Thanks just getting into no prep this was very useful! Had no idea about bands. Will de be getting the DE sc and the outlaws to start with bands to match
Awesome! Always happy to hear I could help someone. Didn't see very many videos on this topic so thought I would make a video going over my experiences. 👍
@@corysorrells22 no there’s not really that many videos at all compared to other Rc tires. Which is weird for such a growing sport. So would you suggest the clay or D40 to start?
I personally like the clay compound since its a little bit firmer and doesn't balloon as much. I run them without tire bands and do carpet burnout and they last for a long time. Probably 30 or 40 passes
I needed this video. I’m working on a fwd drag build and all the slicks are too tall for my body but those de-minis are PERFECT! I’ll definitely be picking up some of those
Glad I could help give some insight. There are alot of optional out there and I pretty much tried every tire. Since I've bought almost every tire I thought I would review them and save someone else from buying them all too lol.
@@corysorrells22 I’ve got one question about the de minis before I order them. How’s the ballooning? I don’t mind if it’s not too bad. It’s actually kinda good if it grows a little because it makes it like the car has a taller gear and give better top speed
Pro-line makes 2.2s and AKA Racing makes stadium truck 2.2s. If you order from AKA use the discount code "noprepdrag" and you'll get a slight discount at check out. 👍
Just wanted to pick your brain. So did your dad run in drag back in the day? It is so true history does repeat itself. Let's see how long this time last, or I should say until it falls out of the spot light again. Ask your dad if he remembers 1/5 racing 😆
@@corysorrells22 I remember back in the day (late 70's early 80's) we used to run nitro drag racing with bell bottoms, coke bottle glasses, cut off blue jeans and trucker hats lol 😆. Anyway man your doing an awesome job. Bring it back!
Whats your fb page? Also, I have a set of big daddy clays on the way and am about to order a set of the Graham bands for them. Do your have any tips or tricks on those as far as do you trim the foam when running bands or what? Thanks for the great videos
Did you notice any better hook up off the line with the even side wall stadium truck tires? 🤔

3mm wide hex spacers. Space the wheel out if you have space in the body
I have been unable to find those tires bands from grp who else makes em besides bombshells?

@@ashermorales8276 honestly I only ran them a couple of times and it was on a small motor so ballooning wasn't an issue at the moment.
@@corysorrells22 okie dokie. I’ll get them and try them and if they balloon too much then I’ll tape them or something
Anyone know of a set of RC slicks that arent for 3.0/2.2 rims. I need something with an equal rim diameter each side (e.g 2.2” crawler rims)

Two wheel Drive Drive "Street Eliminator" reactions no foams seems to be the best or at least what most are running love them
@@kristianlincoln5818 lol
Rite on Braddah good video DE’s are my go to tire also and most used 🤙
so no foams with the insert?
For which tires? I always run foams personally
DE racing street outlaws
@@donmodlin7866 I wouldn't suggest running those tires without foams and just bands.
Having a hell of a time getting the wheel on. What about triming the foam?
@@donmodlin7866 on the outlaws I usually trim the ribs out if the foams so I hey lay flatter
i bought some tire belts but it has no instructions... my question is do i glue the belt to the tire ore or just place it in there
Can you share info for the belts? Thank You

No prep drag racing is done on an unpreped track. Thats it. Tire prep is allowed in real no prep drag racing.

Awesome, I literally set them in the tire first then the foam then glue the tire to the rim.
