@@matthewmcculloch9320 He's only played one season so you can't really say that. Although yeah he will probably be the most consistent in future lets be real. ALso Saka plays in a team where goals are shared out 15 a peice whilst palmer is at a team where only two players are the focal points. Him and Jackson.
Aubamayang scored 30 for us and we finished 8th. Arsenal were in a similar situation to chelsea before Saka. We are now challenging for the title with Saka leading.
They probably are, Palmer benefits from the fact he can free-roam in a disjointed team of pure vibes and is central to all Chelsea do. The other two have fixed position and have to break stubborn 10-man defences every week. Foden and Saka would hit far higher numbers than they do
@@sfb4144 but foden has been in a disjointed team like England and every time plays he looks crap and palmer shone in the limited minutes he had in the euros so u could argue fodens numbers really come from how great the system and the players around him are. And for saka he’s also been in a disjointed arsenal team before they started competing for titles and never put up similar numbers to what palmer has been doing. You also say 10 man stubborn defences like Chelsea weren’t playing against the same opposition. Teams sat back against Chelsea and that’s when most the time they dropped points against deep blocks. You can just see with your eye how much better palmer is, he’s a better finisher and a better passer than both of them and his footballing instincts are ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, saka and foden are both class footballers but they wouldn’t replicate what palmer does for Chelsea.
@@J3LLYM4N you're not really getting to the point of why a 'disjointed' team is important though. A team that is purely performing poorly isn't a reason for a player to do well, it's the fact that the players may have a lot more positional freedom and more central (both positionally and importance-wise) role in the attacking phases; England is disjointed yes, but that doesn't mean Foden isn't pushed out wide on the left hugging the touchline and not drifting into attacking midfield positions (when he did for the first 30-45mins of every game he was good in the euros) and Saka was in a disjointed arsenal, but still had his role of playing all over the pitch, defending deep, tracking back, and even playing as a left back. Since last seaosn when arsenal dropped being a 'vibes' disjointed team with fixed positions, it's been much harder for saka to be a direct, explosive attacking winger. Also chelsea have played against some low blocks to some degree, not to the extent or frequency that man city and arsenal have to. Lastly, I'm not being argumentative and trying not to be biased, but no, I really can't see that Palmer is better on the ball than Foden, I just see him trying more ambitious efforts, skills, passes because he doesn't have a fixed and regimented position like foden, who if he tried the ball palmer did for Jackson (gorgeous pass btw) pep would be screaming at him. There's barely any players in the prem with the ball-control, tight-dribbling and shooting range of foden.

That's the advantage Palmer has. The whole Chelsea team revolves around him and he gets all the freedom. If he comes to city and is assigned the role that Foden does every game, he would be bang average
Saka also played in a unstable arsenal team where there's was no structure and played for England exactly the sameway (and got his first hat trick with England) with a clueless manager (Southgate) Saka is the type of player can play anywhere and will still put up the same numbers (if he was real he would put up more g/a) I can't say the same for foden and even Palmer (since he couldn't do it as citeh). To say Saka is just a system player is a blatant lie, foden is more of system player since he literally couldn't turn up for England and need specific players around him. Palmer for me is too early to judge as he has 1 good season last season and just starting to turn good at 22 yo when Saka been good since he started playing for arsenal at 17/18 yo. And most importantly why are we using a Right Winger as a yardstick to two 10s (palmer and foden)? 😂😂 Stupid comparison, if you don't like Saka or don't rate him just simply say it and move on...

Just imagine this, Palmer has played for less than 15 months at the highest level, Foden and Saka have been at it for at least 5 years ..... Appreciate greatness when you see it.
Imagine saying Saka is better than Palmer due to his “effectiveness and consistency” immediately after Palmer scored 4 goals in one half and is leading the Prem in G/A since the start of last season 😂
It is not necessarily true that its easier to perform on an individual level when playing for a bad team. For example Graelish ripped it up at Villa but has yet to stand out at City, a bunch of similar examples and especially at man city it is very hard to really stand out like foden did last season. But yeah still think the england argument is valid. I rate all three massively and have a hard time choosing. But I think Palmer has to be last right now, while still agreeing that he might have the best potential of all three.
