It's been twenty years since I last practised Christianity. Today Rabbi Tovia said something that might have seemed ordinary but was intensely so profound and helped me answer the unspoken query which I am sure many Christians question, especially when you've left the faith. How does Hashem view me and what will my judgement be since: I testified to so many and brouht them into Christianity . I have never felt comfortable about my part in preaching the gospel, performing miracles etc in the name of a false god. So today thank you both. The Mormon converted Christian lady and Rabbi Tovia for helping me see that side of Hashem's point of view through the truth of HIS torah. A heavy weight has been lifted from my heart and soul.( I did not know it was even/still there!) I truly believed that was the Gd of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob's will at the time to lead people to Jesus! This quest started at 15 to about 35yesrs of age. Today I am 62 and Bezrat Hashem, will one day be converted to Judaism. My husband and I love the torah, practise Judaism as best we can and one day hope to be in Yerushalem. So be encouraged you are not alone dear ex Mormon sister . The G_d of all Israel, your Father is just a prayer away.Hold on to the truth you have found and pursue it with wisdom and love. PS ask your pastor to check the transliteration errorz in the Old Testament for himself. Especially those key verses we were taught pointing to the false Messiah.

I'm not surprised that some people asked about Easter since this show was Easter Sunday. Good show as usual, and I actually began listening to the audio on the rabbis website. I listened to the first one last week. I will continue to listen to them in my free time.

Rabbi Tovia made me realize I believed in Tanakh first when I was a boy. I knew it more than I knew the NT. When I read the latter from beginning to end I was like ‘wtf’?

I never saw Jesus in the "Old Testament", much less being God & wondered why there's verses missing or added or deleted in the New Testament. I knew it wasn't Jesus in Genesis, Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel. I saw Gabriel, Michael or God Himself speaking through a donkey, but never Jesus. And Revelation?! Copy cat John got some of those visions from Daniel & Ezekiel! No wonder the church doesn't want us to read the whole Bible. They have no answer's except believe or go to hell.
This conversion is so interesting! This is another good reason why I want at this present point a fuller authorized edition to our books as Jewish men and not. You just tell them, that after studying what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai, you can no longer, in good conscience, celebrate something you no longer believe in, and that God never said to us. In no way can you expect this transition to go smoothly (I speak from experience!), and you most likely will lose friends and relatives. But if you TRULY wish to do what's right in the Eyes of God, you MUST just press ahead and 'brush off' (as it were) what people say to you, and continue to learn from the Rabbis. When I left Christianity 20+ years ago, l didn't believe what the Rabbis were saying at first, because of my heavy indoctrination by 40+ YEARS of Evangelical Christianity, but the more I listened to what the Rabbis had to say about Mt. Sinai, the MORE sense the Hebrew Bible made, and the LESS sense the Christian Bible made! You have to TRULY want to know what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai, and ONLY then will He open your eyes to His Truth.

God told us to listen to what the Rabbis teach, since they (and ONLY THEY!) have been studying the original Hebrew scriptures all the way back to Mt. Sinai. So, in the absence of the Temple, the Orthodox Rabbis are our spiritual teachers, since they have been tasked by God with interpreting the Hebrew scriptures for us.

