Thanks for this review Zeth! Surprisingly rather than Hades/normal mode stickers hell, the hyper knuckle buster and shield were deal breakers for me. Those could have used way more part separation, especially the white insignia on the shield. The lack of open/ right trigger hand was also disappointing for a "premium" newly designed kit. Now i am really considering whether to get future PR variants or not, apart from the Red RIder.

The Ground type Gundam, revive gundam, gm striker, revive gouf, gouf custom and many more gems are great HGUC kits. They almost shine as bright as the moon Gundam. Nah they shine just as bright. Some people just don't look for them.
No people do it's just certain ones like the gm striker really didn't age well. The moon Gundam on the other hand is like a phenomenal fusion of high grade and real grade in terms of build, quality, accessories and details. That said I do wish the gm striker would get a revive kit with the same kind of frame as the rx-78 revive.@@Darth_Anomalous

People are paying a premium for these kits, bandai needs to do better. On the other paleriders, I noticed the instructions look like full release instructions. I wonder if they were to be regular releases and changed to p-bandai at the last minute.
I can understand why the standard pale rider was a sticker hell but considering how the moon gundam was treated you'd think the todisritter would of gotten a similar treatment
Compare to other HG, the pale rider line should not even be a p-bandai, because of it’s disappointing quality and the seer amount of stickers. It should be a normal release, and not many would complain

I compared it with my HG Moon Gundam and the RX-78-2 beyond global (which are cheaper and much better in my view), I felt like I just got ripped of. After that, never touch another one. And yeah, still waiting for the HG or MG Sisquiede. Sometime, I felt like Bandai is learning from EA :(((
Bandai Laughs in Monopoly There is another specific brand that actually included the Weapons kit for the Core Gundam with Armor (There were only 2 cases, Veetwo and Jupiter) or included a Core Gundam in a weapons/ armor only kit (Saturnix, Nepteight, and Mercuone (Has weapons kit too). Also the quality isn’t that bad as opposed tho those from the SEED/ 00 Line of bootlegs

I will say that the todesritter is one.of the best HGUC I had built this year so far. i just wanna mention that it is a HGUC standard, if people are expecting a perfect runner separation, that make no sense to me, coz it normally only happens with a RG standard kit in this cost range

Honest reviews will be hated and punished, because the majority of audiences always like to hear good things and not a person ranting and breaking down what’s wrong. You see, in my 5 years of TH-cam journey, I have a lot of people who are coming to my videos and commenting something like “you don’t know how to build” or “you don’t know how to fix things”. You know, the ignorance is very strong in the gunpla community, there are a lot of people choosing to rant the person who made the video and not Bandai. Let’s be honest, if Bandai didn’t make stupid flaws or bad structure, what can I rant? Lastly, I am not like those TH-camrs who praised Bandai, if they have something that I don’t like, then I will say it. Big TH-camrs are not my idol or example, honest reviews is my goal

Call it outlandish, but I do feel like in some cases Gunpla has turned into one of those things where people flaunt it on Instagram to look "nerdy" might just be my own perception, but ever since the hobby has opened up I keep meeting more people that are mostly in this for attention and kudos lol. Which reminds me, is it difficult for you to find kits in stock where you're at as well? Or are things regularly put back on digital and physical shelves on your end?
@@cooljim1376 I am located at Brisbane, Australia. Gunplas are hard to find as I don’t have much options other than two stores. I will normally ask SugoToys, my middleman and one of my audiences to hunt any gunplas for me.
@@zethythonix Damn, that's rough. I'm from Florida and I am conveniently living near USAgundam's warehouse so getting kits wasn't an issue, but that was before the plague hit lol. You're lucky if you can find even basic HGs. RGs are out of stock everywhere from what I've seen, and MGs are also in trouble. My money's on all of the restock being on a boat somewhere in the Atlantic, which means there is a very real possibility for some kits to not return to stock for years.
To be fair, Infinite Justice is a special case, as it is one of the main cast of a popular series (lelz) and not getting any proper HGCE whilst its sister unit got one early. Pale riders are PS3 exclusive side stories. Then again, if they can 1 up their game in every model kit with Infinite Justice color separation that would be cool. As a side note, no, IJ isn't perfect, even with stickers it is not perfect

