It's always great hearing someone leaving Christianity. It's interesting that you bring up July 4th as a national holiday. America's birthday. Happy 4th of July. Be safe. When I was a child, I had a firecracker and lit it but forgot to throw it, and it went off. What a sting that was. OUCH! Luckily, nothing serious happened. I grew up Catholic in Puerto Rico. When I moved to United States, didn’t know anybody and my neighbor invited me to a Christian Bible Study. I loved the way they seem to know Scriptures, and for me, knowing more about God was important. I renounced the Catholic system to become a “free Christian. During my time as a Christian, the congregation would fall in love with the Jewish Scriptures, and the pastor had to remind us that we do not belong to the old covenant, that we are free under the new covenant. Why he had to do this? Because when you study the Word inspired by Hashem, it is a natural thing to fall in love with His Word. I was intrigued in learning more, I devoured the Scriptures and decided to study the books that no one studies: Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy. My eyes opened, I couldn’t believe how many contradictions I was taught. Only by studying it I discovered the truth. Now I don’t believe in Jesus, in the gospels, or any of the letters. But Im not Jewish either. I feel good because Hashem selected the Jewish people to show the world how to live. So I am a product of Hashem’s goal, Im learning to live by studying the Torah, watching my Jewish friends and learning from them many things. What that makes me? I don’t know.
If your mother isn't Jewish, you are obligated to live according to the 7 Noahide laws that Noah followed, and you're not obligated to become Jewish. You MUST, however, LEARN from the Orthodox Rabbis, who have been tasked with interpreting the Hebrew scriptures for us. You are welcome at any time to convert to Judaism, after the proper study with an Orthodox Rabbi. It's not recommended, though, since it's a very complex and expensive way of life. You should look up Karaite Judaism, it is a form of Judaism without the oral Torah. It predates Rabbinic Judaism. There have always been Jews that thought that the rabbis went too far by ADDING so many traditions and doctrines not found in the original scripture of Yehowah. Use that same mine, that Yehowah gave you, that opened your eyes to the false doctrines of Greco-Roman Catholic Christianity.
For example, the RABBINIC TRADITION for the prohibition against speaking Yehowah’s name, DESPITE there being no such prohibition in the original scripture of Yehowah! In fact his name, Yehowah is SAID almost 7000 times in the Tanakh!

Original sin, the devil, and eternal torture in hell don't exist in Judaism. Judaism makes no claims of the future that won't be objectively proven when fulfilled. But most importantly the Tanakh says that no man can die for anothers sin. And that HaShem never wanted sacrifices in the first place
Jews and Noahide do not believe in salvation but believe in the laws for righteousness. They have to strive for work to achieve righteousness. Christians believe in salvation by the Grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Hence, Christians are not under the laws but under the Grace of God. Those who lived by the laws for therefore be judged at the End of Days for righteousness based on the laws (Deu 6:25). Deu 28:15-68 and Lev 26:14-39 applies if one breaks any single law. That's the reason why the Laws is the curse if you failed to follow. Christians will not be judged for righteousness but for the rewards according to our works. Salvation does not depend on works (Eph 2:8-9).

I have a question. What was the faith before 70AD as there was never a J in English or Hebrew then so it could not be called judaism. And Yehudah. Is a tribe not a religion of the hebrews so I don’t understand why it is called judaism or what was it called before Judaism?
I see some of these comments and often ask myself why people particularly christiand do not read the bible because they obviously miss quite a bit if they are reading the bible. Jesus promised multiple times that he would return 2,000 years ago. He made this promise to his followers according to the scriptures of the New Testament. Mathew 23: 10, 16: 28, and 24: 34. He promised them (jews) that he would return and would see it. Now if all of you who follow Jesus do not understand and accept that the promise was for the jews and specifically those jews that followed Jesus and no one else then unfortunately you will be stuck in the dream, stuck in lie that is written in the New Testament. Okay very good arguments. Except the part about people seeing visions bc they want to. I had an apparition of a saint, of Mary & the child Jesus when I wa 4 yrs old. Long before I knew who these people were. No one can tell me it was imaginal. In any case U may believe whatever U wish. I can't tell you