I've stopped this twice, because of this noise that feels like a jihadist tapping a spear into my head, onto my skull.....about halfway through. I'm not trying to be mean, I have a SERIOUSLY bad problem with noises. I started it over, but once my brain has been alerted to seriously traumatic noises being present, even the beginning is bothering me. I'm hearing something that sounds like a misfunctioning baby bottle warmer, and I was even sensitive to a noise that Rabbi Singer just, without thinking, made..... while explaining (before 'the innocents cannot die for the wicked.....', just so you know I'm really trying to listen). The thing is, even when I try VERY hard not to be offended by all those things that can offend people, in movies, etc, the noises can often just be TOO MUCH. If I watch news, it's usually short, except for Yair Pinto & Palki Sharma, which has to do with a subject you want to watch. I listen to Rabbi Singer all the time, but he's especially calming when I find a good long one, to listen when driving across town to pick up my husband, & back. We both get less stressed on the way home. It helps me to ignore small criticisms, plus I learn a lot. So, I'm asking for the sake of my soul, my driving, my husband's heart, my state of mind......can you especially get rid of the noises after the middle? I NEED THIS SHOW. That's a HUGE thank you, even though I don't always agree with everything. Billy Graham said God never changes, so why didn't Jesus as a human sacrifice bother Billy Graham ( I saw him on TH-cam yesterday). Sometimes prayer helps people to think, & think more rationally, though. Paul must've been one of the WORST people to spread Christianity. He sounds kind of looney, in a criminal way. The other side of it is, he managed to spread Christianity, so I guessed it worked. I know you think this is bad, but imagine the world without it. Maybe God is using Christianity to bring people to Judaism? Maybe the weirdos like Paul just corrupted the story of Jesus?
I prayed for the truth as a Christian because I saw ISSUES in "the bible"..... And it lead me here and to see all the issues you pointed out! But I still question the tenoch as well. Even as a Christian I had problems with the character of God in the Hebrew bible.. I mean if somehow God showed me that regardless of his nature that it's true then of course I would worship and believe in that variation.. But when I read it now with new skeptical eyes I can find issues in Parts everywhere where it seems like man made up these stories.. and man was giving their interpretation of how they think God should act or would act! So I don't fault myself for asking God for truth. Because as Christians were taught that Jesus is the truth, and that we have it and know the truth. But 6 years ago as a new Christian and hearing that we were living in the New Covenant times. I had issues because I looked around and there's a thousand different Christian denominations. No one agrees with each other. They all claim to have the same holy spirit yet they still don't agree. In the pride in all these different denominations to think that they have it right and all the other ones have it wrong! So yeah I prayed to God about 3 years ago which was like 3 years into my Christian walk. And I asked God at all costs to lead me into truth even if it hurt me or made me change my beliefs. I just never thought that he would lead me away from Jesus that was something that took me by surprise and affected so much in my life. To the point I'm sort of in this rebellious stage and upset. I feel like I was taking advantage of as a Christian and my lowest state in life and I wasted 6 years on it. So now it doesn't feel great because the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament as Christians call it that I had issues with is all that's left? The ruthless God who is all about war and conquering setting up kingdoms. In making his people follow strict laws to the point of killing them if they even try to help in their heart by stopping the ark from falling over or picking up a stick on the Sabbath..😢 I'm at the point where obviously I still believe in God but maybe he didn't write a book. But that leaves me with the issue of death and sickness and all the other issues of the world all the animals that want to kill us. And feeling that way I'm sure a lot of people felt that way and that's when they were trying to come up with ways to figure this whole thing out. And death was the biggest hurdle and they came up with a pretty good idea for it I just can't see it as God doing that to us and punishing Us in such a way just because we didn't follow rules exactly right..
The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings, as God said to him, "I will come unto you in a thick cloud that the people may hear when I speak with you and will also believe in you forever" (Exodus 19:9).
Yeshua didn't come to establish any denomination. I've questioned this myself and the answer is plain and simple. He came to establish his "ekklesia" ( a calling or a summon to an assembly). That's it, he's the Messiah spoken of throughout the Torah. In Micah 5:2 the Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem Ephrata and in Daniel's vision he's coming in the clouds. Two comings.

Therefore it is your life for his life, your people for his people." (1 Ki 20:42). Ahab dies in battle but the Israelites don't. Commenting on this in the Jerusalem Talmud R. Jochanan says in the name of R. Shimeon that; “That single drop of blood that flowed from that righteous man atoned for all of Israel” 4 Macc 17:20-22 "The tyrant was punished, and the homeland purified -- they having become, as it were, a ransom for the sin of our nation. And through the blood of those devout ones and their death as an atonement, divine Providence preserved Israel that previously had been afflicted."
Is it possible that people could misunderood the message, if the crusifiction was true... In other words, Jesus being born as a human, did teach the words that came from God, through Jesus, then crusified and rectified. Could it be that there was a message that humans will receive everlasting life, if you trusted in God. Gods word was preached through Jesus, not for Jesus to be worshiped, but to get humans to worhip God. That people misunderstood the whole message??

You don't know anything about the Bible. Who was the Lord who walked around the garden of eden? Who was the one who talked with Abraham before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah? It couldn't have been God. Because scripture says you will die if you see him. It was Yeshua AKA Jesus.
I have read it, but to say that Isaiah is speaking of the land of Israel (and not of Jesus Christ) in his writings is an example of how people can take the plainness of the words and mould them into whatever it may be that’s acceptable to them. Do we truly all want to know the truth, and how much do we want to know it? Everyone must ask this of themselves, then, if we are genuine in our desires, G.d will show us the truth. But, we can still refuse to accept it. Our choice.

I have a question about God and the suffering servant in Isaiah (stone edition tanakh) 52:13 Behold, my servant will succeed; he will be exalted and become high and exceedingly lofty. 53:10 Hashem desired to oppress him and he afflicted him; if his soul would acknowledge guilt, he would see offspring and live long days and the desire of Hashem would succeed in his hand. Does this mean that the servant will be very good and that God is hurting him for amusement (desired to attack) and wants him to acknowledge his guilt? Like, is God wanting him to see him as pure evil for knowingly and intentionally hurting good for amusement?

