Only a 3rd of the actual budget goes to Ukraine in the form of actual weapons.. The 2/3rd or 67% of the budget goes to Massive Profits, Payrolls, transport cost, and consultsncy fees.. Nothing is free..

Russia owns the sky in Ukraine now. Their Orlan-30 UAV has 300 km range and 18 hour endurance and its the #1 reason those Iskanders fall on every HQ, ammo depot, airbase, train station, hotel full of French, fuel depot, etc. In the logistics war, Russia is absolutely thrashing Ukraine; the only place that is somewhat safe is the far west around Lviv. However as Russia moves west, even that won't be out of range much longer. The new Air Defense will help, but not in any amount to matter as they can't shoot down guided bombs, Iskanders, or Lancets and those three are falling by the *hundreds* every day.

I was hypothesizing all along that whatever aide is provided to Ukraine will not change the tempo and results of the war. Now Russia is putting a new twist to these aides. Any foreign weapon that hit Russia will have grave consequences to the country of origin. That country and its military will be legit targets anywhere, and any place. Take that as an intimidation, but Russia have now that option. Put that in your todo list how to deal with it if it happen. Bad news, Russia will escalate. My hyperbolic hypothesis. Just saying.😊

All of you who write that just want peace should consider one thing- Putin himself said, when Ukraine had troubles getting aid "I am not going to negotiate with someone who hasn't got ammunition".
Therefore supplying Ukraine with weapons is crucial in acheiving peace. As simple as that.

Support to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan from an American. The rest of the world, especially Europeans, better be grateful for the U.S. because it’s the US that provides the power that allows for a relatively peaceful, prosperous liberal democratic world order that we live in. Put it this way; if all western liberal democracies were like Denmark, Sweden, New Zealand that many people are always talking about, Nazism, Communism, Islamic Terrorism etc would completely dominate the world. Those Nordic and other European nations are only how they are because of what the US does
The rest of the world wants to leech off the US for military protection, let the US do the dirty work to keep the liberal democratic system dominant, and then criticize the US for how it does things. Europe has been a continent in decline for a century and has been completely overshadowed by the US. To cope with this, they have latched on to the tired anti American cliches. They also bizarrely feel entitled to American blood and treasure and the US doing the most about military conflicts at Europe's doorstep, benefitting from the US created system, benefitting from US innovation in science and technology, all while criticizing the US

Eventually, Ukraine will loose the war. No one has ever beaten Russia on the long run, except the Germans in World War I but then there was the Bolshevik revolution…

Exactly. I mean, this aid won't win us the war (I am Ukrainian, still living here). As we've seen, technology isn't everything and there's internal problems in terms of strategy, leadership, etc. which must be resolved - a lot of this is still on us and no international help can fix it. But it's always good to have more stuff to fight with, and we simply can't give up, because we know what Russian rule is like, and we know (based on how they took over the Baltics, central Europe, and here, before) that they do not keep their treaties. Any peace is an illusion unless Russia is beaten.

Proper military aid would have been useful two years ago. Two years of of vacillating and dithering with weapons supplies was not helpful. The professional ranks of the Ukrainian military, who could have made good use of this kit, are either dead, wounded or tired. Military support and sanctions have been piecemeal. This military aid, although needed and definitely useful, at this point is more akin to life support. Tanks were late, aircraft still on standby and missiles are still mired in discussions regarding range. Many US academics, politicians and other experts predicted the war based on Western behaviour and policy, yet zero preparation. Ukraine was never equipped to win from day one of the conflict. Even the sanctions were farcical and piecemeal. The EU recently announced its thirteenth sanction package, after two years of war. Why weren't all possible sanctions applied from day one of the conflict? If it takes two years to develop a sense of urgency, do not expect stellar results.