You guys should do a premier league BIG GAMES XI, so a team of players who turn up on the big stage. So these may not be the best players in their position, but you know they'll bring that team to victory on those nights!
Palmer has surpassed both, he doesn’t deserve to be in the convo with these two anymore 2nd season being a starter, 2nd season after moving to Chelsea and he’s got not only the most g/a since start of last season (above Haaland btw) he also passes the eye test with flying colours AND has delivered in big games for both Chelsea & England. Palmer is generational
Talking about Palmer in a poor Chelsea but omitting Saka’s growth as an 18 year old in a terrible Arsenal team. He moved from LB to RW and has been so consistent every year that it’s insane to not put him at first. Foden has been blessed to have an amazing City team around him to help him achieve those titles, he wouldn’t do the same at Arsenal or Chelsea. Also the fact you all mention Saka is a guaranteed starter for England shows that he’s the best of the three, you guys didn’t even bother to debate that fact. The trophies will come for Saka in due time
Aesthetics has people in a chokehold too much, effectiveness is what matters on the football pitch, romanticism shouldnt be a factor, saka never gets the respect he should because of superficial reasons like that
@milocunningham9473 If winning trophies wasn't an issue, Kane would stay at Tottenham and break the leagues goalscoring record. He went Bayern for one reason.
Cole palmer is by mile best player in the world right now. Some saka ive never seen do anything special. Foden has little starboi flashes but man palmer just destroys teams by himself
Any logical fan can’t include Saka in the same debate as Foden/Palmer. Saka is an out and out RW. Foden & Palmer are true #10s. It’s debating apples to oranges. All 3 are wonderful players to watch, and Palmer has been such a breath of fresh air the last 12 months. England will have to make a tough decision between who starts between Palmer & Foden in the 10 role. IMO, you can’t drop Saka as RW for England.
People need to look past just goals and assists to understand how good Saka actually is. Foden and Palmer will always get their praise because of their style of play and the goals that they score, but Saka makes the team around him better. His spatial awareness, chance creation, and 1v1 ability are up there with the best in the world, which enables him to unlock his teammates. Palmer is a great player don't get me wrong, but his skills lie in making that final pass / applying the finish touch for a goal. Saka is a far more complete player if you look at all phases of play.

As a non city or Chelsea fan Palmer is way better. Just ask yourself if foden could carry Chelsea as much as palmer did. Same with England. Palmer is so good that people start watching Chelsea games just because of him . I am one of those as a Newcastle fan
It's funny because we didn't see palmer shine in a city shirt 🤷. Foden is still be best amongst them, he just hasn't played much this season and then the criticisms start coming 🤦. It's Foden, Palmer then Saka.
Calling Saka a system player is unfair, and also suggesting that cole palmer is the only person performing in a crumbling team/ carrying them makes you realise how short sighted this conversation is. Saka did the same thing for 3 years in a row even before arsenal became good, carrying arsenal and also playing apart of different systems (Unai Emery's failing football, Artetas initial 5 at the back system and then the couple of different variations of football Arsenal played till they reached their current system football style. Regardless of which system or state Arsenal was in, Saka was always the one shining and standing out in the team.
Surprised no comment mentions how Saka and Foden face a low block every game due to their teams' dominance while Palmer, the mercurial talent that he is, faces much more open space. If you've ever played any level of football, you know this. Individual talent cannot be measured without or rather should not be measured without making constant everything else.