The whole book of Leviticus is about the attornment of sins through blood sacrifice, unblemished animals. No sinner can take the place for another sinner only a sinless person and that's the person of Yeshua. The Rabbis didn't even came into the scene until the first century BC. The spiritual leaders were the Levites the Rabbis were appointed by Rome. You need to do some historical research and find out who the Rabbis really are and what they truly think about non Jews.

I agree. But the Christian Bible is as much a fairy tale as the Tenak. You say "it is myth upon myth". It is all myth. You are basically involved in literary narrative fiction criticism. To argue either is to simply compare two novels and the characters in each like any literature teacher. Both these stories are many millenia old. To claim "this is a rigorous methodoly and these things are historical" is heuristically silly.

I just think de-bunking Christianity is like shooting fish in a barrel but I don’t think Judaism will suffer if a few Jews are recruited. I think the number of Christian conversions to Judaism far outnumber them. But religious intolerance (and all religions except Buddhism - which is not technically a “religion” since it is non-theistic) are intolerant of each other and so these animosities lead to conflicts, deaths and war. Don't you think Jesus is just being like a dramatic man, with the flesh & blood? He doesn't appear humble, though. It's amazing that most of us never doubt that he's humble. Maybe he was going into a super gorey state, totally freaking out if his mind, when he mentioned his flesh & blood....because they were about to kill him in such a painful way. I think he really just wanted us to celebrate him, with friends, family, congregations, etc.
Why does Elijah say in 2 kings that the Jews killed all.their prophets and wanted to kill Him also? Is that why Jesus was killed? Because He was trying to turn people back to God instead of their own man made traditions?

Reb Tovia described Mormonism as an accretion of idolatry. I have to disagree. Among non-Jews, Mormons are among the best people. However, their theology should be described as a "comic book religion." Thus it is total nonsense before it gets to the level of idolatry!

What do you say when a Catholic praise for truth or Mormon or a Muslim and they get a truth that is different from yours? Is it only your truth that you believe in that comes from God? That's the problem. I have seen churches where everyone is telling the entire community that God spoke to them and there are 15 different stories about what God said and wants... Spend the next 6 months learning some basic Hebrew and read and all these answers will go away. Stop going on Google and asking for some other opinion from some other person who has some other idea who has their own truth. Read but it has to be read as it was written. It is not very difficult. 6 months in your life and you will be changed forever.

According to levitical law, an innocent little lamb had to be sacrificed to cover the sins of the Hebrew people. The blood of this innocent lamb was supposed to redeem the Hebrew from their sin. When God got sick to death of the glut of animal sacrifices which did not seem to persuade the Hebrew people to stop sinning, he provided a single sacrifice in one pure human being whom God made sure was born without inheritance from Adam, and who lived his entire life sinless, and who died sinless. Therefore that person was able to replace all of the animal sacrifices in order to buy mankind back from sin and death. He was not just buying back Jews from sin and death, but all of the Nations as well if they put their faith in the Savior whom God sent for them! This is no different than the sons of Israel having to put their faith in Moses as the deliverer whom God had sent. If any Hebrew had not followed Moses out of egypt, that Hebrew would have remained in bondage in egypt, and quite possibly even killed due to pharaohs wrath against Moses. Those Hebrews who put their faith in Moses and followed him out of Egypt were saved from bondage to pharaoh. The Jew Jesus is no different Dan Moses. People have to put their faith in Jesus just as they had to put their faith in Moses as the chosen of God for that particular assignment. Jesus is a Jewish man who was given an assignment from God to save the people of Israel. When the people of Israel did not follow him wholesale, but the people of the nation's did put their faith in him, God turned his attention to the Nations. Jesus entire purpose was to save his own people first, and then the nations. This is always been the rule in the Torah. And what happened in 70 CE to the nation of israel? We know that the Romans already occupied Israel even in Jesus day, and they went in to Jerusalem and slaughtered the levitical priests and destroyed the Stone Temple. They've been scattered the Jewish people to the Nations! Jesus warned them this was going to happen 40 years in advance and offered them salvation from it! They didn't believe him and considered him a false prophet! They brought him up on charges to pharaoh to condemn and crucify him as a false prophet. Pontius Pilate did not believe in any of the Jewish laws concerning false prophecies. So the Jews presented Jesus to pilate as a false king of Israel. So Jesus was put to death by the Romans for sedition. The Jews brought the charges against jesus, the Romans carried out the execution, therefore no one is innocent in this crime!!! We are all guilty of the death of the Jewish Messiah Jesus!
I admit paganism came to Christendom by Romans, thank God God saved the church through Martin Luther. Now we have lively, Holy relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus did not die for people's individual sins! Jesus died to redeem mankind from Death resulting from their sins! Every single human dies of either old age resulting from accumulation of sins over a lifetime, or we die from diseases resulting from sin, or we die from trauma, usually resulting from sin on the part of someone. Even newborn babies who haven't even had an opportunity to sin, also die. Why do they die? Newborn babies die because they have inherited the flaw, the imperfection and propensity towards sin from Adam. Jesus still died to redeem that newborn baby from death. He is the redemption sacrifice described in Leviticus! The Jews once did this using a lamb. God replace the animals with a single human being who was born pure without inherited,, and died without sin. Therefore his blood was more valuable than that of the innocent little lamb. Jesus blood was enough to not just cover sin temporarily like the lamb, but Jesus blood was enough to actually redeem the person entirely from death and buy them a resurrection!

