    Tony was a massive part of their sound when I saw them in ‘93 & ‘94. I went originally with the attitude “…impress me.” because Creation had signed them. (Creation released Loveless n Bandwagonesque FFS!). ….and Oasis were incredible. I felt it was like seeing the Who in ‘66 & ‘67. Tony’s playing on both nights was part of it. A massive part of it.

    Tony McCarrol wasn't a useless drummer at all. I've watched plenty of early Oasis gigs with Tony on drums and he was driving force behind the original Oasis sound that got them noticed. Noel took a disliking to him, treated him like shit and constantly dug him out and basically bullied him.
    Guigsy was too quiet to get involved, Bonehead realised Noels songs were the key to success, Liam was Noels brother so Tony had no support from within to defend him against Noels constant digging at him.
    Noel was no better a lead guitarist than Tony was a drummer but Noel brought the songs and the rest of them decided they needed Noel more than Tony so allowed Noel to force Tony out.
    I've got a load of songs written and I'd love Tony to drum on them.

    • @sionlewis827
      @sionlewis827 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First album was perfect for him, the type of drumming needed. No way could he have done the next album or the subsequent albums after that. He only had two ways of playing, no range and didn’t progress. Bringing in a session drummer to record “Bring it on down” says it all. But, he can’t have many complaint’s really, he was on one of the greatest debut albums of all time and probably still earns a few quid from it.

      Guigsy was far from quiet behind the scenes. You really ought to do research on the era, bud. Guigsy was horrible to Tony. Probably more so than anyone in the band. Tony's personality clashed with the rest of the band, it happens. Not everyone gets along. Tony was also insensitive towards Liam & Noel's childhoods, & refused coaching that the band organised to try & help him.

      I’m a huge Noel fan & would consider myself team Noel but there’s no doubt he’s ruthless with anybody that gets in his way of his MASTERPLAN!!! I mean Tony Gone Guigsy left then came back in 95 then it’s Whitey joins then its Guigsy & Bonehead left then gets Gem & Andy then Whitey leaves they bring in another bassist to replace Guigsy while he’s on a nervous breakdown that bassist is on the wonderwall video & leaves after a tour then Guigsy is back before all leave again. Then Zak Starkey comes he leaves to go back touring with the who they bring in Chris Sharrock then Noel leaves AGAIN for good this time. Beady eye starts with all the oasis members then that goes pair shape then everyone else Chris & Gem join Noel’s HFB there’s a common theme that seems to be very similar. Let’s mention the Real People situation also when Noel promised them writing credits and banned them from all their gigs & didn’t put them on the credits for Columbia & Don’t Go Away & Rocking chair. After promising them they’d get the credit for the work they deserved & he didn’t do anything he promised & banned the rest of the band from talking to them finally he stops all contact with his brothers Liam & Paul He’s no longer friends with any of these guys anymore which tells you a lot about Noel’s character. Tony was great for Oasis but when Noel isn’t happy with you then quite frankly you’re gone. Noel decides & what Noel wanted he got with the record company defending there cash cow & letting Noel do whatever he wanted. ✌️🕊️✌️

      Or Liam appeared to be aggressive and confrontational because he wouldn't accept any of Noels controlling, bullying bullshit.
      Noel is cold, heartless, ruthless, arrogant and the fact that Tony, Bonehead and Liam are still mates, Paul Gallagher is close to Liam and doesn't speak to Noel either and the whole of Oasis stayed with Liam to create Beady Eye tells me that Liam is not the problem, Noel is the problem but Liams reaction to Noel being the problem makes him look like the problem but Liam hasn't fallen out with anyone other than Noel, Noel has fallen out with everyone including both his Brothers with complete disregard to how his aging Mother feels about it.
      Liam is desperate to make amends with Noel before their Mother passes away and Noel is so selfish, cold and ruthless that he is willing to risk his own Mother passing away without seeing her Sons reunite than to admit any wrongdoing and make amends with his Brothers.
      He's an unbelievably talented song writer but an absolute heartless, immoral scumbag as a human being.

    In 1999 McCarroll hired a solicitor Jens Hills - who had won Pete Best £2 million from The Beatles in 1995 - to sue Oasis for £18 million. Arguing McCarroll was owed his part of the band's five-album deal with Creation, the case hoped to set a legal precedent, as McCarroll would have claimed compensation for two LPs on which he had not played. Eventually, he accepted an out-of-court settlement of £550,000 in March 1999 and agreed to give up future royalties, which effectively severed all links to the band, with McCarroll's legal fees reported at £250,000. The settlement provoked considerable reaction (one headline questioned "Is this the most stupid man in showbiz?") and the reporter claimed "what Tony failed to realise was that he effectively held a lottery ticket which would mean he'd carry on winning every year

      Noel, Liam and Bonehead are Irish. Noel doesn't consider consider himself English. Last year he supported Scotland to beat England at Euros. He has said multiple times he doesn't support English soccer team. He has said since 1994 he is Irish. Bonehead recently was asked on twitter what's your Irish background? He responded I am Irish. Both his parents are Irish and so are Tony Mccarrolls parents and both liams and Noels. McGuigans family are also Irish. As Noel said in 1994 when he first appeared on Irish radio he said Oasis are the greatest band to come out of Ireland since the Smiths. The Smiths Johnny Marr also considers himself Irish so do Rourke Joyce all their parents are Irish. So does Morrisey whose both parents are Irish also. John lydon Elvis Costello all have Irish passports and also consider themselves Irish. So do Kate Bush and Dusty Springfield ( Real name Mary O Brien). Steve Coogan said yesterday in a paper he is Irish, both his parents come the same place in Ireland as Noel and liam mother come from. Peter Kay Frankie Boyle Spike Milligan also parents come from this part of Ireland and they also consider themselves Irish. The Beatles arrived in Dublin Airport in 1963. Reporter asked who is the Irish beatle? Reference to Harrisions big Irish family waiting for him at the airport. Lennon turned around and said We are All Irish. Irish immigrants changed the face of British music and entertainment.