Don't be ridiculous! Jesus prophesied his own death before it occurred, and he prophesied the destruction of the temple in 70 CE. Jesus left the Earth 40 years before that, and his apostles recorded their gospels in various years between Jesus Ascension and death of each of the apostles. Not all the apostles were killed at exactly the same time. We know that John was the last to be killed in his old age, and that he recorded his own letters to the congregations and the book of Revelation, which is also prophecy. A comparison of Revelation to the book of Daniel proves them to be bookends. One cannot be interpreted without the other. Malachi was indeed the end of the prophets, so then how is it that Jesus and John are both Prophets? Malachi was the last of the prophets to the Hebrew people alone. Jesus and John were prophets to the entire world. Their prophecies are global. It is absurd to say that Mark's gospel was written after the destruction of the Stone Temple. The only one of the apostles who lived that long was John, who had been imprisoned. You haven't figured anything out, you are speculating based on your bias. true Christians taught by Christ for not at all happy about the destruction of the Stone Temple! The Catholic papacy was happy about the destruction of the Stone Temple because it was the Romans who did the destroy! The Christians were not Romans! The Christians, up into the third century were primarily Jews! Those gentile converts to Christianity up until the third Temple were carefully cultivated by those Jews! Rome and the Catholic papacy most definitely wanted to destroy the Jewish temple, and the Jewish Messiah jesus, and set up their counterfeit Church in Rome dressed in Hebrew levitical robes, and imitating the levitical priesthood rituals! The papacy claims to be the vicar of christ, in place of christ, and even claims to be infallible God on Earth in the volume of the Catechism! This Roman Catholic Church by the way went out martyring both Jews and Christians in the most cruel and vile ways! This was the beginning of the crusades and the inquisitions which eventually ended in the Protestant movements against the Catholic papacy, and which caused even American democracy to shun Catholics for president up until Kennedy! The whole reason that the pilgrims came to America from Europe was to escape the religious wars between the Church of england, the Protestant church, and the Catholic church, as well as the Coptic and Byzantine Church! People are impressed with these things because they have had a different experience than you, and they have accumulated different knowledge than you. There is no doubt that the movies, mostly made by Jews; I give the Ten Commandments buy Cecil B Demille as my example, take a great artistic license which causes them to deviate from the truth of scripture, and which causes many people to believe the movie to be more truthful than the scripture, which is not always easy to understand for the layman. The average Christian read the Bible with great difficulty. But in my experience, the average Jew does know better. I had a Jewish neighbor who's Jewish husband had no idea that Noah was part of the Jewish Old Testament. He made fun of me for believing that God actually flooded the Earth to above the mountaintops. He made fun of me for believing that God caused Jonah to be swallowed by a whale. Imagine his embarrassment when his wife informed him that both of those stories are in the Old Testament. The fact is, most Christians do not truly understand the Old Testament portion of the Bible, and most Jews do not understand the New Testament portion. And an unusual number have not read the entire Bible all the way through.
The book of Hebrew credited to Paul is not written as a book at all, but a letter to the congregation of Hebrews. Paul is talking directly to his own people as a Jew trying to appeal to Jews from a Jewish perspective. This is opposed to the letter to the Galatians which is addressed to gentile converts to Christianity who know little or nothing about the Torah and whom the Jews were trying to convert Noahites to Judaism. Paul was simply trying to explain to the galatian Christians that they did not have to convert to Judaism in order to be saved by Christ. They did not have to become Jews according to the temple law because the Stone Temple was about to be destroyed. Meanwhile the book of Hebrews is appealing specifically to the Hebrew people explaining to them why God was changing the covenant from the Mosaic law to the Messianic law. Paul was explaining the similarities and the differences in the covenant, just as there are similarities and all the previous covenants before the Mosaic covenant. Neither Paul nor Jesus we're trying to diminish the Torah because they both quoted from the Torah! Paul is trying to explain the reason for the transition from the Mosaic covenant to the Messianic