  • You have probably never heard of a small cadre of operators who are employed by the Department of Energy in the National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Secure Transportation. The agents transport nuclear weapons from military deployment platforms to arsenals and are very highly trained in firearms and tactics. This short video is on how to join this agency and their work.

Hello, I saw your video and spent 10 years working for D.O.E. Special Response Team. I had the pleasure of working along side these guys on a lot of occasions during my career. Just thought I would comment and if anyone has any questions thats not a national security matter that I may answer I am open to discussion. thanks

I don't think this is a wise move. Unless it's to expose people who are interested. To include the enemy.

I think a video about how to get into the special operation groups within federal agencies would be helpful and the reality of them and the types of operations they do. Like skills required for BORTAC, BORSTAR,USMS SOG,HRT etc and your experiences with working with them in the dea

For BORTAC and BORSTSR you just put in a memorandum once a training cycle begins. I believe you have to have two years in the patrol to be able to attend the training.

As a retired Air Force Security Forces Flight Chief I can tell you the AF along with these boys and US Marshals do convoys on replacement SNN. Many and most are former military or law enforcement officers. They have full ISR support. Even in training we were taught that no hostages are to be considered. The AF has TNRT Tactical Nuclear Recovery Team as well. Most convoys involve taking warheads to be decommissioned by PeMex

Army no longer has Nuclear Artillery. It was to dangerous for the members firing the guns and their was a concern that Nuclear ammo could fall into enemy hands if positions were over run.

    FYI:
Albuquerque is where Sandia National Laboratory is located which is kind of the DOE's nuclear HQ. That is why the basic training is there.
Oak Ridge is where Y-12 NSC is located, which is why Chattanooga is a major transport hub.
Since you don't know what to do next, can you do the ATF? I hear they are planning to hire in June 2021 and I am giving serious thought to it.

Well, Im not sure if they are the most secretive.
Im sure their protocol, response, tactics, logistics... basically operations are secretive.
But, if you can find the Agency online, they are probably not that secretive.
There are a few agencies that I know of, that have Title 18 and other Title status(s), that I would prefer not to mention, whose agencies do not appear anywhere..
Although I would not want to do battle with any DOE Escort guys, (Those guys actually have special custom vehicle seats to match their physique and position of weapons), still, there are other agencies that I would be more afraid of.
    Just my thought.

I live in Albuquerque near the AF base and see them a lot. I’m on the road as a truck drive from Albuquerque to Las Vegas NV I see the convoys out here a lot. These guys are heavily armed and run in a convoy at least. I’d be more concerned about the amount of trailer loads of explosives and extremely dangerous chemicals that go through your city every day over the OST guys. The WIPP program worries me more.

If you were fingerprinted by a law enforcement agency or the military they will see the fingerprint return and have the option of contacting those agencies. Many agencies fingerprint after the interview, and while I havent looked at the SF86 recently, they probably ask about prior BI, especially by a federal agency.

Not your standard I remember something about when I was truck driving going through Fallon Nevada and Hawthorne Nevada seeing signs of this sort. I was looking at the map that was presented there and I see that it's northern Nevada going across through Reno possibly i-80 I would imagine. At any rate Reno's so close to hell you can see Sparks. That's the joke part the other joke part is I'm pretty sure that you had to stop the southern route because somebody parked at Henderson at one point and some bad stuff happened that's the next joke part anyway very interesting stuff can't believe you're putting us out on the TH-cam