No true messiah teaches contrary to God's Word, the Torah, unless you believe in a god that contradicts itself. By adding a requirement to worship a human being as God in order to be forgiven by God, you've both added to the Torah commandments and nullified from Torah commandments at the same time, and God explicitly warned us not to add or remove from the commandments of Torah. He even warned us against this immediately before the warning of future false prophets ;) Repent. Turn to your Maker with purity of heart, free from giving His worship to another.
Why you bring out of context verses. When our whole nation simultaneously had revelation of G-d we couldn't handle it and said Moses go get the rest of the Torah for us. Still no intermediary. First one is to be fruitful and multiple and applies to Jews and non Jews. During the weekly Torah reading each week that completes the whole Torah yearly I can happily ppint oit which of the 613 mitzvot are included, however it is a bit much to include all in a youtube comment.

Jesus said know the truth and the truth will set you free. Jesus said he got the truth from the Bible. The only Bible that existed while Jesus walked the Earth was the Torah and the Tanakh. The New Testament had not yet been recorded! Jesus did indeed teach from the Torah as is evident by his reiterating The Ten commandments throughout the book of Matthew! I truly respect this channel and Rabbi Singer. I believe you all are trying to serve God. I say this with love, you know Yeshua lived you know he taught. The question is was he the messiah? @@saul2491 I have read the scriptures of the Tanakh granted an English translation I'm studying Hebrew so that I can read the original for myself. But from what I have read it seem that the Jewish people have an expectation that the messiah will bring them to dominate the world and lord over it. There seems to be an expectation of a mighty kingdom that has no equal on earth. Which is not what the scripture says, not if you understand Gods love for ALL his children. He has set the Children of Israel on a path to be the light of the world. Not the materialistic view that is currently held of the messiah. What did Yeshua not do that is not of some form of materialism that the Children expected? Perhaps it is the expectation that is wrong not Yeshua.

It's been twenty years since I last practised Christianity. Today Rabbi Tovia said something that might have seemed ordinary but was intensely so profound and helped me answer the unspoken query which I am sure many Christians question, especially when you've left the faith. A heavy weight has been lifted from my heart and soul.( I did not know it was even/still there!) I truly believed that was the Gd of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob's will at the time to lead people to Jesus! This quest started at 15 to about 35yesrs of age. Today I am 62 and Bezrat Hashem, will one day be converted to Judaism. My husband and I love the torah, practise Judaism as best we can and one day hope to be in Yerushalem. So be encouraged you are not alone dear ex Mormon sister . The G_d of all Israel, your Father is just a prayer away.Hold on to the truth you have found and pursue it with wisdom and love.

You just tell them, that after studying what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai, you can no longer, in good conscience, celebrate something you no longer believe in, and that God never said to us. In no way can you expect this transition to go smoothly (I speak from experience!), and you most likely will lose friends and relatives. But if you TRULY wish to do what's right in the Eyes of God, you MUST just press ahead and 'brush off' (as it were) what people say to you, and continue to learn from the Rabbis.
When I left Christianity 20+ years ago, l didn't believe what the Rabbis were saying at first, because of my heavy indoctrination by 40+ YEARS of Evangelical Christianity, but the more I listened to what the Rabbis had to say about Mt. Sinai, the MORE sense the Hebrew Bible made, and the LESS sense the Christian Bible made! You have to TRULY want to know what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. I've stopped this twice, because of this noise that feels like a jihadist tapping a spear into my head, onto my skull.....about halfway through.
I'm not trying to be mean, I have a SERIOUSLY bad problem with noises.
I started it over, but once my brain has been alerted to seriously traumatic noises being present, even the beginning is bothering me. I'm hearing something that sounds like a misfunctioning baby bottle warmer, and I was even sensitive to a noise that Rabbi Singer just, without thinking, made..... while explaining (before 'the innocents cannot die for the wicked.....', just so you know I'm really trying to listen).
The thing is, even when I try VERY hard not to be offended by all those things that can offend people, in movies, etc, the noises can often just be TOO MUCH. If I watch news, it's usually short, except for Yair Pinto & Palki Sharma, which has to do with a subject you want to watch.
I listen to Rabbi Singer all the time, but he's especially calming when I find a good long one, to listen when driving across town to pick up my husband, & back. We both get less stressed on the way home. It helps me to ignore small criticisms, plus I learn a lot.
So, I'm asking for the sake of my soul, my driving, my husband's heart, my state of mind......can you especially get rid of the noises after the middle? I NEED THIS SHOW. That's a HUGE thank you, even though I don't always agree with everything.