covenant for Hebrews. Paul was the quintessential Jew because he was a Pharisee! Paul was Tarsus, and was a Roman citizen. Are there not Jews born in other countries today who still fervently consider themselves to be Jewish? This is not unusual at all! There is no confusion here or difficulty here except for those an understanding because their minds are fixed on what they believed to be the truth, and they cannot consider the possibility of anything else! In the beginning there was the Adamic covenant with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden to eat only seed bearing plants. Then there was the Noahite covenant with God commanding Noah and his descendants to eat everything that moves, saving the kosher animals for sacrifice. Then there was the abrahamic covenant where people were saved by faith in God, Then along came the Mosaic covenant, where God gave the law to the sons of Israel, not the Nations! The sons of Israel were specifically chosen and set apart from the Nations as a special people. Then the Messianic covenant, saved people from sin and death as the atonement sacrifice promised in the Mosaic covenant, but not accomplished through animals! God had become sick to death of bloody animal sacrifices! Jesus also hints that there will be new covenants in the future beyond the Messianic covenant. The Christian Bible has not lied or malevolent done anything to diminish the Torah! The Christian Bible uses the Torah as its foundation, and both Jesus and his apostles quote continually from the Torah before the New Testament is even written down and compiled in a canon. Each and every one of the covenants given by God over the millennia are stepping Stones towards the final goal which is the kingdom of God. One of the things on the agenda was to bring the Hebrews in the Nations back together as one cohesive people. God was not trying to save the Hebrews and annihilate the Nations. God was not trying to annihilate the Hebrews and save the Nations. God was trying to save all of mankind who had been affected by the inherited sin and death passed down from Adam. According to Psalm 82, everyone of the sons of God who received the word of God were called by the title gods by God himself. We see this occur with Moses at Exodus 416 in Exodus 7:1. We also see it occur with Jesus at Psalm 82:8 and Hebrews 1:8. This is how Jesus is referred to as God's son and as a god, just like Moses was!!! And it is to this particular prophet, jesus, that God put all authority under his feet, as he subdues all of Jesus enemies over the past 2000 years, and as the good news of that kingdom is spread around the globe, The last enemy being Death itself, whom God has allowed to inherit the right to sit on his throne according to the requirements of Psalm 82. This should not come as a surprise to any Jew because Jesus is a jew, like Moses was a Jew, like all the prophets were Jews! Jesus was not a gentile, Jesus was not a Roman, Jesus was not a Christian! Christian was what Jesus taught because Jesus was the christ. It would be very difficult for Jesus to follow himself, since Christian means follower of Christ. If Jesus followed himself he would be going in circles. What would have happened if Moses had followed himself? Moses would have never gotten out of Egypt because he would be going in circles! Because the Jews followed Moses out of Egypt and into the desert, they were delivered from bondage in Egypt. But there's still the matter of being saved from death. That is why Jesus was sent to be the Savior from death.
Again you are confusing Christians with Catholics. The first Christians were all jews, and the first century Christians all spread the good news of the Gospel to the Nations around them until they passed from the Earth through martyrdom. The second tier of disciples were also Jews and directly converted gentiles. The third tier gentiles who converted were still influenced by those second tier Jews who had been taught directly by the apostles. Then along comes Constantine who inherits his father's throne and wants to unite his warring Kingdom buy martyring all of the perceived troublemakers. Those troublemakers were the Christians and the Jews, not the pagan Romans in Constantine's eyes. Meanwhile, Constantine's mother is a genuine Christian. This carried the death penalty in Rome at that time. Constantine doesn't want to kill his mother so to counter this, he legalizes Christianity, but not true Christianity, Constantine legalizes the blending of Christianity with Robin paganism and calls it Catholicism which means universal Pantheon. So now, it's legal for Constantine's mother to go to the holy Land and look for the sites in Israel where holy events occurred and confiscate them for the Church of Rome. Constantine himself did not convert to Christianity until his deathbed. And even at that time it's questionable whether his conversion was at all sincere.

