I didn't realize how much lore is in StarCraft. It really puts Star Trek Online to shame.
Dude Blizzard is all about lore. How much is consistent is the question.
I remember reading the original battlechest books and then being really confused when they completely changed the protoss lore.
The beginning made me think of ISN for a second. Dammit now I'm going to spend the next month re-watching Babylon Five again.
It's actually surprising how well that show captured just how much of a propaganda arm major news networks heh. What did this man know and when did he know it? Then again he probable knew just how BS CNN was from the start and wouldn't of doubt he had already seen the infamous leaked tape that showed CNN creating fake scud missile attacks to spin the narrative on the OG Gulf War.

The viking as a massively armored ground unit? It's never felt like that in game. In the sky it can fake it by way of killing anything that's trying to attack it, but once it shifts to the gatling guns it loses that advantage and you realize the armor is made of several layers of high-grade cardboard.
The viking is the strongest fighter in the starcraft 2 game it beats out the pheonix and the mutalisk one on one in the air on the ground however.... yeah.
It's because nearly everything in sc2 does bonus damage to armored units, and the viking only has about 150 hp
The Dominion Viking is basically a big walking armor piercing machine gun. You can play with it as Mengsk on Co-Op. However seeing that one is Dominion tech, you only get Raynors paper-bag variant in the WoL campaign

There's a really cool Mod out for StarCraft Remastered called the UEDAI Project, I can't adequately explain it but I highly suggest checking out that mod. It's an amazing piece of work.

Blizzard is really good in creating background lore. :) Reminds me. I still have to catch up with legacy of the void and maybe a replay of the other SC II campaigns would be worth.

NEVER! We watch for Terran lore for we are Terran.
Funny to hear that valkyrie is a slow ship while in the game it is just as fast as a wraith. And can do horrible things to flocks of wraiths.
They used to be even faster in earlier dev builds when they had an "afterburners" ability. Valkyries could quickly get into a Zerg base, kill all the Overlords, and get the hell out of there.

Viking has the worst aspects of the Variable Fighters of Macross and the Zeta series Gundams.
@R Mcdud yeah post retcon LAM units designs suck. They should have gotten Studio Nue (the original team behind Macross) or the Studio Statelite crew to redesign them.
I like the Viking as an air to air unit and decent ground unit to sneak past anti-air defenses.
@R Mcdud why its not like the LAMs are Arrow 4 compatible like the Urbanmech.