Cole Palmer is best best out of them the reason is simple, Cole Palmer went to Chelsea when Chelsea was down and rise it up. Has more goal contribution than Saka and Foden even Halaand. Palmer just played premier league, FA cup and carabio cup but Saka and Foden played in these competition and even UEFA champions league but they failed to tally his goal contribution. Going to euro Saka and Foden were given enough time to show themselves but failed only Saka managed to score and assist. But palmer did only less than 50 minutes whole euro competition managed to score and assist. To make it worse Saka and Foden play in better teams and surrounded by best players than palmer at Chelsea. It's clear Cole Cold 🥶 Palmer is the best
I’m sorry but if you’re not picking palmer you are delusional, taking saka over palmer for united made me laugh especially. He would win games single handedly for united, saka is never doing that. Palmer clears look at his team and his one season last year absolutely destroyed anything foden and saka has done individually. And you saw for England the level of the players Palmer might be what people say foden is
Saka and Palmer are clear of Foden. Honestly Foden is only rated because he was the first english starboy (in this era before saka, palmer, jude, etc), and also the fact he’s in a winning city team. Take the 4 of them out of their teams and put them in the england side and foden is always underwhelming. Saka is better than palmer on the wing and palmer is better then Saka in midfield. Also if we are talking current form then its Palmer, but credit to Saka assisting every single game
Saka is great. He has been very consistent. But he has consistently been at a lower level that Palmer is. Palmer is the best player in the league. Period. Anyone with eyes can see that. And he has been consistently better than Saka and everyone else since the beggining of last season.
It’s quite simple really. Saka is consistently 7 out of 10 most weeks so he can never be number 1. He doesn’t have world class abilities. Palmer is the most creative and effective on the pitch GA wise. Foden has the highest ceiling and best abilities out of the 3 so for me it comes down to effectiveness of what Palmer does vs “potential” in foden which we still haven’t seen yet because of the system he plays in, therefore at this current moment Palmer is number 1.
England would have achieved more if he played Palmer CENTRALLY with Saka on the right, his constant playing of foden both on the left in early games and as a 10 in latter games ended up costing them
@@JHa4848 no mate. Foden wins POTY playing as a 10. So how he doesn’t play there for England is a joke. Football isn’t all about stats. You wouldn’t see Pep or Klopp or Ancelotti playing better players out of position to suit a player not as good as them in their rightful place. Stones should’ve partnered Rice in the midfield with Gordon, Foden, Palmer, and Kane ahead of them. Eze and Watkins could also be good shouts over Gordon and Kane. But the front four I said should’ve started all day long. Chilwell, Guehi, Konsa and Walker at the back. Who are the CBs for Spain? Buvey, they are Laporte who you loved to bits at Man City and was utterly brilliant and is now for Spain! Then you had Nacho starting because Le Normand was out and Nacho has multiple UCL winner's medals and was superb against England. That argument is harsh
The question was about their ability and production as individual footballers. Buvey’s only argument for Foden was referring to city’s league titles and treble. Rory (in a very rare moment) made a great point, and compared Foden and Palmer under a below par manager in Southgate. Foden has been nothing but anonymous in an England shirt. He was dreadful at the most recent euros, when coming off the back of winning the epl player of the season. Palmer gets 15 minutes off the bench and changes the game in the final for England. Palmer is clear. If you put saka or foden in that Chelsea team last year, they are getting nowhere near the numbers palmer did.

@princekweyama3693 he was an unused sub in the final, didn't play in the semi either... winning a trophy with a team and winning a team a trophy are two different things. Both Foden and Palmer have MOTM finals performances to lift a trophy.
what has palmer won with chelsea🤔
@@LionKingMCFC Goal posts have moved 😂😂 so predictable
@mrclean2747 his career didn't start at Chelsea. He has a league title, Champions League, Fa Cup, and a super cup to his name. Arsenal fans are always trying to narrow things down to what fits their narrative.
Man talking about consistency for someone who score 23 goals in his first season, scoring 4 goal in first half, that legendary statue and his name should never mention with Saka and Foden anymore
Kane has been doing it for years but he not better than Haaland of one season that elite
What more does palmer have to do to be named no1
When played properly in their best position, all are world class.
Palmer > Foden > Saka
Clown
Palmer clears look at his team and his one season last year absolutely destroyed anything foden and saka has done individually. And you saw for England the level of the players Palmer might be what people say foden is
Palmer is clear
Fr no Saka season will ever compare to Palmer’s last season
It’s quite simple really. Saka is consistently 7 out of 10 most weeks so he can never be number 1. He doesn’t have world class abilities. Palmer is the most creative and effective on the pitch GA wise. Foden has the highest ceiling and best abilities out of the 3 so for me it comes down to effectiveness of what Palmer does vs “potential” in foden which we still haven’t seen yet because of the system he plays in, therefore at this current moment Palmer is number 1.
