- RESET WEEK post travel!!! Needed to catch up on sleep, work, and eat HEALTHY(er) foods after our wild weekend in Mexico! Made some healthy recipes, got in a couple self care nights, went shopping with my mom, and prepped for the NEXT TRIP (lol). So excited to be home for the rest of summer after this and to get into a good routine!!

one thing,, a scene, a flower, a fancy meal u loved, a tropical drink, somethg u "sight" saw...anything that reminds you of each vaca...could frame them, add to your vaca diary, or leave in a photo book...it's amazing how quickly we forget those little details that caught our eye on a vaca

I paint myself, used to be in watercolour, now I do mostly acrylic. You’re a painter, those are frameable..not a word, but works. Lean them on your floating shelves in kitchen. Chef’s kiss.

I also cannot stand the mush of overnight oats and recently I was introduced to making a baked oatmeal instead! And then you can store it in the fridge and heat pieces up in the morning. Still soft but not mushy, absolute game changer!

@@megcreates2.0 tbh I wouldn't date someone that actively wanted to be in my content hahah he's not a social media guy at all and I plan to keep him out of the vlogs!! I've done the super public relationship thing and I'm not interested in doing that again!
I LOVE overnight oats and I’m SO picky with breakfast foods. I normally do:
1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of coconut milk
Half a container of silk almond milk yogurt (I like the chocolate or vanilla)
Chia seeds (I think I do about a tablespoon)
Honey, brown sugar, cinnamon to top it or peanut butter and top it with fruit I use a lot of berries! I add all the toppings on the next morning if you try again!

What Tara these paintings are gorgeous I can see your own art style blooming beautifully. So keep up the great work you are now becoming a true artist. Ignore the negativity that I know can be spewed on the internet. You got me wanting to paint and get back into my artistic side of my personality. Although I fear I may have lost that part . Your overnight oats aren’t good because you need toppings! The oats are a base but you got to add flavour. My two favourite combos are chocolate protein powder, banana, peanut butter and coconut OR vanilla protein powder, almond butter, strawberry, honey and cinnamon.

I love eating leftovers. Also, it helps because it's a meal you dont have to worry about the next day or so.
Since it’s on theme with the croissants you got from Door Dash I would say the next painting theme should absolutely be ✨ pastries ✨!!
You should paint different flowers of the season. They always look stunning in watercolor.
Watercolor theme that may be fun could be birth month flowers/fav flowers of friends and family

Try overnight oats with only the basic recipe. Use 1/2 C whole rolled oats, 1/2 C whatever milk you prefer. That's base. I love to add partially thawed fruit and mini chocolate chips (sometimes) then whatever sweetener you like. I use honey. But using flavored creamer is great, just be sure your liquid is 1/2 C total. You can always add a little yogurt to this. But this is base...equal parts oats and milk. Throw caution to the wind and create whatever you want!! The whole oats don't get that mushy overnight. Have fun!!

*OATS* when ready to eat: Add Pecans, Cinnamon, Berries, Date Syrup, P.Butter. You can also add in Vanilla protein powder. You won’t notice texture at all. 💗

31:31 31:40 31:43 outfits suits you. 31:32 31:31 31:34 and 31:45 are good for summer dates. 31:36 the top would be good for if you are going to the pool or beach.

HACK FOR THE BRAIDS: (Or at least something I figured out for myself) When I do double braids I use the small clear bands to tie them because the regular hair ties are too thick for the ends of my hair and it has really made a difference in how they look to me! Might be worth a try if you want to keep ~dabbling~ with the braids for annoying hair days!

I love overnight oats, but I’ve never put yogurt in them. I use the quick oats, oat milk and a splash of whatever coffee creamer I’m obsessed with (right now it’s a Cinnabon one) and something like cinnamon or fruit to go on top and make it fun.
Since they were too creamy for you, try making them right before bed instead! It’s what I do and they have more texture come morning, less time for them to soften that way!
If you like pistachios, International delight has a pistachio creamer. That with Monin pistachio syrup makes a delish latte.
Your watercolor painting was very good! You have artist skills! I want to be able to do that too. I have some skills but don’t give myself time to do those things.
The paintings look great girl! Don’t beat yourself up! Water colour takes time and a lot of patience! Take it from someone who used to paint in high school 😅 One tip of advice - add the base in water colour and then go for a second layer with acrylic. Give the painting more depth. It’ll be hard to add water over water especially when it’s drying.
a tip for the overnight oats- def the quick oats made it mushy, but also the chia seeds could contribute to that! I love chia seeds in a smoothie but chia pudding is my nightmare, I imagine it was oats + that texture and that sounds REVOLTING. also fruit and and a low sugar granola will def help!!!
I’m a rd, gluten free oats just mean that they are certified gluten free. Rolled oats are already gluten free ;)
You can use up those oats by making pancake batter …one egg, oats, mashed banana, drop of creamer, pinch of salt … super good with raspberries or blueberries ❤
Tips I use for making overnight oats since I hate the mushy texture as well is I like to add everything and blend it, in the morning if you like pudding it’s got that type of texture. Also for extra protein I like to use a protein shake instead of milk☺️I hope this helps!!😊

I find overnight oats really mushy too so I always add apples for a little crunch! Makes it 10x better

suggest to add peanut butter and/or berries to your overnight oats. honey + fruits (berries, kiwi) + nuts can work too!
Next time you need to thicken up a sauce- take a small handful of raw, unsalted cashews and blitz them up in a nutribullet with a 1/4 cup of cold water until it’s super blended. It thickens up with heat like magic! 💜

I do meals like that but usually with pasta instead of rice. I roast a bunch of vegetables in the oven while the pasta cooks. I like to roast a bunch of extra vegetables for other meals.
Maybe a theme of painting the views from past places you’ve lived? Still remember those stunning sunsets and storms from your Canada apartment :)

Im not an oatmeal girl either. When i do eat it, i have to add toppings, lol .. For overnight oats I do overnight apple pie oats, which is a similar base for the oats you did( i use regular oats not quick and dont have issues with texture) , and then before i eat them, i add apples, cinnmon, walnuts, a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkle of brown sugar. So good!
You can also cook the apples in cinnmon and brown sugar and then add it to the oats before you eat them 😊