It is one of the expensive side after all. I am not shitting HGCE IJ tho, I am just mentioning something about IJ colour isn't perfect so even if todesritter do got IJ part separation, just know that some part will ticks you off. It is after all a HG so it has limit and if that thing want a color accuracy 100%, well we will see some stickers hell too. No, i'm not talking about thrusters don't worry.
Ahh right there with you Zeth, I love the Pale / Destiny units so much but they're gonna need to rework those "Pbandai" kits like the did the original Destiny kits ,-, I've just pre-ordered the Dullhahan 2 to finish off my collection of them but so much disappointment in each :(. DII is without HADES, so the stickers will reduce but some part like vents and shield will be still there, hopefully my prediction is too harsh and Bandai will slap my face to prove they are gentle
This is why more people are shifting more to bootleg brands, where they at least improve or adds more part where bandai didn't Premium bandai is just an excuse for most of their kit to be lazy For example astray line, the bootlegs improved it a lot compared to old astray runner bandai still did today even after knowing it's one of their most sold out kits

Tbh painting a kit should be an add on, not a necessity. There are some small parts that are too hard to make small which I understand but when it's cases like the insignia on the shield of this kit, it's just overdoing it.
The huge number of stickers is definitely a turn-off for me. I'd be willing to give the design a chance despite never playing the game it's from, but when I'm expected to paint huge amounts of white and yellow, my two least favorite colors to paint, that's not very good. At the very least, the Todesritter isn't unique in getting screwed over with the Rick Dias not getting a full Revive and everything about the Tristan.
The only problematic part is the bawoo shield, none of the stickers are mandatory and if you expect them to be part separated you dont know what an HG is
Mate, I am using the modern HG standards to review and judge it, I do know how terrible early HGs were, I am just pointing out with all the modern techs, Bandai can do better
@@zethythonix all the vent stickers are optional chief, its like expecting the hg unicorn mode rx0 to have optional transformation parts. The todesritter is almost completely color accurate besides the shield if you dont considet hades mode.
they could remold the hazel legs to give better articulation (old one is ball joint) for the recent hazel variants. bandai is just being lazy with the shield and rifle

I'm sad to say it, but there's a massive difference between the west and Japan when it comes to the word premium, in Japan it apparently is more taken to mean limited, rather than good. Not saying it doesn't suck that the kits are shit BTW!
I wanted to buy this kit, but after watching this review, I'm skipping it. In my country this kit costs a lot, and considering the world is still in well... Pandemic, money is not easy to come by.
There’s nothing premium about PBandai. If anything they should call it Limited Edition Bandai because my big problem is availability and scalpers. I’m still very pissed about not being able to get a RG sword impulse Gundam. I don’t care how awesome the kit is I’m not paying some scalper a 250% mark up.
I think why is so plenty of stickers because of pale rider & todesritter the normal mode and HADES mode. I think it's too hard to make color separation in plastic mold normal mode and HADES mode in small part in HG.
I understand that, then at least get the parts correct then, look at the rifle and the shield, they have a perfect opportunity to fix that and yet they failed

The cavalry is just as sticker hell as the other, check various FB gunpla group and they should release unboxing picture of the cavalry. I get it, you like pale rider (I do too) but this is the same problem I have been bringing from the start too. Short production time, low cost, and sells like hot cakes is how PB is going right now. You have been one of them that just buy them no matter how shit they are. In the future, if your rant really got heard and Bandai do raise the quality of the PB HG then what is next? Well, regular release will get affected much more. Regular HG has been the better one compared to PB HG, it's one of the few case where Regular is more triumphant compared to Premium. If premium really do got better, regular will be another pile that nobody want to buy at this point, you know what next? We might not even get any regular and all of them will be PB, and we all know how stupidly greedy Bandai is considering they monopoly the entire Gundam Industry. Fun right? It sucks that I am a huge PR fan and they are trashing my bois, I did some Google search and learned about the Cavalry. I know it’s a sticker hell but I probably will get it to complete the collection, I know I am basically slapping my face but Bandai caught my throat for sure. About the releases on regular or premium, as a company with so much money, it’s not hard for them to hire more people for better overall design, because they promised high qualities in all of their ads so technically they are destroying their reputations. You have been a long fan in my channel, you know I only buy what I like instead of chasing the trend. Technically, I am not those big guys who spent recklessly for views and heat. But yeah, you are right, at the moment, if the big guys don’t talk, small guys like me means no squad. I don’t support their culture if it’s just a simple color swap or few part swap, so I am still playing it smart. And yeah, their monopoly tactics are always there, because no one can steal the licenses from them so... we have to suck up some of the designs. This makes me think I have a lot of detail painting ahead for the DII I have on order.

