bamboo have to get filled ... someone didn't do there homework
Why no pre installed sewer line or cable access through the footing? No thinking ahead. If the place floods where does the water go under the floor? One simple pipe for outflow would be smart.
similar to a piled raft foundation, with bamboo piles which is quite smart and sustainable, but I am not quite sure about how long the bamboo piles can last in that ground. The base slab appears to be a bit thin (without reinforcement as well)
@@genollanas2110 possibly.... But those should just be piles... Basically foundation columns... That area is so muddy.... The area looks like it has a high water table u would need drainage of sorts ...
Bamboo is used to compact the soil not for drainage. It’s the most cost efficient way over there that has proven to work. For drainage stone to work there you would have to dig up 20ft of soil and fill up with rocks. Also they don’t use wood framing over there. Hence no need to use vapour barrier. The whole building is going to be built with concrete, bricks and mortar.
OSHA is crying tears of blood watching this. 😅

Redwood and bamboo are 2 diff things. 😂😂😂😂
@dannyn.3539 don't have any oxygen in the mudd. So it last very long time
What is the reason for placing these Bamboo on the ground?
instead of bamboo piles, they could have used concrete for piles and didn't have to use so much concrete for raft foundation.
People in the comments think that they're architect 😂
Maybe they are.
Even if they are this is still out of their expertise cuz this is engineering
@minhdaubu2363 engineers can't thing about drainage and plumbing and electrical ?
@@TheJiminiflix you need to go there to understand. They don’t even build gutters.
the bamboo columns I always seen this constructions process from vietnam
how long will the bambo last in the ground? then the foundation sinks.
Practically forever. That's why bamboo has been used as piling for that part of the world for thousands of years.
Bamboo doesn’t easily root in wet soils. It will last minimum 50-100 years
1000 years around that sort of time. Judging by the length of time you see there buildings lasting 😊

oh no, it will be there forever, beacuse bambo underground with water they cant be distroy
You should do ur homework instead before commenting 😂

Vietnam has no building codes bro

Apakah Bambu tahan untuk dibenamkan kedalam tanah,,??, dan kalaupun tahan sampe berapa tahun,,??
yes! i will be more than 100 years
Vietnam has no building codes. No ones come inspect those construction. So please don’t ask why they do this but not that.

cọc tre ngâm bùn cả trăm năm chưa mục
Seems like the slab is simply there so that they don't have to work in the mud.
Is the whole thing like a floating boat?,leaning tower of pisa, does clay shift if dry? All those working will be dead by the time it shifts
Wow they used tons of steel on bamboos. But cant construct couple of ground columns. What space tech is this. 😂
The bamboo in the wet ground ist stronger and last for longer than the concrete on top.
Bamboo mineralizes over time, becomes just like rock.
wohw! it's strong base, good
Concrete and steel on bamboo and clay foundation

Nice
It has a very heavy foundation and the bamboo going to be rotten therefore the house will sink under mud.

Bamboo seems to hold the soil together
good luck

No drainage /stone or vapour barrier.......
I think that’s why they were driving those hollow bamboo trunks into the ground. So they can service some sort of drainage.

If the water table is that high may never drain. As soon as it drains water would come in from the sides.
I don't get it, why put the bamboo in the ground?