Considering, that Yes, Judaism has roots in ancient Semitic religions, (paganism) including polytheistic Canaanite religions and Yahwism. Judaism also incorporated elements of other Semitic religions, such as Babylonian religion, which is reflected in the early prophetic books of the Hebrew Bible. Judaism is believed to have evolved from these religions around the 6th or 5th century BCE. How can you sit there and climb the Judaism is the correct and true religion. All Abraham religions are rooted and paganism rendering them all nothing but dangerous man-made garbage.

It depends on what you call "educated." Rabbi Singer is obsessed with Jewish Tanakh and it looks like he knows it inside out, plus the New Testament as well. And he clearly thinks this is all there is to religious beliefs. But it isn't. Christianity, especially in its Catholic tradition, but Anglican and Orthodox as well, goes far beyond "the Bible." And, in case of the Catholics, it does not even recommend taking "the Bible" at its word literally, pointing out its many inconsistencies, obvious errors, legendary material especially in its early part, nonsensical regimen of ancient superstition and custom without place in a modern society, etc. It's just one of many sources of the religious doctrine and tradition of Christianity. Specifically, Christianity declares that it takes Tanakh only as a broadly brushed background material to the story of Jesus, but rejects its detailed list of rules, laws, etc. This is why the religion became so popular, gathering 2.4 billion people under the roof of its churches today.

mentioning Jesus' prophecy of the temple being destroyed as "silly" in Mark is easily answered by saying that Mark was recalling something that Jesus said while he was still alive , which was about 40 years before the temple was destroyed.This makes it a genuine prophecy-ie a prediction of an event to come which hadn't happened yet. I grew up Catholic in Puerto Rico. When I moved to United States, didn’t know anybody and my neighbor invited me to a Christian Bible Study. I loved the way they seem to know Scriptures, and for me, knowing more about God was important. I renounced the Catholic system to become a “free Christian. During my time as a Christian, the congregation would fall in love with the Jewish Scriptures, and the pastor had to remind us that we do not belong to the old covenant, that we are free under the new covenant. Why he had to do this? Because when you study the Word inspired by Hashem, it is a natural thing to fall in love with His Word. I was intrigued in learning more, I devoured the Scriptures and decided to study the books that no one studies: Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy. My eyes opened, I couldn’t believe how many contradictions I was taught. Only by studying it I discovered the truth. Now I don’t believe in Jesus, in the gospels, or any of the letters. But Im not Jewish either. I feel good because Hashem selected the Jewish people to show the world how to live. So I am a product of Hashem’s goal, Im learning to live by studying the Torah, watching my Jewish friends and learning from them many things. What that makes me? I don’t know.

If your mother isn't Jewish, you are obligated to live according to the 7 Noahide laws that Noah followed, and you're not obligated to become Jewish. You MUST, however, LEARN from the Orthodox Rabbis, who have been tasked with interpreting the Hebrew scriptures for us. You are welcome at any time to convert to Judaism, after the proper study with an Orthodox Rabbi. It's not recommended, though, since it's a very complex and expensive way of life. Jews and Noahide do not believe in salvation but believe in the laws for righteousness. They have to strive for work to achieve righteousness. Christians believe in salvation by the Grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Hence, Christians are not under the laws but under the Grace of God. Those who lived by the laws for therefore be judged at the End of Days for righteousness based on the laws (Deu 6:25). Deu 28:15-68 and Lev 26:14-39 applies if one breaks any single law. That's the reason why the Laws is the curse if you failed to follow. Christians will not be judged for righteousness but for the rewards according to our works. Salvation does not depend on works (Eph 2:8-9).

I see some of these comments and often ask myself why people particularly christiand do not read the bible because they obviously miss quite a bit if they are reading the bible. Jesus promised multiple times that he would return 2,000 years ago. He made this promise to his followers according to the scriptures of the New Testament. Mathew 23: 10, 16: 28, and 24: 34. He promised them (jews) that he would return and would see it. Now if all of you who follow Jesus do not understand and accept that the promise was for the jews and specifically those jews that followed Jesus and no one else then unfortunately you will be stuck in the dream, stuck in lie that is written in the New Testament.

The fact is, most Christians do not truly understand the Old Testament portion of the Bible, and most Jews do not understand the New Testament portion.

