*The White Lady of Balete Drive* - My whole family drove near that street, I saw the Balete Tree. My dad told me that there will be a _White dressed lady_ that appears only at night time. I don’t know if i believed him or not. 😂
True story that happened to my mom: My mom said that when she was young she rides a jeep with her friends and then one of her friends said that there was a white lady(a white lady is a girl with long black hair,no face, and long white dress)was hanging on the jeepney.it was only her friends who saw that..but my mom said she saw it too.... Fun fact: An Manananggal is a half-human half-bat creature. They say that in the day she's a beautiful girl but... at night, her upper torso gets detached from her lower part of her body and uses huge bat-like wings to fly into the night. Manananggal tend to feed to on unborn babies and the only way to kill her... is to find the lower-half and sprinkle salt (and other types of things Manananggal's allergic too) on the part where she will attach again... the reason why is that, during the day she goes to her lower-half and becomes human again but when there's salt, the aswang will have an allergic reaction in her insides and "burn" and eventually dying :D
I wonder if stories of snake-children actually come from cases of harlequin ichthyosis. Don't google it, but it causes thick, scaly skin and a sometimes monstrous appearance which is troubling even when you understand what it is.
Those poor little children... They must be so strong to endure that and so willful to survive. However, I'm pretty sure harlequin ichthyosis doesn't cause a hunger for human flesh...

Has anyone heard of the mumu? My lola told me the story when I was around five and I have been scared ever since. The story is basically that there is a monster who takes and kidnaps little kids who don't go to sleep by their bedtime. Everytime i get water at night, I freak out and run back to my room because of the story.
I know that this comment is a year old but yes. My lola also told me about it as well. It was about my father when he was young when he allegedly encountered a mumu in the middle of the night, then lolo came out with a bolo knife to chase it but had gotten away. Also, I see that you're a fan of ranboo :))

Fun fact: An Manananggal is a half-human half-bat creature. They say that in the day she's a beautiful girl but...
at night, her upper torso gets detached from her lower part of her body and uses huge bat-like wings to fly into the night. Manananggal tend to feed to on unborn babies and the only way to kill her... is to find the lower-half and sprinkle salt (and other types of things Manananggal's allergic too) on the part where she will attach again...
the reason why is that, during the day she goes to her lower-half and becomes human again but when there's salt, the aswang will have an allergic reaction in her insides and "burn" and eventually dying
:D
itz_rtg617 thats a *Manananggal*
they're "kinda" the same... but i edited my comment to avoid confusion.. :3
thx for the info.. i usually mess those two up
I wonder if stories of snake-children actually come from cases of harlequin ichthyosis. Don't google it, but it causes thick, scaly skin and a sometimes monstrous appearance which is troubling even when you understand what it is.
don't google pony jar project.
*googles it*
It's so pretty...
O:
*still scrolling*
Actually, it looks very painful...
Poor children..
Those poor little children... They must be so strong to endure that and so willful to survive. However, I'm pretty sure harlequin ichthyosis doesn't cause a hunger for human flesh...
Ha

it varries in different dialects in the Philippines.
for example in tagalog. The term "Langgam" is ants. but for the bisayas its bird.

Greatest Filipino urban legend:
A president who doesn't act like an immature drunk uncle.
