Lowered my hybrid Maverick 2/23. Used Eibach springs, 2" front/2 1/2" back. Initially had some rubbing the inner wheel well (stock wheels/tires). Tailgate damper was a must for me, under $30 and 15 minutes, replaced the lost tie down with a triangle tie down (use factory screw).
I want to do this because I like the look, but I I'm worried on how it affects the smoothness of the ride. How do you like it? And Do you bottom out with passengers in the back
@@mason5545 Stock 17" wheels/tires. Mine was an early lowering and there was some back and forth of information with Eibach with the shop on why. Ended up the inner wheel well needed a little massage to get clearance. After that no issues. I had a REALLY good shop that I trust. It matters
@@PerformanceOnWheels I’m use to driving either a super duty diesel f350 which averages about 13mpg and costs $225~$250 a week to drive back and forth to work. Or an f150 which costs approx $75~$85 per week to drive. I think I can sacrifice 1~3 mpg for some sick wheels. 😝😂🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just installed my eibach springs on my 24 maverick. I believe you installed your rear eibach springs upside down. The progressive part should be on the top. The writing on the springs should be able to be read.....not upside as stated in the install instructions. Unless it is different from a hybrid to an ecoboost (like i have). Thanks
I just picked these lower springs and it says you need to cut the front "BUMPER STOP" and it comes with a pair to replace the back. Did you see that in the instructions? Is this something that has to be done? Thanks.
What’s the ride quality like with the Eibach springs? I haven’t had a mini truck since the early 90’s so that being said I was much younger and would tolerate a lot of bumps and bouncing way more then I will today. Haha back in the day I had an 87 toyota on deep dish 15x10’s with some low profile tires on 5 stars poking way out the sides! Haha I’m not bringing that look back 😂😂
Wondering if first iff tires rub. Next if the mpg is better, and last can you still load up the bed and the truck ride will and not bottom out. Just got my maverick today and based off how yours looks. I want to do this
They don’t rub at all! Mpg has gone down 2, I’m guessing because of them being slightly wider is the reason why. You can load up the bed and it will work exactly the same
@Mr316jon316 the ride is a little bit more harsh but not bad at all. No I haven’t gotten it close to bottoming out. It is still higher up than most cars
I'm no rocket science, but the best way to lower.A truck or a vehicle is with small wheels. At least 1819's.Don't go bigger than 20s.You don't want to go dubbed dub size. That's not lowering lowering the car.Smaller wheels faster lighter weight rims don't go bigger than twenties

You said initially you had rubbing with the stock wheels. Do you have 17's or 18's? And Did eventually that go away? Thanks
Mine has 17s on it now. I’ve never rubbed once on the stock wheels or 20s

I’m picking up my 2024 Maverick Hybrid tomorrow. I got the XLT and I am totally copying haha thanks guys great video! Looks so much better.
Of course! Glad you liked it!

I would like to know if your mileage improves...please update after you have an idea of mpg difference...
Will do!
Has it improved?@@PerformanceOnWheels

Great video bought a hybrid mav also! whats the model number on that eibach suspension?

We did not cut the bump stops. No issues.

It’s not terrible, little bit stiff but it’s very easy to drive on a day to day basis. Not bad at all
@@PerformanceOnWheels I picked up my XLT yesterday and I love this little pickup!
Hard not to love them! They are great!
I love the look of this truck so I just ordered one like it today! What size tires are you running with this lowered set up? Thanks
235/30/20
Thank you
Can you tell me the width of your 20” wheels?@@PerformanceOnWheels
@@PerformanceOnWheels You sure about that size? 235/50/20?
Do you have a parts number for this heiback drop kit?
Did your alignment need re-aligned?
Looks great! Where did you get the springs at?
Glad you like it! I ordered them from elite race fab!
Was this mainly done to improve performance or more to make it look cooler?
Look, does not do a whole lot performance wise.

Interesting! It doesn’t bottom out or ride any more harsh?

Dies this decrease the payload capacity? Also i assume youd need an alignment after?
No it does not, I did not get an alignment. I’ve already put 2k miles on. Steering wheel is straight and I see no uneven wear on tires
did you do anything with the bump stops ?
I did not, did not see where they would go and was nothing in instructions about them.
Have not had any issues with it at all 5000 miles later
