    why on earth don't they use this view more on the tv. so many time the commentators and viewers are unsure if something is visible or potable and this view would help a lot for that. give them some line drawing tools to illustrate things too. missed opportunity.

      I know. It's just stupid to see refs stuggle to respot balls while knowing this view is just there, unused.

      I would personally look at something like a laser projector (or multiple if required), it wouldn't be difficult to project to scale exactly where everything was. The challenge would be accurately tracking where they were in the first place.

      Not just helping us to know the situation, but also this view is very enjoyable and it will be even more fun in live matches

    Brilliant, the overhead camera really lets you see where the players are striking the ball. well done our Lesta lad, wish the city players would put this amount of effort into winning.....

    If Mark Selby had played like that in the 3rd session, he would definitely be world champion !!!

      If Luca Brecel had played in frames 27 - 31 like he did before, the result would be something like 18:12.

    Better view for angles but it looks like a video game.

    It would be incredibly easy to create some form of system for placing the ball back exactly where it was using this camera.

    • @sharpvidtube
      @sharpvidtube ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Project this image onto the table. No idea why they've never tried it. The lights are bright, and getting it perfectly lined up could be tricky, but surely it's possible.

    • @Jefferyy
      @Jefferyy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sharpvidtube wouldnt be too hard, you could essentially adjust the angle/perspective based on the colours markers on the cloth

    • @justanotheroldcomment.4582
      @justanotheroldcomment.4582 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@sharpvidtube I’m surprised it hasn’t been done yet, Basically, if the cue ball has to go back due to a foul and miss, An image should be projected on the table to show where the cueball was and should show up as a red dot.
      Once the cueball has been put back exactly where was before, The red spot should turn green and then play can resume.

      Luca was the best player in the tournament, he deserved to win, and if all goes well he will have a great career. It was a great final with both players fighting for the title. Selby is the most complete Snooker player.

    • @BC-1
      @BC-1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@delfinafernandes9686 I don't know if he's the most complete player, I just saw a guy missing a lot of long pots in the final and even easy pots. Keep in mind that Champions don't get older the same way, decline in ability can be faster for some players. Selby still a great player but not as he was.
