You make good points here on dog owner ethics. We live in an apartment complex and I go through poop bags like they are water. Some people don't deserve to own a dog. My son's complex takes a DNA sample of the dogs when they move in.

I have a mobility service dog, Dreyfus is an American Bulldog. Most people fear him because he favors a Pitbull. I am so glad you made this video. I'm on it, getting these items. It's very rare that he is left alone, but there are times I have to leave him at home. Our Palamino by Columbus 5th wheel is parked on our property in Avon FL. The money we have invested in him, I would die if anything happened to him. OH and Tootsie Logs!!! I'm right there with you that angers me to no end to see people leaving a loaf. Good Lord, I have serious back issues that prevent me from getting down but I do. He helps me back up. Dreyfus is my life savior!!!!!! P.S. Thank God he's not into the barking thing, only if someone comes to the door.

We have been using MarCELL for years - it's great. On our last trip someone hit the power pole outside the campground and the campground lost power. We were on the way back and .2 miles away so we thought we got this. Nope, power line down in the street no one can get to the campground - even by foot. After a while we pleaded with the sheriff to let one of us in to save our dogs. AGS would not help because the T-stats reset - just like yours. Our hearts would have broke if we lost our two chihuahua being so close and not being able to reach them. One thing that saved us is getting the RV real cold before we leave, no kidding, we get it down to 65 inside before we leave and turn on the smooth jazz and they take a nap. We always used the rule of thumb only travel as far as we can make it back if power or AC fails. That last time taught us a lesson. As for other dog safety stuff, we have a massive K9 first aid kit - even IV for fluid if the get dehydrated! Great Video, keep up the good work.

    3 things,
1.Some people like us have a rescue dog that may not do well when approached by an off leash dog. So the dog off leash may be ok, but our one rescue would not do well.
    2. We have used a device called isocket. plug it in and buy a prepaid sim card and insert it and you will get text on power outage and power restore and also temp alerts. No charge except purchases price and sim card.
    3. Awesome tie out for dogs is by ruffwear. Adjust to any length and compact and strong. Pricey but well worth the money High quality called KNOT-A-HITCH. $59.99. search for it on youtube, you will see reviews on it and how it works.
I would post photos of the two but not sure if I can under comments.
Thank you Chad and Tara for the great videos!

Orange kitty was abandoned. Needed to be rescued. Animal shelters are better than starving to death.
Daisy’s vet can provide medication for anxiety. Not tranquilizers.
My 120 pound dog could fill 2 poop bags but I did it anyway.
I love your love for Daisy.

We have a chocolate lab and a small shitzu that we camp with. Our vet suggested buying Kong toys and filling them with peanut butter or yogurt and freezing them. When we go off give them the frozen Kong keeps them busy for awhile then they get tired and sleep. It works.

This is fantastic! One thing to defend dog 🐕 owners, I was walking my dog and started talking to another RVer ,my dog quietly pooped, neither the person or I noticed it. I went back to our RV and my wife had just been looking out the window and saw our dog 💩 and told me. So I went back and got it. Usually I pick up other poop now that I know how easy it is to miss.

We found a cool thing at Petsmart, a fake birdhouse that generates a sonic noise that stops dogs from barking. Our dog is not a barker so it is usually keeping the neighbors dogs quiet.

Daisy is so sweet. We had a Morkie that was Yorkie color but had Maltese ears and tail. We didn't get her clipped. She was 6 lbs and had a lot of mannerisms Daidy does. It brought back some memories. Especially with the bath scenes and "Do youcwant a bath and she runs. Ours tried to hide behind couch pillows. LOL. Ours passed 8 years ago byt we stilk remember her fondly. Thanks for the great reminder how fun our furbabies are. Great video and tips.

One of our cats had a medical problem come up when we were staying in Roswell NM. Our sticks and bricks is just outside Toronto ON Canada. We had to have our Cdn vet fax our cats med file to the vet in Roswell before they knew what kind of treatment to give. We've started carrying a copy of our pets med files with us when we travel..

