Spring pressing on sear to provide trigger pressure is upside down according to several sources. Spring on the sear enhances flexibility and the metal piece limits travel if the grub screw is backed out all the way.
I have an LGV and I think the previous owner messed with it, when the safety is engaged the trigger gets a heavy feeling, but pulling the trigger causes the safety to disengage and the rifle to fire. I have tried backing the screws out and adjusting them to various points, it does not alleviate the problem (although I did find the sear stops engaging at a certain point). If you, or anyone else, have any insights to offer that would be great, it's my first rifle and I would really like the safety to function!
+Robert Maybeth the unit internals are dry and grease free because I had just cleaned them out. I re assembled them with a little light moly grease on all the pivot and touching surfaces.
How about lg55 trigger?I cleaned the piston,new grease,a little polish ,etc.Now the trigger doesn,t work 😭 i can cock it and decock but i can't shoot.Something i am doing wrong 🧐
I'm gonna have to have a mess about with mine. I've never liked the trigger on my LGU, or my dad's LGU. Maybe I'm weird, but I like the plain old Gamo type triggers straight out of the box. When I'm in practice I am just as good with my Gamo CFX as I am with my LGU. I feel I don't need fancy two stage or incredibly light triggers. I like the trigger on the Beeman P17 pistol aswell.
i dissagree.. i feel its better then the rekord unit.. the lgv/lgu trigger is touted as being match grade.. the rekord trigger is not match grade altho you can tune it to be match grade.. also alot of ppl dont know how the setup the walther trigger properly.. and rowan engineering do a lovely drop in trigger! i feel the the walthers are better out the box then the weihrauchs!
walther trigger is better than rekord trigger because it is more versatile, you can adjust individual travel on stage 1 or stage 2 and you can do it without removing the stock like if you do it on rekord, the safety lock is 2 ways not like the one on rekord, easy for the maintenance since it is easy to be assembled/disassembled compared to the rekord. Thats enough to say i guess...
I agree, I had walthe lgv and sold mine because of crappy trigger. Made of plastic and you have to pay extra to get made from metal. even Hatsan trigger is better.
Thanks for this. I've just picked up a nice used LGV and have been fettling it. This video came in very handy.

Excellent video, well done!
Hi have just noticed you have metal piece on the sear it is upside down im araid
It should be Spring on sear metal retainer then the Grubscrew
Does that small spring adjust the pull weight?

Should the trigger be dry and clean as shown, or should it be greased and oiled? If so where should the grease go?

+shootingatdawn thanks
Hi, the pressure trigger spring regulator is inverted, isn't it?
Trigger from video belongs to LGU.
LGV is slightly different and has only one adjustable screw in the trigger blade, which makes it hard to adjust

is there any walther terrus tear down in english?

Trigger with two screws is the add on tuning trigger and not the single adjuster sent out on many guns.
great video.the lgu trigger not as good as the weihrauch rekord unit