Foden
Palmer
Saka
In that order
England would’ve achieved more had Southgate played Foden centrally and Palmer on the right instead of Saka.
Facts
England would have achieved more if he played Palmer CENTRALLY with Saka on the right, his constant playing of foden both on the left in early games and as a 10 in latter games ended up costing them
💀😂
@@JHa4848 no mate. Foden wins POTY playing as a 10. So how he doesn’t play there for England is a joke.
Football isn’t all about stats.
The three behind Kane should’ve been Palmer on the right, Foden in the middle and Gordon on the left.
Playing the best players we have in their actual positions is how it should be done.
Instead we had 4 players playing out of position, was boring and predictable, and ultimately won nothing.
Just so Gareth could have Trippier, Mainoo, Bellingham and Saka instead, for what reason? I have no idea.
@@AddhyanY another dopey Arsenal fan
This should not be a debate
Palmer is better than the other two
Stop saying its saka because he is your favorite
Its your opinion and it does not carry weight at all
I cant believe you are even saying this.
At that time the first two seasons
Palmer is the best
England was useless in euros without palmer
Palmer is better than both of them put together imo
then chelsea should have no problem aiming for st with their 2 billion sent
If palmer isn't scoring he is assisting bro is every where on the pitch ,he is world class and he clears saka, belingham, foden, endrick, musiala and yamal
Palmer scored 4 goals against 3× world cup winners Brighton and all of a sudden he's the greatest to ever live😂
He also scored and won MOTM to lift a European trophy for City.
Why isn’t anyone just doing it then if it’s not great bare in mind Brighton we’re unbeaten
Anything to bring a guy down
Nah, so let me get this straight. Foden carried City to a consecutive 4th premier league title, Saka consistently is arsenals best player challenging for a premier league title, but Palmer after a good season and good game against Brighton wanna chat to these man after carry a shit Chelsea team to conference league. Mind you he is very good but best player in the league shouts!? The game is gone.
Let me just say Palmer is class and I know if Chelsea is done being a clown show his performance can mean something, and when that happens I think he'll be at Fodens level obviously lacking the honors, but ball don't lie Palmer is up next.
Palmer and foden has won their teams trophies. Saka has not.
@@LionKingMCFC what has foden "won "his team?
@@GamerGardenhe literally scored the goals on the final day last season to win them the league? Plus having an absolutely unreal season doing it
People getting too gassed he’s a great player but fuck me how long did it take Saka to get respect around the league , Palmer has one good season(saka also had a good season in the CL and For England), started well this season (Saka has also started well) he all of a sudden better than Saka
Yeah right
Who are the CBs for Spain? Buvey, they are Laporte who you loved to bits at Man City and was utterly brilliant and is now for Spain! Then you had Nacho starting because Le Normand was out and Nacho has multiple UCL winner's medals and was superb against England. That argument is harsh
Anything to justify Foden
The question was about their ability and production as individual footballers. Buvey’s only argument for Foden was referring to city’s league titles and treble.
Rory (in a very rare moment) made a great point, and compared Foden and Palmer under a below par manager in Southgate. Foden has been nothing but anonymous in an England shirt. He was dreadful at the most recent euros, when coming off the back of winning the epl player of the season. Palmer gets 15 minutes off the bench and changes the game in the final for England. But he couldn’t stop England’s defence choking in the big moment.
I think it’s currently: 1. Saka. 2. Palmer 3. Foden
saka didnt even start getting good stats in the league until 22/23 season so the saka longevity premise is just a fallacy, in actuality, saka has been performing at a high world class level for 2 seasons, 3 if he does good this season. if you think im lying check the league stats for saka. cole palmer hit the ground running first season at chelsea and is already on his way to doing the same again for the 2nd season. so people should rlly stop exageratting this point saka has been doing it for longer . (he's had 2 season where he got high numbers in g/a in the league)
