    My son lives in Midhurst and we have ancestors, the Browne Family who owned Cowdray Castle way back. I love Sussex although born in London.

    Born and bred in Horsham, most of my family still live in the area and can date our ancestry back 500 years within 10 miles. Sadly however the building of more estates is pushing up congestion on the roads and ruining a once peaceful county.
    It’s a shame the cometary isn’t a West Sussex accents which would be easier to understand.

    I lived in Hassocks first (North of Brighton), but I'm happy we moved to Worthing later. The best time I had in the UK.
    I wanted to return, but it's a pity that rentals increased like crazy over the past 3 years. It's a great place to live. You can have quiet time, but you can do some shopping and there are also frequently events, and there's also there and cinema etc. No wonder it was voted the best place to move to. It's a great place to live. Unfortunately, it's getting more expensive because of the increased demand (apart of the rental prices in the whole of the UK going up since interest rates were raised)

    As they build 1000s of houses the main routes will be in total gridlock in just a few years the A27 and A259 are already full but won't build the A27 for years Arundel is so slow and queue jumping is a real problem at rush hour

    Twice I’ve seen Steyning in someone’s West Sussex beauty list. Both times The Cobblestones failed to get a mention. Did you miss it?

    Bosham is pronounced 'Bozzam'.

    • @mansoureh
      @mansoureh  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, I found out about the pronunciation after I posted the video 🙈

      @@mansoureh Thank you for your reply. If you learned English as a foreign language, you will already know that the pronunciation of English words often bears very little correlation with the spelling. This is particularly true when it comes to place names in England. A couple of well-known 'chestnuts' are: Woolfardisworthy (North Cornwall) is pronounced 'Woolsery', and Alnwick (Northumberland) is pronounced 'Annick'. Hopefully this will be useful if you ever decide to produce a video of those places.

    Very nice filming but let down by the truly awful commentary and hopeless pronunciation.
    Better to have a real Sussex person narrate this.

      Thank you for visiting my channel! I’m sure there are wonderful TH-camrs from Sussex who capture the local accent perfectly. Here, I’ll continue sharing stories in my own voice and style, focusing on creating quality content for my audience who appreciate my efforts and professionalism.

    Traffic is terrible in W Sussex and Worthing is a horrible town with very rude locals

    • @StephenWestrip
      @StephenWestrip 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Not really. Having lived in W Sussex for 50 years it is no better or worse than any other counties. Of course it has traffic hotspots but on the whole not busy.

      I lived in Worthing, and I do not know what you're talking about, it's rather the exact opposite of what you're saying....Maybe people were rude for a reason? I mean, I never experienced rude people in Worthing, neither did my wife and I have been living here for 2 years...
