I can't believe we are still talking about te Maverick as if it's the worst thing on the planet. It was never intended for extreme offroad use. It was intended for light duty use and to get people into a vehicle that didn't cost ancarm and leg. I love my Maverick and intend to use for what it was intended for.
The tremor works pretty damn good off road
Right! It’s an affordable nice looking mini truck and gets great MPG as a hybrid. I fuckin love my maverick and it’s my daily drivee
And the gas mileage 😮💨
@Jsalcedo23 I just got my first vehicle this Monday and it was a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT with the Dark Royal Blue and it black out, no icky chrome lol. I love it so far.
I bought one for my pool service… loving it so far
Just got a new Maverick! Thanks for the mods!
Absolutely!!! Enjoy it!
For smoke tinting of your tail lights try VHT Nite Shades spray. It will start out light with the first coat, but darken with each additional coat until you are satisfied. It you want to remove the tint, simply wet a rag with paint thinner and wipe it off. Best stuff for lens tinting in my opinion.
Thanks!
Our first ever tip❤️ thank you so much!!!
Great video. a couple things I added to mine were Hood struts so I don't have to use the prop rod, LED bulbs in the center brake light and reverse bulbs really make a world of difference. I added a hood deflector and side windows vent visors also. Next add is LED strip lights in the bed. I can send you some pics in Instagram or FB if your interested? I have a 2023 EB XLT/Lux BAP 4K tow
Good idea on the hood struts one! I thought about it.. but in reality I just don’t open the hood enough on a vehicle with a warranty for it to matter in my case.
lasfit is sending us those bulbs to feature in our next video featuring interior Amazon mods! I’m excited for them!
Please do send me a photo of your bed lights on instagram! I’d love to feature it in our next video as well!
Instagram: performance on wheels
I did same and added raptor lights and led side badges
You need some "modifications" to your editing skills = For each product think about showing a before shot, and when you're done with installation, an after shot (3 seconds each). @ 3:20 - you never show a completed mud flap, @ 12:00 you never show the tailgate assist working!, @16:15 same problem with the hood stripe, we never see it completed and it begs for a before/after comparison.
I agree. It was an interesting video but diminished due to reasons noted above.
@Slingchain thanks for the feedback! We are learning everyday.
if you have trouble with the orange tape on the outside of the double face tape on accessories . just use a small piece of masking tape, stick it on and pull, no fingernails needed
Ty for this video! Super informative.
Please show what it looks like after all the customizations.
Absolutely! We have other videos on our channel with the finished build!
So far, the only mod on my 22 maverick is an anodized orange aluminum knob cover for the shifter.
Added the Revolver roll-up tonneau cover. Much more expensive but comes with a 10 year warranty and requires a crowbar to break into it.
Definitely a good idea if your in an area your worried about stealing!
@@PerformanceOnWheelshe lives on Earth, so yep
@PerformanceOnWheels also i love the vids. I just got my first vehicle this Monday and it was a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT with the Dark Royal Blue and it black out, no icky chrome lol. I love it so far. So im happy this popped up on my feed.
Literally watching this after I just installed a Tri-fold tonneau cover for my Maverick 😂
How do you like it!?!
@@PerformanceOnWheels I think it's great! The cover gives the Maverick a great look and it's functional. Best of both worlds!
I have a tri-fold on mine and love it. I haul a lot of electronics so it has been great.
Where's the video of all the outside of the truck how it looks after ?
Check out my channel! There’s quite a few videos on this Maverick and all the things that have been done!
Not all plastic is 3D printed…
Greetings for Oregon. Great ideas. I plan on trying some of these out. Thx mate.
Absolutely! Enjoy!
Liked it all but why didn't you do a walk around video after you were done? Really wanted to see how it turned out
Love the Crome and Ford emblem.
Las fit has tail light bulbs but the taillight recall causes them to hyper flash, I had to put the OEM lights back in because they were also intermittent and I was on a road trip
none of these seem like must do's for me
The tinting of the taillights takes a little bit of practice and patience. I have wrapped things on vehicles and it is a process that is fairly easy once you have done it and few times. I like the way your truck looks.Keep up with the mods 👊🏼💎
Can you put the link up for the magnetic phone holder? Please and thank you.

@@PerformanceOnWheels thank you so very much!!!
Of course! I’m glad you asked! I did not realize I forgot to put that one in the description :)
Whenever you show things on screen 3:00 you should probably show everything and slow down 😂 but thanks for the video
Have you guys tried installing reverse sensors?
A couple years ago I bought a vinyl ford logo for my fiesta you can customize the colors and it was super cheap!!
That’s pretty cool!
You should do a follow up on the tonneau cover to see how it handled the winter.
