Niiice! I guess I missed these when I was there
I know, John: there’s only so much you can fit in, isn’t there! Hope you’re all keeping well and you’re enjoying grandparent duties!😊👍🏻👍🏻
@@GetStrumming it’s the best!!! We are doing a double christening this Sunday, for my two grandsons that were born in June. Then my granddaughter that was born in September will be done the second week of December.
You said it’s affluent but down the road is high rise flats & tower blocks..yes there are multi million pound houses but it’s not like Chelsea or Mayfair
I remember there used to be a pub just round the corner from Noel’s old house…I lived near in the late 90’s and it looks exactly the same as back then…I was 18/19 then and London was fascinating to me and full of wonder…I’d get a 1-4 tube pass for about £3 and be out all day
Now in my mid 40’s I wouldn’t go London if you paid me..great footage ✌🏾
We were just chatting about that while we were walking round, the fact that you may be in a really salubrious area and round the corner it can be a whole different vibe altogether. It’s like that where I live in Yorkshire and one street may be millionaires mile and around the corner people are struggling. I’ll have to ask my mate, but I think he may have met Pete Docherty in the pub you mentioned, about 2007 I think. We used to be in a band in the early 2000’s and pop down to London quite regularly to play the Purple Turtle, Dublin Castle then go and watch a guy called Danny play his guitar at the Marathon Bar at Chalk Farm. It’s actually quite astounding to think how much the world has changed in the last 20 years.
I bet you had a good time living down there in the 90’s, but there’s no way I could live down in London. I’m far too used to peace and quiet!
@@GetStrumming absolutely..I live in West Wales now half hour from beautiful beaches & the sea but they were great times..completely living in the moment and a real sense of freedom & excitement..totally fearless
It’s all a bit of beautiful blur..I remember Brian May & Anita Dobson walking past me on Kensington High St once & having a beer with Dominik Diamond somewhere…I used to love London on a beautiful summers day..jukebox on in the pub,pub hopping and just having fun
M8 it’s still a mega affluent part of London my friend. None of those houses sell for less than 3 million each. ✌️👍✌️
Work in Hampstead - its a lovely area, hence celebs living there !
It's curious that you walk from Liam's Hampstead home to Noel's "Primrose Hill" home and imply they both lived in those houses at the same time. Noel's house, 'Supernova Heights', he had sold and moved on from many years before Liam moved into the Hampstead house you show. Liam moved out of there 5 or 6 years ago but his ex-missus Nicole Appleton still lives there. I've also often found it strange that Noel was described as being part of the 'Primrose Hill set' when he lived at 'Supernova Heights' - the property is actually in Belsize Park. The address of the house is 9 Steele's Road and if you look on a map you'll see that the residential district referred to as Primrose Hill is everything south of Adelaide Road, the street where Noel lived is definitely Belsize Park.
No he didn't,he said where noel lived in the 90s..you tool.
Liam was living with Patsy Kensit in St. Johns Wood at the time Noel was living at Supernova Heights in the 1996-99 years. The famous U.S. tour in September 1996 (which Liam pulled out of and missed the first few U.S. dates) had journalist walking up a ten step porch to try to talk to him through the doorbell intercom plus footage of him walking down steps after closing his front door to be surrounded by the press on the way to the newsagent at that time. Don't know the actual address but was a big 4 storey townhouse with steps and courtyard in St. Johns Wood. Both moved the following year (2000) when both their marriages broke down and both got divorced.
Address for at johns wood gaff is 132 loudoun road St. John’s Wood
@@lucasrowe1100 The house where Liam and Patsy were living when the 1996 tour was cancelled, and the press followed Liam to the shop from the house - we've all seen the clip - was in Hall Road in St Johns Wood. The shop Liam walked to is on nearby Nugent Terrace, and Liam gave two fingers to the paparazzi as he was being served at the counter. After moving from there, this occurred when Noel moved to 'Supernova Heights', Liam and Patsy moved into the house at 8 St John's Wood Terrace that Noel and Meg had just vacated. After a while living there Liam and Patsy THEN moved to 132 Loudon Road. So they lived in three St John's Wood houses in the late-90's. After that they bought a house in Elsworthy Road in Primrose Hill.
When Liam (with beard) walks down steps is 32 Elsworthy Road.
Also at 8 St. John’s wood terrace, the place he got from Noel
Before Noel moved into supernova heights. Used to see Liam a lot in the flying Yorkshireman on the corner opposite the house.