Good video. We have a big dog my favorite 3 commands are “leave it”, “ walk away”, and “walk on”. All important for keeping her a good citizen and because I sometimes use a hands free leash especially when I run with her. When people ask to pet her I say yes but she must sit first and if she jumps please stop paying her attention. Very few people want a 60lb dog jumping on them. I know a lot of people use them but I hate retractable leashes. They are bad because the lock part doesn’t always work. We also have crate trained her to keep her safe when we are not there. We didn’t once and we are now getting new shades. 😀

If you have an iPhone, you can also put that information in the “medical id” section of your phone where anyone can access it even if your phone is locked. I put info in there about my dog and even my mother who has Alzheimer’s. If something happened to me while she was out with me, I would want someone (a police officer) to watch out and know what to do for them if I was incapacitated.

Great ideas. I have a Huskshipoo. Husky, Shih Tzu, Poodle. My Zoey is a 25 lb version of Daisy. We’ll be hitting the road soon when our rig gets here. I spent a lot of time training her, because my last two dogs were runners. She never leaves my side and she’s never on a leash. You must have been terrified when she wasn’t inside. I’m glad you found her.

Just saw this...catching up on video watching. Thanks for sharing some great advice. Our little poo got out through the bathroom door while we were away. Turns out a family with three little girls found him and left their number at the camp office. When my husband inquired at the office they gave him the families' number. Those little girls had renamed him Smores and were sad to give him up. We were very fortunate that day.

I know you guys have been to Miami Everglades. We spend our winters here and my number one gripe is barking dogs! You are right that people will sit there with the dog barking and just ignore it. It makes me crazy. I like dogs but not barking or pooping in my site or jumping on me. Most folks are considerate but as you know not all are! Always enjoy your vids sorry I didn't see you til you were leaving. Happy trails!

Thanks guys for an awesome & needed video!! It just amazes me how some people do not pick up their dog 💩. We have two little fur babies, a ShitZhu & Yorkie. We have ALWAYS picked up after ours, even when we walk them in our neighborhood. You’d be amazed at the people that don’t even pick up in their own neighborhood. Safe travels🤗

Don’t forget to have the collar loose enough for her to get out of it if she gets it stuck on something. Also if you have floor vents take her collar off if you leave her alone. My little one also loves my towel after I shower, I thought she was the only one! Love the video!!

My worst concern came at a KOA dog run. While playing with my dogs inside the fenced area they could run free in, a mother just opened the gate and let her little kids run in to play with my dogs without asking me or me being aware they were coming in behind me. While my dogs are friendly and love kids...as you posted, you just never know how they might respond to some stranger running at them.

Agree with it all. Please always pick-up after your pet! When we leave our dog in the RV when we go to explore, we turn on the A/C fan from auto to on as well as run the TV or radio to drawn-out noises from outside. Thanks for all the info it was great.

I love all your videos, but I have watched this one a number of times just to see your sweet Daisy. We had a bichon frise for 15 years. We would take him to festivals and events where there were shoulder to shoulder people. We got a pouch where he could stay so the leach wouldn't get tangled or he wouldn't get stepped on. Also it kept his feet from burning on hot concrete.

I almost never comment in videos . . but I have been RVing for 34 years without a problem . . until last year.
I have a Chiweenie & a Jacqueline Russell (lol) . both small & well behaved . taking them for their after dinner stroll, minding our business & they were doing their business (lol) . . when out of nowhere came a large unleashed dog from about 75 feet away bounding, barking and growling with teeth blazing :(
It took three people including the owner to subdue him . . I have never been so frightened for my dogs and myself. Now I bring a walking cane with me just in case . . you will never regret it :) !!
Even if you have larger dogs . . there can be a confrontation :( It only happened to me once . . but be prepared . . thank you for an excellent video!!