Will do😉
I have a soft roll up cover on mine in North Dakota worked fine. Keeps the snow out and most of the rain but didn’t buy it for theft protection or to be water proof.
Few points, the overly bright LED turn signals can get a bit annoying to other people driving. So if you get dirty looks at night then that could be the reason. Another thing is don't mod your lights with with tint, it just makes them harder to see and otherwise can get you into trouble. Wait until they have tail and headlights on Amazon or wherever you buy, where the chrome inside is blacked/greyed out. You get a cleaner look and not effecting the performance of the lights.
3D printing is nice and all but there are some places and parts that you don't really want to get it in because of cost to manufacture (they can be expensive to buy) and they may have some fatigue that can happen over time because of the printing. Seen enough things already that had to be reprinted because of that problem and made the part overly weak.
If you got a choice of black out or black chrome, go for black chrome because if you resell it later, it can have a better market liking. Black chrome can be gotten on the aftermarket lights as well. You can also get some shops to open the light and spray/coat the inside of the light (the chrome part and not the lens like some shops do for "tinting")
Lowering a pickup???
If you do not plan on spending time off pavement, lowering can improve handling. Don't need to have a small truck lifted to look macho.
Cool vid. Are the LED bulbs more effecient?
If the LED's replaced incandescent, yes.
Just got a 24xl in cactus gray. About to go ham on amazon 😂😂😂😂. Hood struts are def no 1
Have fun!!
so... is 1 out of 10... good? WHY?!?!
Just changing it up thought it would be fun
i hate it
great vid brother! keep up the good work 😀
Will do!!!
What kind of wheels are those and how much are they....I just got my Atlas Blue XL Hybrid and I think the wheels need to be changed out...
The brand is sport tuning I believe there just over $1,000 for the set
What color is the exterior paint called
Cactus grey
@@PerformanceOnWheels ty
Will that bed cover fit over a drop in bed liner?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t
No di
Do you have a link to the magnetic phone holder?

1 out of 10 is normally a bad rating while 10 out of 10 is the best...📶
Just changing it up, built different.
Yeah that was very confusing for me as well. I realized he was saying things backwards when he rated the decal sticker install on the back😅
Tried to buy the lasfit light bulbs and found out they won’t fit in the lariat. FYI
They have different bulbs specifically for the lariat!!! The lariat does not use the same DRL as XL & XLT
On the website you can put in your year make and model and they'll show you which exact lights work.
Didnt you hear about using the degreaser to get the chrome out of the taillights?...works good.
I have never heard of that no, I’ll have to look that up!
@@PerformanceOnWheels
Roger that bud thanks for your video!!
th-cam.com/video/E7i7iOmmUWo/w-d-xo.html
I just saw a video on this method and it looked exactly like the black package. It was so quick and easy. I'm probably a year away from justifying a new truck purchase but that degreaser method is already in my plans lol
Thank you! I will try that!
What’s the degreaser method? Lol
Amazon link to the tailgate letters is broken
They no longer sell them unfortunately, I replaced it to another that is similar but much more expensive.
@@PerformanceOnWheelsDid you use Matte Black or Glass Black letters? Which one do you prefer and why? Getting an Oxford White Maverick Lariat and unsure what will look best.
nice truck, tail light tint is stupid, paint the inside of the housings instead
Good idea! I never did end up tinting them
3D components on the tonneau?! LOL No way! Try fabric and extrusions that have been sawn to length and hardware attached. I used that same tonneau for over two years on my 22 Maverick. I liked it and it worked OK. I didn't like the way it ballooned at hiway speed. Replaced it last month with a soft topper in dark gray. Excellent fit and I really enjoy the extra room for camping equipment I now have.
did you do a video of putting the st badge on the grill ?
I did not
Have you guys found any mods to make the factory radio have satellite instead of the car play
It does have radio
An extra hour of editing to add text would have been really helpful 😅. I can’t make out brand names you are saying.
I can’t even pronounce brand names I am saying, I put all of them in the description however!
I hate really bright headlights. They blind everyone else
Never understand why anyone lowers a truck
If you do not intend to spend time off pavement, lowering can improve handling. A small truck lifted for off road is not macho.
Lower center of gravity. Stability. Handling.
I got light under the hood lol
to everyone watching, I'd save some money and get OE products but the slow release tailgate is cool
What is the model number for the lasfit lights?
There’s a link in the description of the video that should bring you right to them
@PerformanceOnWheels do you have a video on installation of cargo lights and / or the rear lasfit lights? I just bought and installed the front ones you recommended. Literally got back online to order led lights all around my Tremor.
That's your DAD? Either you look way older than you really are, or your dad looks way younger than he really is. He doesn't look any older than you.
21 and 40!
