Imagine being one of the best magic players ever and saying "I have to believe in myself, that I am a semi decent magic player..." magic is so tilting... and that is why it's so fun. Even the best tilt. Paul, thank you for the videos, this was fun, but tilting, and fun... even being tilting. ahahahaha
Wow! That second deck made me SO tilted for you! I hope you keep trying, I started watching when you were playing Bloomburrow and I absolutely love this format! Good luck for the next games?
Wow, that’s rough to watch. But that just shows these happen to everyone. I agree w/ your decision to just decompress after those b2b brutality. Bloomburrow is a very unforgiving set, even on sealed. I normally play a lot of win-a-box sealed events, but I’m skipping this time. Hope they do one for Duskmourn.
@haumph dude I entered twice and had exact same results , am taking break from game for a few days and hanging out with the fam lol 😂 btw I should add, after I lost I literally thought, “I can’t wait to see Paul wreck these fools” and was waiting for a vid from you but I still believe. Please redeem us!! 🫶🏼🙏🏼!!
Hey Paul, love your videos! Sorry about the luck in this one. I went 0-2 in Foundations direct, with a good black-white life gain deck. But yesterday I went a CLEAN 6 and 0 to win some boxes, largely in part to watching your videos! So keep up the content, we're rooting for you!
Damn, that double creep in the end feels bad, man. I actually watched your video with blb sealed at the arena open this week to "prepare" for the event and, somehow, I manage to get the boxes in my first try with a clean 6:0! The variation is too high in sealed tho, so in my second try I went 0:2. Anyway, good luck in your next tries, Paul! I probably wouldn't have managed to get those boxes without all that I've learned in your channel, you completely deserve to win at least a couple of those!
I feel your pain, my experience with this win-a-box almost went down the same path. I had a strong deck on my first attempt with Innkeepers Talent and Season of Burrow but went out with a quick 1-2 and then started the second attempt with an okay boros deck 0-1 to mana screw. Luckily I went 6-0 after that with just great draws and not encountering any bombs so I escaped despair by a hair's breadth but after that 0-1 on my second try I was as tilted as you were at that point in the video. I hope you have more luck on the next attempts, I'm gonna roll the dice on a few more attempts myself but having already won two boxes definitely makes any future outcome less tilting.
45:50 Savor would have worked against Pawpatch, the creature targeted by your spell/ability can't receive the +1/+1 counters, so -2/-2 would have killed it.
Hi. Part of the Magic Arena programming team. We actually decide how many lands you draw each game. So that 2nd sealed deck that was my team who controlled that.
Took me more tries than I would like to admit myself, at least most of them were 5 winners, but it sure hurts when you almost get there and lose to a top decked removal or horrible mana screw.
When you started the second deck and i saw the time remaining on the video… that was rough. The same thing happened to me when i played the last one of these. Made me want to quit Arena all together. You are awesome! Keep it up!
i think that's a bad play in general. you lose far too many resources if they dont have a spell and just follow it up with another creature. my life total was healthy enough where i could afford them having a kill spell there. it's just unfortunate that they had specifically another interactive spell on the following turn. i think on average you will lose more games triple blocking than single blocking.
I hope you play a couple more of these. I never really got to see bloomburrow cause it was before I found you and also bloomburrow was so short in any case. That said, I was surprised you didn't know what shortbow did. It basically carried me in all my drafts (which was only 3 to be fair, irl).
I ran 6 times yesterday and 0 wins. Opponents always have 3-4 crazy bombs and they curve out like i have never seen it before :D But in all 6 runs i never had so much bad luck like paul here :D:D Keep going brother stay strong. best run was 4-0 with a crazy perfect bats deck and then i met 2 final bosses.

so much tiltttt
Thanks for posting this. Magic is a game that puts all players through these moments.

Yeah BLB wasn't too bad for me but this run was particularly rough haha

I lived to see paul goin 0-3. That was tough. Better luck on your next attempts
definitely rough :(

gz!
Hmm, maybe it should have been 17 lands in the second deck. Rough luck.
Please play more of these. Better luck next time, that was brutal!

Glad one of us could get some wins

I usually dont enjoy videos when gamers get annoyed and complain, but this video was really funny 😂😂
Sorry Paul but I enjoyed the video 😉
Cool draft ! I would have gone with the white because I’m a sucker for wrath effects , but seeing this blackgreen in action was pretty sweet. 👍🎄🥳
1st match great, 2nd match very lucky opponent, 3rd match opponent’s deck too good. Still agree with your draft though.
Mega-video!
So so relateable. The need to go back to back, only to get struck by more variance. 😅😭
yeahhh
The old run it back! Been there for sure

The second deck is my typical play a box experience.

at least your pain softens mine 🤐
Mad Paul is best Paul
so angry
At 53 mins, I looked again at the video length and knew this was not gonna be a good time 😅
haha yeah!
OMG, this one was just a lose a box event, bad luck this time mr Cheon.
many gems were lost..
When you started the second deck and i saw the time remaining on the video… that was rough. The same thing happened to me when i played the last one of these. Made me want to quit Arena all together. You are awesome! Keep it up!
sealed is a trap man this is how they get all ur gems
I would've triple blocked the 1st time against the pig in game 2. Even with the death toucher. Had to get it off the field.

I have nostalgia for Paul saying “Carrot Cake”.
I wooulda tried a Racoon deck here
No power in P1? Unlucky 😭
oh no, those last games...
they were rough hhaha
@@haumph yeah im suffering from second hand tilt
I hope you play a couple more of these. I never really got to see bloomburrow cause it was before I found you and also bloomburrow was so short in any case.

will try!
yessss love bloomburrow
I did 3 runs yesterday and had a very similar experience. Sealed is a scam format at this point
its because ur running 16 lands
ok
I ran 6 times yesterday and 0 wins. Opponents always have 3-4 crazy bombs and they curve out like i have never seen it before :D But in all 6 runs i never had so much bad luck like paul here :D:D Keep going brother stay strong.

sorry :(
bloomburrow jumpscare
holy moly that second run :( i'm tilted for you mang
Dang, playing starfall invocation was probably the only way to win some of those games
Good times come after a bad times. In time youll win.
I had a game where my dark star augur drew the only 5-drop in my deck to exactly kill me on my winning turn for a trophy.
oof sorry to hear that!
Sealed is so stupid
Sorry for the bad luck recently
Yay !!!
i hated this set with all my heart… wish you the best of luck though, rooting for some boxes!!
Omg 😂😂😂. Bad beats😅
Gotta be rigged. There's no way.