The book of Hebrew credited to Paul is not written as a book at all, but a letter to the congregation of Hebrews. Paul is talking directly to his own people as a Jew trying to appeal to Jews from a Jewish perspective.
This is opposed to the letter to the Galatians which is addressed to gentile converts to Christianity who know little or nothing about the Torah and whom the Jews were trying to convert Noahites to Judaism. Paul was simply trying to explain to the galatian Christians that they did not have to convert to Judaism in order to be saved by Christ. They did not have to become Jews according to the temple law because the Stone Temple was about to be destroyed.
Meanwhile the book of Hebrews is appealing specifically to the Hebrew people explaining to them why God was changing the covenant from the Mosaic law to the Messianic law. Paul was explaining the similarities and the differences in the covenant, just as there are similarities and all the previous covenants before the Mosaic covenant.
Neither Paul nor Jesus we're trying to diminish the Torah because they both quoted from the Torah! Paul is trying to explain the reason for the transition from the Mosaic covenant to the Messianic covenant for Hebrews.
Paul was the quintessential Jew because he was a Pharisee! Paul was Tarsus, and was a Roman citizen. Are there not Jews born in other countries today who still fervently consider themselves to be Jewish? This is not unusual at all!
There is no confusion here or difficulty here except for those an understanding because their minds are fixed on what they believed to be the truth, and they cannot consider the possibility of anything else!
In the beginning there was the Adamic covenant with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden to eat only seed bearing plants.
Then there was the Noahite covenant with God commanding Noah and his descendants to eat everything that moves, saving the kosher animals for sacrifice.
Then there was the abrahamic covenant where people were saved by faith in God,
Then along came the Mosaic covenant, where God gave the law to the sons of Israel, not the Nations! The sons of Israel were specifically chosen and set apart from the Nations as a special people.
Then the Messianic covenant, saved people from sin and death as the atonement sacrifice promised in the Mosaic covenant, but not accomplished through animals! God had become sick to death of bloody animal sacrifices!
Jesus also hints that there will be new covenants in the future beyond the Messianic covenant.
The Christian Bible has not lied or malevolent done anything to diminish the Torah! The Christian Bible uses the Torah as its foundation, and both Jesus and his apostles quote continually from the Torah before the New Testament is even written down and compiled in a canon.
Each and every one of the covenants given by God over the millennia are stepping Stones towards the final goal which is the kingdom of God. One of the things on the agenda was to bring the Hebrews in the Nations back together as one cohesive people. God was not trying to save the Hebrews and annihilate the Nations. God was not trying to annihilate the Hebrews and save the Nations. God was trying to save all of mankind who had been affected by the inherited sin and death passed down from Adam.
According to Psalm 82, everyone of the sons of God who received the word of God were called by the title gods by God himself. We see this occur with Moses at Exodus 416 in Exodus 7:1. We also see it occur with Jesus at Psalm 82:8 and Hebrews 1:8. This is how Jesus is referred to as God's son and as a god, just like Moses was!!!
And it is to this particular prophet, jesus, that God put all authority under his feet, as he subdues all of Jesus enemies over the past 2000 years, and as the good news of that kingdom is spread around the globe, The last enemy being Death itself, whom God has allowed to inherit the right to sit on his throne according to the requirements of Psalm 82.
This should not come as a surprise to any Jew because Jesus is a jew, like Moses was a Jew, like all the prophets were Jews! Jesus was not a gentile, Jesus was not a Roman, Jesus was not a Christian! Christian was what Jesus taught because Jesus was the christ. It would be very difficult for Jesus to follow himself, since Christian means follower of Christ. If Jesus followed himself he would be going in circles.
What would have happened if Moses had followed himself? Moses would have never gotten out of Egypt because he would be going in circles! Because the Jews followed Moses out of Egypt and into the desert, they were delivered from bondage in Egypt. But there's still the matter of being saved from death. That is why Jesus was sent to be the Savior from death.
Again you are confusing Christians with Catholics.
The first Christians were all jews, and the first century Christians all spread the good news of the Gospel to the Nations around them until they passed from the Earth through martyrdom. The second tier of disciples were also Jews and directly converted gentiles. The third tier gentiles who converted were still influenced by those second tier Jews who had been taught directly by the apostles.
Then along comes Constantine who inherits his father's throne and wants to unite his warring Kingdom buy martyring all of the perceived troublemakers. Those troublemakers were the Christians and the Jews, not the pagan Romans in Constantine's eyes.
Meanwhile, Constantine's mother is a genuine Christian. This carried the death penalty in Rome at that time. Constantine doesn't want to kill his mother so to counter this, he legalizes Christianity, but not true Christianity, Constantine legalizes the blending of Christianity with Robin paganism and calls it Catholicism which means universal Pantheon.
So now, it's legal for Constantine's mother to go to the holy Land and look for the sites in Israel where holy events occurred and confiscate them for the Church of Rome. Constantine himself did not convert to Christianity until his deathbed. And even at that time it's questionable whether his conversion was at all sincere.

God gave the covenant to Abraham in flesh the circumcised. But after Abraham, God made a new covenant to his Son he sent, Jesus. To prove it, his Father does miracles through his Son to prove to his people his Son telling the truth. Abraham doesn't make miracles as far as I know even shone his face. If you understand the circumcised in flesh now is not already the covenant of God, because God already made a new one through the first and he is the last. mentioning Jesus' prophecy of the temple being destroyed as "silly" in Mark is easily answered by saying that Mark was recalling something that Jesus said while he was still alive , which was about 40 years before the temple was destroyed.This makes it a genuine prophecy-ie a prediction of an event to come which hadn't happened yet.
