But, some of our first rides are just too much fun not to share. So, welcome to this First Ride video, where you get to ride along with our staff on their very first time on the machine. It is amazing to me how Zack can talk so calmly while doing 170+ and also while having some serious lean angles. Great review, incredible riding.

That had to be the best motorcycle review I've ever seen. I live in Austin and have raced on COTA on 4 wheels.... how he managed to speak a review on two wheels while doing what he did.... VERY impressed. He needs his own channel!!! I'd sub in a heart beat.

2:25's at COTA. That's pretty damn fast for a press event Zackaroo! The MotoAmerica guys are running in the 2:10 - 2:20 range!
170+mph and you're still carrying on conversation... I'd be too busy screaming! :-D Awesome as usual, sir, and the bike isn't bad either.

Zack... You are my favorite motorcycle reviewer. I'm not a big fan of the magazine personally but I love all your videos and the content they allow you to put out. Keep it up bud and keep threading that rubber it's amazing! Best bike reviews around period.
Just bought a '17 Tuono Factory on Saturday. Still in shock at how good it is. Probably would've got the RR if the black was matte like the RSV4 shown here. Will be making the first video for it this Friday 👍🏻

How are the ergos on the Tuono 1100? I'm thinking about an RR to replace my speed triple r.
ergos are so subjective. I'd imagine if you're on a speed triple r you'd be fine. Friend has a speed triple. compared to my Multistrada, yeah it feels aggressive as fuck. But compared to the RSV4 that was next to it at the dealer it feels fantastic. The RSV4 was not even an option after i sat on it. I'm doing 100-150 miles tomorrow on the Tuono. I'll know more then, but for me.... it's fantastic. But again, i have the Multi when i want absolute comfort. Sorry, i Know this is basically a non-answer, lol.
Ha. good question. I'm considering the akra that you can get from the Aprilia dealer. $1600 and it comes with two mid pipes. one w/ a cat and one w/out. and they have the correct map to go with it. looks sharp too. Probably going that route at 600 mile service
Thanks for the answer, you were still useful. Yeah I could never ride on an RSV4 for more than 30 minutes without going mad... but i sat on the Tuono once and it seemed pretty ok even if it's a small bike.

Thanks Zack, that was pretty cool to go along for the ride on that one. I've done 140s but never 170+. At some point fast is just fast. Really love this bike.

Awesome review that's fitting for an awesome bike. Really enjoyed it Zack, you have some great skills and look forward to seeing more. I love my rsv4 and just wish it got more publicity and recognition because it's a one of a kind bike that has soul and character. The Aprilia was born for the track.

As an everyday commuter, I would love/be terrified to go to a track with a competent motorcycle.
Try a track that rents bikes for the day. Slightly less terrifying knowing that if you go down, your insurance won't go through the roof!! haha...

Rode this on a demo day, holy smokes it can move. Only got up to 100mph on a highway near the dealer and the group left me and was flying way past 100. Would like to try it on a track, maybe a different feeling. One day

Triumphrider It's not really much lower spec except for Showa suspension instead of ohlins. Awesome bike and review. If you haven't yet go try an Aprilia. You'll be hooked
It's been on my dream bikes list for a while, truth is it will likely stay there unless I hit a lottery or something; I'd probably opt for a Tuono if I were in the market, though. Don't know how long I could stand to ride a committed sportbike like that as I'm not so young any more (though I do try to ride like it!) My sportiest is a 97 T595 Daytona, and I had to go with Heli Bars to ease the load on the wrists (I've done a 700 mile day on it.)