I have a Service Dog (I'm a full time wheelchair user) and part of the training was evaluating me to make sure I could take care of the dog's needs...to include picking up after them. They stressed the importance of keeping a clean, well groomed dog, and to always pick up after them so that businesses welcomes us in. I don't keep a collar on my dogs when they aren't with me after hearing about dogs playing and getting their mouths caught on the other dogs collar and one (or both) dogs end up dead. If they have to have a collar on when no one is around they have breakaway collars. One of the dog trainers that helped me was also an animal behaviorist and her knowledge was incredibly helpful. An animal behaviorist figures out the cause of the unwanted behavior and treats the cause rather than the symptom. Most dog trainers try to treat the symptom which can make the problem worse. I suggest you find and work with an animal behaviorist on your pups separation issues.
Yes, please keep your dogs on a leash. My dog and I have been attacked several times by unleashed dogs. Thankfully my Service Dog is one of four dogs we have (95lbs Lab (my service dog), 18lbs long haired Chihuahua mix, 18lbs short haired Chihuahua and a 7lbs Yorkie) and doesn't have any aggressive tendencies. So, when the other dogs were attacking my Service Dog, she though they were wanting to play. But, when you figure a professionally trained Service Dog can cost anywhere between $20k to $40K dollars or more, and then have it no longer able to work due to someone not wanting to put their dog on a leash. It's bad.
All of my dogs are AKC registered (or through the AKC Pal or AKC Canine Partners programs) and all are also registered with the AKC Reunite program. It's a one time fee program and they send you yearly reminders to go in and update your dogs information, such as new picture etc. The Dog chipping program is only as great as the accuracy of the information in the database. I also purchased a dog microchip scanner (they don't cost that much) so I can periodically scan my dog to make sure the chip hasn't moved and to scan other lost dogs we find without having to find a vet that's open.

Thus was a great video directed on owning a pet whine rving very great tips on people cleaning there digs mess. People need to learn to do that but that don’t do it. Daisy us so cute. My older sister who lives in Tennessee she a Maltese and hers is sane size as Daisy. They just got the Toto just before Christmas and she was tiny and she still is. So cute just little fur ball. Tara I don’t blame you at all for having stomach in a knot when Daisy got out because my would be too. But I am so glad you got Daisy back. Those are systems you have to keep an eye on Daisy if something goes wrong. We have a dog and it would break my heart if something happened to our little dog he’s a Chihuahua mix with terrier. I would be sick if someone took him. Or he ran off. That’s our baby. But this was a great video. See both soon! Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’m a veteran ( air force) and currently work for Southwest Airlines for the last 28 years. Hopefully will retire in the next 2 years and have been RVing our 31 years together. Anyway long story short, just bought my 2021 Dodge dully 3500 longhorn, and next will purchase a new 5th wheel to start our full time RV life with our 4 pound yorkie Bella. Tara my wife has medical issues also and thank you for all your knowledge, it has helped us in preparation for our next journey. For Chad, lm an A&P mechanic and a licensed electrician so if I can help let me know, but you have a tremendous amount of knowledge geared toward RV’s and it’s so appreciated

Awesome content!! My husband and I have been RVing for three years. We have Blink cameras in our motor home that have temputure sensors in them that let us know if it gets too hot or cold inside the RV. (We have a MiFi in our motor home). We also have doggie car seats in our car but I purchased separate bungee leashes that I attach to the head rest (the metal bars) of the car seat and then the other end of the leash is attached to a harness that my dogs wear when the car is in motion. Only reason I do this rather then use the tether strap that comes with the seat is because the strap is attached to the fabric of the car seat and in the event of a bad crash...that tether strap will most likely tear where the likelihood of the seat coming out is not really likely. But sadly there are just people out there that allow their dogs to run free and for whatever reason refuse to clean up after their dogs. Many times I have cleaned up dog poop 💩 while taking our dogs for a walk....only because I don't want to step in it.

Paying attention to where your dog is when on leash is very important too ....... We were at Sunshine Key back in Dec with our old dog Bandit. She has mobility problems but if we walk slow she's OK. We were coming back along the marina walkway talking when we heard a splash! She had stumbled off the walkway about 3 feet down into the marina, at night! Fortunately, I had her on a retractable leash so it didn't hang her when she fell but the water is low enough I couldn't reach her. I led her over to a lower dock where I could (barely) reach her enough to grab her and pull her out! Quite scary for her and us both!! The next day we saw a 4' nurse shark near where she fell in! We are MUCH more careful with her now!! Keep up the fun entertaining videos! Hope to meet you guys one day!

Loved this video. I know we had shared that we had purchased the same carseat for our cat amelia and she loves it when we travel. She is a little different from Daisy. We can't get her outside even though we know that she would love it. She for now is an inside look out the wind kitty. My favorite memory since we started this in September is when we were in Lake Tawakoni in Texas and the winds really picked up and swirled all around us and brought leaves off the trees and it was like a tornado of leaves. She was like omg and running from window to window to window. It was pretty awesome with all the colors. Note: We could never really capture it on film when it happened of course. Well thanks again for this vide.

