The scene where Chloe tells Trixie about her movie is really beautifully done and worth a rewatch. Scarlett Estevez as Trixie is so funny and clever, not bland or tedious like most child actors. Lauren German has a truly encyclopedic command of facial expressions, and she adopts a different one for pretty much every line she delivers here and every reaction to what Trixie says, each spot on. Here you see her in comic and maternal contexts, but her mastery of facial expressions and vocal nuance extends to her authoritative cop side, her continuing exasperation with Lucifer (moderated by a bit of fondness), and (as the show progresses) her more vulnerable emotional and romantic sides.
I have rewatched this series multiple times, and it never occurred to me (or, if Lucifer explicitly says this I don’t remember) that of course he wouldn’t be familiar with kids, since they don’t end up in hell. Good point.
It's hard to imagine, but the writing keeps getting better and better. Tom Ellis was THE PERFECT actor to play Lucifer, as were all the others in their roles . . .

I am so grateful to you for reacting to this show. Season 1 is great but it gets better. The actors and writers are just finding their footing and you will get to see some amazing character development from not just Lucifer, but from everyone in the show. My favourite character has not yet been introduced, but I'm quite certain that Sofie will like her as much as I do - in many ways they have a very similar vibe.
Quite often child actors are thoroughly annoying, but Trixie is an entertaining character, and her friendships with Lucifer (and later, Maze) are great.

I just found out people criticised her acting in the first season but i personally think for someone who is supposed to play a cop she did pretty good
It was enormous fun watching Lucifer's very slow evolution, over the course of the 6 seasons and the way the series evolved with him

so hilarious Lucifer treats Trixie like a dog and that he refers to her as "small human"