That’s not the name, the pub on the other side of the road from the house is called the Duke Of York.
Nice one. Cheers
Haha I've walked past that house a hundred times and always just assumed some old ww2 RAF veteran lived there one day.
No just some has been manc that had a bit of fame in the 90s for being a knobhead
I lived around there in 1997, just rented a very small room in Belsize Park, but there was definitely a buzz about the area back then.
I would walk up the street and see the likes of a scruffy looking Chris Evans popping out to get his milk, or see some Britpop celebs hanging out around Orimrose Hill etc
Makes you realise how boring celebs are nowadays.
Iv lived in and around camden all my life, its definitely lost its charm over the years, i feel like any winehouse was the last one, after her its just become a place for tourists and wannabes, sadly they missed the boat many years ago, people try to recreate it in the good mixer ect, but it isnt the same, it was nice going from pub to pub seeing random celebs in their heyday. 90s to early 2000s was a great time to be around camden, belsize park, primrose hill ect.
Liam did live in Primrose Hill, on Elsworthy Road
He did.
Brilliant! Thank you for this info😊👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve got the full address on a vehicle logbook he used to own
Haha, not appearing on Band Aid basically because they were still at school. 🤡
There have been several re-hashes of Band Aid over the years:
Band Aid 1: (1984)
Band Aid II (1989)
Band Aid 20 (2004)
Band Aid 30 (2014)
LG wasn’t at that house when NG was at Supernova Heights. He was still near though on Elsworthy rd with Patsy. Nicole and Gene Appleton are still at that house.
That’s not the Quadrophenia logo, it’s the logo that was used by mods in the 60s, the logo is actually the Royal Air Force round all that they allow the movement to use, but funnily enough stepped in on a legal case with the Lambretta clothing company that’s now owned by somebody else other than Lambretta. Company tried to stop a small company in London from using the roundal and Royal Air Force stepped in and said they could and if you carry on for much longer, we won’t let you use it anymore
"Roundel"
Thats not liams house mate, liam lived on Ellsworthy Rd when noel lived in supernova heights
Cheers for the info mate! I think I may be doing a follow-up video to this in a couple of months to address this ‘Cock-up’ on my part!🤣👍🏻👍🏻
@GetStrumming that's alright mate, 32 Ellsworthy he used to live at
That was Liams house until quite recently. Used to be painted in Man City sky blue.
They call each other everyday crying and sobbing in forgiveness but never tell us
Sorry to be pedantic, but the Hampstead house is not where Liam famously lived with Patsy in the 90s - that was St John's Wood. Liam only moved to the Hampstead one with Nicole Appleton in the naughts.
No, I’m glad you brought this fact up and I apologise for the error there! 😬 To be honest, this video was a little afterthought after we’ve been filming a big Beatles locations video around London.
Thanks for taking the time out to watch the video, much appreciated 😊👍🏻👍🏻
It was a fun video, and you're right they definitely lived closed by.. I think LG never moved out of North London to this day@@GetStrumming
It’s going back a bit but I lived on that street in Primrose Hill in the 80s in a bedsit back in those days.
Supernova Heights isn’t Primrose Hill, it’s Belsize Park.
Right!…🤦🏻♂️ 🤣I’ve got to come clean with you. This whole video was a daft idea we had tagged on after a busy weekend of doing ‘well-researched’ Beatle location videos in London. My good friend and music/work partner who is involved in this channel said, ‘why don’t we do a video just tracing the journey between Liam to Noel’s. They lived round the corner from each other in the 90’s. Now, I love Oasis’s music, I Really love The Beatles music, but Oasis is my late teens and 20’s. A great time to be a musician. I’m not that well up on the folklore, so I’m taking all this as Gospel from my mate. Apparently it turns out, from what many of the comments are saying here, the ‘facts’ that my mate was feeding me to impart to you folks at home has resulted in me talking a load of utter ***te!
And to be honest I’m going to level with everyone: unlike all the other great videos I’ve had the pleasure of putting together over the years, trying to teach or inform, this is the most slapdash and impromptu video we’ve ever posted, full of inaccuracies, misinformation and all the rest of it and the bugger has had 25k views!🤷🏻♂️ I just feel like doing a really well scripted, well researched and well rehearsed video now, but that’ll only get 5 views. 😅
@@GetStrumming ha, love your honesty ! It wasn’t too bad !
