He is such a great toy, one of my alltime favorites. Sadly he is mostly remembered for being dwarfed by Fort Max and not having this cool City mode like he does. No one seems to recognize that he has a superior robot design (and claws as hands!!!) and the scorpian mode outshines Max unimaginative battlestation mode by far
Biggest US G1 deception, Gigatron, the EN ver of Overlord, was the largest G1 deception, being about a centimeter or 2 larger, with Black Zarak being the biggest Japanese G1 toy. Yet I would not count BZ, as he was only taller due to horns and was a part of Masterforce and not G1.
I'm glad I still have my G1 Skorponok from back in the day. I'm missing almost all of the city mode accessories, sadly, but I almost always left him in scorpion mode anyway. Mine also has the "headmaster popping out" problem, and I've idly looked for a way to fix it but haven't had much luck. I do love Skorponok though, in the Marvel comic he was a fantastic character.

If Omega is as big as Devastator, its going to cost $$$$. Hell Trypticon is probably going to cost upwards of $300+ not to mention the SDCC version and the Takara Version which will probably add 200+ more to it.. Fortmax was a retooled Metroplex so they didn't have much to remold.. The others.. oh man..

I was wondering if you were going to point out the awkwardly placed rubsign. For the record I enjoyed you rubbing the rubsign, but I think Scorponok enjoyed it more. A city mode for a leader figure seems really weird to me, and I'm not sure what purpose Fasttrack serves. I suspect the new toy is superior in almost every way, but I do miss the play features for the city bots. The leg motion is nicely done. Maybe one day I'll direct some funds into finally getting the G1 version.
I'm a few years late on this video, but if you take a dry erase marker and use it on the magic marker on Fasttrack, you should be able to just wipe it off.
Despite his dull base mode, he is, in my opinion, the single best transformers figure. At least in his size class. Remarkable how such a phenomenal figure was made in G1. Even if it was late G1.

Yes, Unicron is supposed to be the size of a planet. However, every iteration of a Unicron figure is the size of Fortress Maximus. However, Fortress Maximus should have been the size of Scorponok and the figure of Unicron should have been 2' robot.

I have him loose 98% complete just missing the drones arms and 2 aerials but he's in excellent condition. Often thought of selling him from time to time. But I know the greedy cunts on eBay would want him for fuck all or just constantly watch it when it's listed and never buy. So I just keep him. I know I'd regret selling him though so that's another reason I keep him.