I think they call it premium because its a limited run. I think the model looks cool, need a little work but otherwise very nice.
The only problematic part is the bawoo shield, none of the stickers are mandatory and if you expect them to be part separated you dont know what an HG is
Mate, I am using the modern HG standards to review and judge it, I do know how terrible early HGs were, I am just pointing out with all the modern techs, Bandai can do better
@@zethythonix all the vent stickers are optional chief, its like expecting the hg unicorn mode rx0 to have optional transformation parts. The todesritter is almost completely color accurate besides the shield if you dont considet hades mode.
they could remold the hazel legs to give better articulation (old one is ball joint) for the recent hazel variants. bandai is just being lazy with the shield and rifle

I'm sad to say it, but there's a massive difference between the west and Japan when it comes to the word premium, in Japan it apparently is more taken to mean limited, rather than good. Not saying it doesn't suck that the kits are shit BTW!

It's a really decent looking kit with huge potential but those stickers are insulting. I would be pissed if I had paid P Bandai price for this kit.

There’s nothing premium about PBandai. If anything they should call it Limited Edition Bandai because my big problem is availability and scalpers. I’m still very pissed about not being able to get a RG sword impulse Gundam. I don’t care how awesome the kit is I’m not paying some scalper a 250% mark up.

I think why is so plenty of stickers because of pale rider & todesritter the normal mode and HADES mode. I think it's too hard to make color separation in plastic mold normal mode and HADES mode in small part in HG.
I understand that, then at least get the parts correct then, look at the rifle and the shield, they have a perfect opportunity to fix that and yet they failed
that doesnt give an excuse to not mold the white vent trims separately. the mode change only change the color of the inner part of the vents

there are 6 stickers each for front and back skirts as they come entirely in white

Pbandai sucks. They quality is getting worse and every single variation is now pbandai. It wouldn’t be a problem if kits aren’t immediately sold tf out as soon as pre orders are available.
Another day, another "This PB HG is shit". Pale riders from bandai pale rider project has been absolute sticker hell since the start, why are you getting your hands on the other cavalry too? The cavalry is just as sticker hell as the other, check various FB gunpla group and they should release unboxing picture of the cavalry. I get it, you like pale rider (I do too) but this is the same problem I have been bringing from the start too. Short production time, low cost, and sells like hot cakes is how PB is going right now. You have been one of them that just buy them no matter how shit they are. In the future, if your rant really got heard and Bandai do raise the quality of the PB HG then what is next? Well, regular release will get affected much more. Regular HG has been the better one compared to PB HG, it's one of the few case where Regular is more triumphant compared to Premium. If premium really do got better, regular will be another pile that nobody want to buy at this point, you know what next? We might not even get any regular and all of them will be PB, and we all know how stupidly greedy Bandai is considering they monopoly the entire Gundam Industry. Fun right?
Seriously speaking, at this point and how I argued all this time, there is just no helping it, but buying and just ranting it doesn't help too IMO. Bandai has been bonkers with these PB but as I said, people that buy it are too. Maybe if people seriously stop supporting this stuff Bandai will just make more regular release instead. Then again, if you really love the kits and want to put effort or compromise with the stickers, well good for you, you got what you like, bandai got money which is the case all these times apparently hence all pale rider project is sticker hell. Then again, all I'm saying is full of "if" and "maybe" so doesn't mean shit either.

It sucks that I am a huge PR fan and they are trashing my bois, I did some Google search and learned about the Cavalry. I know it’s a sticker hell but I probably will get it to complete the collection, I know I am basically slapping my face but Bandai caught my throat for sure.
About the releases on regular or premium, as a company with so much money, it’s not hard for them to hire more people for better overall design, because they promised high qualities in all of their ads so technically they are destroying their reputations.
You have been a long fan in my channel, you know I only buy what I like instead of chasing the trend. Technically, I am not those big guys who spent recklessly for views and heat. But yeah, you are right, at the moment, if the big guys don’t talk, small guys like me means no squad.
I don’t support their culture if it’s just a simple color swap or few part swap, so I am still playing it smart. And yeah, their monopoly tactics are always there, because no one can steal the licenses from them so... we have to suck up some of the designs.
Despite those reasons and your reasons, I still believe saying nothing will only make them do more terrible things, so I will still speak up and make people understand and notice more.

Bandai definitely capable of doing better for Gunpla. Yet it has been like this since 2019 and no imrpovement in release has been made, other PB keep getting pumped up with pale rider like stickers. Proving just how much shit Bandai able to take and not moving an inch. Or the other possible actual scenario is people actually happy/accepted with how Bandai do their stuff. It's mind blowing either way.
Bottom line is
I don't really mind for what model kit you buy or anyone as I said before, If someone really love the design they will just buy them on impulse(Personally, I'd rather wait for a good one). We just don't have much to prove after all
i understand if its just color variant of a retail kit that they couldnt be arsed to remold parts. for a line of kits made entirely for pbandit i expected better.