Thank you i enjoyed that little tour and history even tho i am not a fan of Oasis.
I remember Noel also had a house called The Sheilngs In Chalfont St Giles I think it was. I remember working on the road outside many years ago, there was Press and news vans outside it. I thought how bad must it be get a bit of privacy as a celeb, until i asked a Press reporter why they were there and they told me they have exposed a massive high class brothel in the house right next door to poor ole Noel lol. It was in all the papers within the next day. Probably can still find the news articles somewhere.
When the Migrants start moving near soon see the boats stopping 😂😂
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing 😀
churlish ! I had to look this one up !
- rude in a mean-spirited and surly way. "it seems churlish to complain"
That’s the one! Another example would be, say if a big band refuse to play their greatest hit when the whole crowd a chanting for it. (By the way, Oasis aren’t guilty of this-always crowd pleasers!)😂
Right few quid them houses .. I bet that house seen some serious Charlie
Do more funny videos
I remember going up that street when George Micheal passed. I’m sure Ray Winston,Christopher Eccleson stay about there as well
Ray Winstone lives in Italy.
@@bungle3912 He didnt 8 years ago
I thought Liam lived in Highgate village, or at least he did a few years ago (went to the house for work purposes)
Looked like a bit of a walk.
The new owners probably got rid of sign over the door .. to stop idiots standing outside pointing !!! Didn’t work did it 😂
Nice breton cap sir
Bought, along with the jacket, from Sherry’s in London. Anything mod/60’s they’ve got it! (Quick plug!)😊👍🏻
Yes your jacket looks great. The shop stocks some very nice items thanks.
That recording studio must be a church
What's Liam and noels addresses now
1.35 ‘Noel and Liam would never sell out to do a charity single’
They did in 1995, the War Child ‘help’ album.
I’m not even an oasis fan and I remember that (your video was in my algorithm).
Take it easy man
You’re absolutely right too! In fact, didn’t they do the two songs for the War Child album? I know they did the acoustic version of Fade Away which was a beauty, then Noel joined in with Macca and Paul Weller for Come Together. I do apologise, I was being a little facetious when I made that comment about Noel and Liam not doing charity singles as I know they’ve both done loads for Teenage Cancer Trust.
To be honest, this video was a little afterthought at the end of a whole weekend me and my mate had been doing in London for a Beatle-related video. Astoundingly, it’s become one of the most viewed videos on the channel! I’ll probably do another Oasis-related video in the future (maybe a little more researched and scripted next time!🤣👍🏻)
One of my favourite parts of London Hampstead. I had a friend who used to live on that road back in mid nineties. Primrose Hill up the road ,great area but very expensive.
What a total RICHARD!
I couldn’t agree more!🤣👍🏻
Liam doesn’t live there he lives in a cottage
You’re absolutely right mate! I completely ballsed it, fair n square! However, I’m just in the middle of doing another video rectifying said mistakes! So stay tuned for more erroneous information and generally badly researched bollox from yours truly! 😅👍🏻
@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse 🤣🤣 Not, yet mate! I’m afraid I’ve been tied up with work in Yorkshire, funnily enough though me and me mate are arranging to pop down and do a few more London location vids, especially with the lads reforming. Watch this space…
An oasis cover album in the style of George Formby is the album we didn’t know we needed. With such hits as
Eyyy oop in the Sky
Barm with it
The lass in the dirty shirt
All around t’ M62
Probably all in the Mine
She’s got no Electric
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻
funny … guy posts video and everyone thinks they know better.. 😂
😂😂😂 I think in this case they actually might!🤣🤣🤣👏👏 I’m definitely doing a follow-up video to this!😂👍🏻👍🏻
Well not quite. People/fans know bits more and he’s glad & appreciative to be corrected
Don't sing please mate.
Pointless.
He says right we’re gonna from one house to another so we can see how close they are, then speeds the video up on fast forward which in my opinion totally defies what he said, they could be 20miles apart. If they’re so close to each other, within walking distance and only a few minutes then it’d make more sense to me to show it in real time.
But I don’t give a fuck where and how far they live anyway.
I live in Manchester about 10mins from Levenshulme where their Mum still lives, shall I make a video showing that, wait a sec I’ll just press fast forward and I’m sure you’ll all believe it.
Supernova Heights? bhhahahaaha total cringe.
