I believe that Peerless to be from 97 because of the last two numbers in the serial. That tankless coil is pretty crusty! At least someone used studs instead of bolts.
Hi Steve Love your videos, Why is that gauge called a tri dicator when it only seems to measure two readings , should it then be called a bi dicator , only asking to see if I’m missing something on your jobs , Regards from Thailand , ( 39celcius today)
@kencrystal Hi there and thanks for the info, appreciate it , it always made me wonder why and what was the third element being measured , I only have to think about air con now as I live in Thailand and the heat is mega here Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭
A question for your future videos; Why doesn't the pressure regulator set at 80# hold at that setting when turning on the water facets (drops to 70# and holds there)... Why doesn't it catch up and go to 80# with the facies still open? The pressure coming into the residence is 140#
tridicator is a dual purpose instrument that reads both temperature and pressure levels on the same dial face using an independent pointer and scale. This instrument, also known as a “Boiler Gauge,” is used primarily on heating systems and boilers.
My Lowes soldering how-to booklet recommends holding the torch on the copper joint until a green flame is seen. Anything to that, you pros? Steve works a lot quicker with his torch...never see a green flame.
Green flame means the copper is burning and that's too hot. Concentrate on how well the solder is flowing, that is how you should be regulating your heat
Happy Easter one and all
The amount of knowledge steve has is unbelievable

What else is a relief valve going to leak other than water?
Steve got more parts on the truck then the supply house😂
That boiler was manufactured during month of August 1997.

@@mrpipeshere THANKS!
Steven, this boiler is high maintenance.
You need a window screen on the truck so miss Molly doesn’t fall out
Does anyone else use 7/8 x 3/4M compression adpt on relief valves - So easy for a change out. No need for a B tank ?
Why wouldn’t you flush all the stuff out before you replace tridicator and all others
The scariest thing at home depot is shark bite caps
Bummer call backs
they don't make them like they used to the new boilers are crap peerless is a good brand.
Yeah you don’t want a poison that close to your water supply
