I was pleasantly surprised when I went to China. It was nothing like we've been told back home. It has the most amazing Civic Infrastructures and cheap Civic Services. Their public transport is second to none. Their Bullet Trains between Cities, their driverless RoboCabs, EV's everywhere replacing the combustion vehicles, fast charging stations, their Internet is super fast with fast 5G EVERYWHERE in China, and soon to be 6G. Their smart AI Skyscrapers, the abundance of food, the cleanliness, the safety, and shopping without fear even at 3am in the morning.
To see the REAL CHINA, people need to get themselves a passport and visit China. Our Media are not telling you the truth about China.

China is a civilized, open, clean, orderly, and beautiful safe country. Even if you walk on the streets of China at two o'clock in the night, it is very safe. The quality of life of the Chinese people is also very high. China's rural areas are also very clean, and the roads are also very safe. Very well built. Chinese people abide by public order very much and have no racial discrimination. 99% of Western media reports on China are lies and seriously mislead Westerners.

@@DONTSASSMEBOI Japan's economy has been stagnant for more than 20 years, its population is aging seriously, and its society has no vitality. It has long been a run-down country, and your thinking is still stuck in the last world. China ranks first in the world in 5G technology and new electric vehicle technology, and Japan has long been crushed by China in terms of technology.

China is vigorously promoting the anti-espionage law to the people, and TV propaganda encourages everyone to catch spies. China is now jittery and everyone is in danger. Said that any bad foreign visitors who criticize China will be arrested as spies to subvert the government! Someone was arrested as a spy and saboteur for complaining about China's economic depression.
The U.S. State Department has issued a travel warning on its website, listing travel to China as a third-level danger warning! Second only to the highest level 4 "Do Not Travel" (Do Not Travel).

      Hi there,
I pray you are well. If you do not mind me sharing; a well-planned, organic and unrefined plant-based diet (consuming edible raw plant foods where possible so as not to denature or destroy the life-forces and enzymatic activities beneficial to the human system. If disagreeing on this matter, please try planting some steamed carrots and see if they will grow; if they fail to, it is because they are 'dead' plant food that cannot fully nourish one's 'living' cells) consisting of organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains is the best diet to provide mankind with ultimate health and longevity. These foods, fresh and grown in rich soil, are found all the essential vitamins, calcium, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, minerals, protein and water needed to make good blood and enjoy health.
Please avoid meat alternatives that contain harmful preservatives and additives e.g vinegar, a corrosive agent. Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more toxic things, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death.

Alipay is more convenient for foreigners because it can be tied to international bank cards, and I suppose if you want to go to Chengdu from Hong Kong, flying is a better choice because it will take you 9 hours and 45 minutes by high-speed train which is been too long since you only have a 144-hour transit visa. I suggest you fly from Hong Kong to Chongqing for a day sightseeing, which is another extraordinary giant city not far from Chengdu, then lastly transfer to Chengdu by high-speed rail.

We appreciate you offering the global community an authentic glimpse into Shanghai. This cosmopolitan metropolis harbors tremendous allure, and the bulk of its denizens are amicable and benevolent. Unfortunately, depictions of China in certain Western media outlets and of the West in some Chinese media channels tend to be skewed and disheartening. Much like the majority of Westerners, we aspire to engage in mutual respect and cross-cultural understanding. Your presence in China is always cherished should you opt to return in the future!

The beauty about the Bund walk is also having the modern skyline on one side of the water, and the old colonial buildings on the other side. There's always something very satisfying about seeing the Chinese flag on top of the colonial buildings that are beautiful but also symbolise a dark period in China's history. Always loved coming back to China, Shanghai was my favourite city in the world to live in as an expat, but I had to leave when covid came. Shanghai 2019 is still the best year in my life.

I'm at about the 2:00 mark when making this comment.
The transit visa is a real thing. I appreciate it that you emphasised it. It's good information. But.
It is also a valid thing that flying to Taipei for this transit may not be considered a valid destination. It depends on whether the terms of the visa requires you to fly to another country or it just needs you to cross the border control of PRC, because Taiwan is a part of China and Taipei is a Chinese city. Yes, you do cross the border control of PRC so if the visa requirements are to cross out of the border control of PRC, you're fine. But if the requirements are to exit China's borders and go to another country, it does not apply.

China provides 144-hour TRANSIT VISA for citizens from selected 53 countries. If you transfer your flights at airports in Shanghai, Hangzhou or Nanjing, you can visit Shanghai city, Zhejiang and Jiangsu Provinces during the 144 hours. If you transfer at airports in Beijing, Tianjin or Shijiazhuang, you can travel in Beijing, Tianjin cities and Hebei Province. If you transfer at Shenyang or Dalian airport, you can travel within Liaoning Province. Many other airports are also qualified for this TRANSIT VISA, such as Wuhan, Chengdu, Xi'an, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Xiamen, Qingdao......

Hello, Can you explain how the 144 hrs work? If I stopover for 5 days in Shanghai then travel to Japan. Then return from Japan to Shanghai for another 2 days before returning to my home destination from Shanghai. Will the 5 initial days and the 2 days after Japan mean that I’m over the 144 hrs free visa or will the 5 days and 2 days count separately? I.e I will need to apply for another visa on my return from Japan?