But 6 years ago as a new Christian and hearing that we were living in the New Covenant times. I had issues because I looked around and there's a thousand different Christian denominations. No one agrees with each other. They all claim to have the same holy spirit yet they still don't agree. In the pride in all these different denominations to think that they have it right and all the other ones have it wrong!
So yeah I prayed to God about 3 years ago which was like 3 years into my Christian walk.
And I asked God at all costs to lead me into truth even if it hurt me or made me change my beliefs.
I just never thought that he would lead me away from Jesus that was something that took me by surprise and affected so much in my life. To the point I'm sort of in this rebellious stage and upset. I feel like I was taking advantage of as a Christian and my lowest state in life and I wasted 6 years on it.
So now it doesn't feel great because the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament as Christians call it that I had issues with is all that's left? The ruthless God who is all about war and conquering setting up kingdoms. In making his people follow strict laws to the point of killing them if they even try to help in their heart by stopping the ark from falling over or picking up a stick on the Sabbath..😢
I'm at the point where obviously I still believe in God but maybe he didn't write a book. But that leaves me with the issue of death and sickness and all the other issues of the world all the animals that want to kill us.

Yeshua didn't come to establish any denomination. I've questioned this myself and the answer is plain and simple. He came to establish his "ekklesia" ( a calling or a summon to an assembly). That's it, he's the Messiah spoken of throughout the Torah. In Micah 5:2 the Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem Ephrata and in Daniel's vision he's coming in the clouds. Two comings.

The whole book of Leviticus is about the attornment of sins through blood sacrifice, unblemished animals. The spiritual leaders were the Levites the Rabbis were appointed by Rome. You need to do some historical research and find out who the Rabbis really are and what they truly think about non Jews.

According to levitical law, an innocent little lamb had to be sacrificed to cover the sins of the Hebrew people. The blood of this innocent lamb was supposed to redeem the Hebrew from their sin.
When God got sick to death of the glut of animal sacrifices which did not seem to persuade the Hebrew people to stop sinning, he provided a single sacrifice in one pure human being whom God made sure was born without inheritance from Adam, and who lived his entire life sinless, and who died sinless. Therefore that person was able to replace all of the animal sacrifices in order to buy mankind back from sin and death. He was not just buying back Jews from sin and death, but all of the Nations as well if they put their faith in the Savior whom God sent for them!
This is no different than the sons of Israel having to put their faith in Moses as the deliverer whom God had sent. If any Hebrew had not followed Moses out of egypt, that Hebrew would have remained in bondage in egypt, and quite possibly even killed due to pharaohs wrath against Moses. Those Hebrews who put their faith in Moses and followed him out of Egypt were saved from bondage to pharaoh.

And the 613 commandments are spread throughout the Torah. First one is to be fruitful and multiple and applies to Jews and non Jews. During the weekly Torah reading each week that completes the whole Torah yearly I can happily ppint oit which of the 613 mitzvot are included, however it is a bit much to include all in a youtube comment.

@@saul2491 I have read the scriptures of the Tanakh granted an English translation I'm studying Hebrew so that I can read the original for myself. But from what I have read it seem that the Jewish people have an expectation that the messiah will bring them to dominate the world and lord over it. There seems to be an expectation of a mighty kingdom that has no equal on earth. Which is not what the scripture says, not if you understand Gods love for ALL his children. He has set the Children of Israel on a path to be the light of the world. Not the materialistic view that is currently held of the messiah. What did Yeshua not do that is not of some form of materialism that the Children expected? Perhaps it is the expectation that is wrong not Yeshua.

He couldn't defeat this Spirit, so he needed to devise a plan to kill his Spirit and then he expected this person could get his Soul back with a new Spirit and a gender change.