@@PerformanceOnWheels BTW - I got my Maverick 5 or 6 weeks ago, and discovered yesterday a really good reason to get the tailgate assist. If you have something sticking out the back because it's too big to fit in the bed, your tailgate is going to slam up and down as you drive. I got 2 plastic house shutters that are long but weigh nothing, and the first speed bump I went over sounded like my tailgate fell off.
@@KawaTony1964oh wow, I didn’t even think of that and I’ve watched 5 review videos showing this as a “feature” of the Mav
The only thing about your tailgate strut is you can't use the tie down claps on the tailgate because you had to remove one that sucks.😦😧
Kind of like the way this video was going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on but we want to know how it rides anybody could put extra stuff on modification do all that we want to know how it rides
Good thing I have other videos that do thru that!
The one needed is push button start
Lariat has push button start.
Bolts-bolts not screws.
Ratings 1 to 10 ??? Easiest to Install ONE? I think you think in reverse, too young to know the movie 10...
That’s how I’ve always heard of it🤷 I most definitely have never heard of that movie
Why do boomers write in incomplete sentences?
"Easiest mod you can do on literally any vehicle" clearly you haven't replaced bulbs on some cars..... have to remove half the front end on some.
Thats not a bottle opener. It's a hold down for straps. you have one on each side.
Tell me more, I legit look at it and can't figure out what it's for.
There is one on each side of the tail gate. put a strap through each side and it will hold down your load like lumber or sheets of plywood. I use mine all the time.
Why oh why wouldn’t you lower it?!
Lowering and a front shock tower brace are some of the first mods I want to do.
YOU DIDNT SHOW THE TRUCK WTF
We have lots of other videos and many videos in the works it will be featured in :) challenging to get some nice shots of it when we both are working full time jobs and it gets dark so fast in winter
Waste the money for the tailgate assist just hold your hand and let it down you don't have to let it drop
Not only that, but you lose the tie down cleats on the tailgate, which are super important if you want to haul stuff with the tailgate down.
Ok boomer.
My favorite thing I’ve done to my truck , when you only have a hand for a second when you’re holding heaven stuff
You couldn’t be more wrong this is a wonderful quick and helpful mod
The tailgate assist was the first thing I did to my Maverick. Love it.
Mud-flaps- no…no…no… The ugliest thing a person can attach to a car IMHO. For salt/rust prevention, a simple weekly car wash will help and resolve.
I agree, a company was kind enough to send them to us to check out. Not my favorite but if there your style there a solid product!
but they also help with getting rock dings on your lower doors and fenders. that being said. i don't like those flaps. they will hurt your paint. go for the Mabett flaps but you do you.
That's a hot take. Mudflaps are for function not to look pretty. Who wants rocks and stones to dent and scratch the paint on your fenders ?
Yeah, simply do a chore that requires an actual amount of time/money/facilities and effort instead of something that cost 35 dollars once that also blocks gravel/rock dings. Just go wash every day that the streets are salted and the temperature is in the negatives. You are joking.
For anyone that looks at the type he used in the video, the maverick forum had people notice this type might rub paint. I installed the Mabett product which do not seem to touch the paint. They do seem bigger than they need to be, but also look like they could be cut easily in a clean way.
@@rsngrl I commented the same thing basically and then immediately saw your reply. The Mabetts seems good. Now I need to pick a winner with the bed cover. Worried about buying cheap on that one and it being an ordeal to return, or worse, find it rusts/bends the thin bed metal.
How silly.
The maverick is nice. But it’s NOT a truck. It’s a car with a bed. It’s has very little tow capability. It looks great. But the dealerships are ruining the vehicle by ripping off customers by overpricing them. $20-25k is all that it’s worth in awd. $17-20k in non awd. Good for companies that need small vehicles that can carry small amounts of weight.
I would like to see you put 1500 lbs in a car trunk. It a great in town vehicle for homeowners. Where you’re not hauling big stuff all the time. The biggest thing I have hauled in mine is an 18 inch thick queen bed with box spring. I have to admit I wouldn’t want to haul it a long distance but I would like to see you put that in any car or suv for that matter. As far as the price what are you basing those prices on. Certainly nothing comparable out there sells for anything near the current Maverick price. Get real
That would make it literally the cheapest car on the road….
You’re saying it should be cheaper than any car on the road?
@@jamesmontague9277When they were first released they were starting at $19,000.
They have 2k towing capacity with an optional 4K add on. Doesn’t sound like a car to me
Clearly does not own a maverick.... Best vehicle I have ever owned, most of which have been full size trucks.
Mudflaps,really?
Really
@@PerformanceOnWheels mudflaps are for old people
@casper24ism we were sponsored by a company to install them
@@PerformanceOnWheels i get it,im busting your ball brother,great build.