Now that we (finally!) own our RV (2021 Riverstone 42FSKG toy-hauler fifth wheel), we're even more interested in all of this. We've been following the channel for a good while, and love the content. We're building a list of things we need to do or get before we go full-time. The big one is selling the house, but there are a lot of smaller ones, like a safety harness for our little dog while traveling, and one or more monitoring systems for when we're away from the RV and she's in it. Thanks for the video; it really helps.

Good tips. I had purchased a Canary for the house but would make a good device for the various alerts you have. Camera, temperature, air quality, 1080p live/recorded video, two-way communication (talk to your pet), and stays modes for motion alerts.

We have two little pups with us and I installed ecobee thermostats with remote sensors like the one in my house. It lets us know if the temperature in the living area goes past our thresholds. The other great thing is we use one app for house and camper AC's. Great job guys love your vids.

Great information, thanks for sharing your experience! Great information on how you keep an eye on things. My 7 year old MinPin Bug treats the camera like it will steal her soul. I am glad you plan to change thermostats, I was wondering how the Grand Design installed thermostats reacted to power outages. My experience is the dometic single and multi zones kept their setting. I look forward to hearing about the thermostats for that reason. Those console dog beds are great, both our minpins love to claim dibs and ride watching the road.

Videos like this need to come with a “So cute you need to be careful of who you allow to see it!” We had to say goodbye to our two labs and decided no more dogs for a few years while we travel. After this video we’re thinking about adopting a dog again! Dog-gone it! (Pun intended)

I have a little 3 lbs of terror of a Pom. She's smaller than Daisy. She's as laid back as possible, rarely barks and just lounges or wants to sit in someone's lap. But one word sends her into a tizzy - Nana. I've never known a dog to "Yahoo", but she "Yahoo's" for ten minutes if Grandma (Nana) arrives.

You could go to one of the analog thermostat controls for your heat/AC unit. Still has a digital display but has the manual switches on the bottom. If you have it flipped to AC or heat and the power goes off it will go to what ever you have it set to when power comes back on. This was a really nice video, we have three toy poodles, yes I said three and found this really useful, especially putting a plaque on the door with your phone number, what a home run idea. Thanks for making this.

Excellent vid. You guys are like us. We do not want to impact others. In fact we preach the 11th and 12th commandment. "Know your limitations and Inconvenience no one." We too leave the TV or radio on. It's not just campgrounds people think their dogs will react to others the same way they do at home. People don't even react to different people the same way why should dogs. When we first started RVing back in the 70's most campgrounds would not let pets in. Even Disney world. But so many of us had pets we treated like family. So things changed. The other issue people do not understand our pets will get health disease just by smelling other dogs poo. SO pet owners be respectful. Thanks again for the excellent video.

We have been using Govee for a while on our RV and our Trawler and they work great. As far as cameras go, we have Ring Security on both the RV and boat but we use alot of Wyze cameras which are very cheap and great. They are not Ring compatible but they are so inexpensive, that it is well worth buying a bunch to monitor pretty much the entire inside and out of the RV and the boat

I have the iN-Command with global connect and hoped to use it for remote monitoring while our dog is in the RV alone; however, I’ve found it prone to losing the internet connection and not reliably reconnecting, even when it’s parked at home. So, when it’s working, it’s handy for things like adjusting the thermostat remotely or turning on the awning light, so thanks for the tips on the other temperature monitoring services. It would still be nice not to have to drive all the way back from an outing to investigate or fix a temperature problem, though.

We use simplisafe and it let's us know if power is lost and if we loose wifi. It keeps track of temperatures and water leaks. You can set ur temperature ranges for both hot and cold.. Also got the camera to keep an eye on the dogs.

We found this information to be helpful and yes, we are using some of them. We love our ring system and we have 3 inside cameras that we use to monitor our dog... We also have the at&t MarCell system and it is the best... Keep up the great work guys. We just can't get over how wonderful your videos are.. How do you come up with new topics every week.

Great video! This one should be a required watch for ALL RV pet owners. We are currently next to one of those nonstop barky dogs and we too are absolutely shocked and grossed out by how often we find poo right NEXT to the bags/rubbish. I just don't get that one either.
Random question for yall.....can you share where your location was in Phil and Stacy's 100K video? I'm assuming FL, but it was gorgeous out the back patio.
