I was very upset and saddened by it, my daughter told me a couple of month ago that it was another chef Pasquale with the same name and God rest his soul. You cook from the heart, a great sense of humor. I also had the same treatment when I was 7 years old by getting down on my knees for one hour but with large sharp sea salt and getting up with the help of two fellow classmates.
Just made this, it's fantastic! I used regular bacon, canned cannellini beans, canned whole tomatoes, and canned stock. I forgot to buy cabbage, but just added extra Kale. Thanks for another great recipe!
We were visiting my mother-in-law in Georgia. MIL and I stayed up watching a few of your videos. We decided to make this one the very next day. My husband said this was the best meal on our entire trip there, including nice meals from upscale restaurants. Then 2 days later we made your potato leek soup. And then 2 days later we made your chicken vesuvio. All were fantastic!!! Thank you for sharing your recipes. We will be your forever loyal fans from now on.

Earlier I lived near a lane lined with Italian gardens. How wonderfully they grew and you couldn't walk down the lane without someone offering you a bunch of greens, a few tomatoes, some carrots or fennel, brilliant colored peppers and such. And the smells coming out of the houses. If you were lucky they would invite you in for a bowl of soup or spaghetti. I can still see the beautiful veg plants and flowers. They sure made beautiful gardens.

I still say Pasquale is the best italian chef on you tube, followed by a close tie for 2nd with Lidia Bistanich & Nick Stellino, tuscan soup is my fave italian soup, better than wedding soup, etc... i think the beans make you release more than relax, LOL , i eat a lot of beans, if they cause you bloating, discomfort, gas, etc.., a tip i received yrs. ago, & i'm 56 in Kentucky where beans are a staple item, for this amount of soup, add 1 level tablespoon of granulated sugar to the pot, will not sweeten the soup, but will cause a chemical reaction that removes the the side effects of eating beans, i.e. the problems i mentioned above, it works, also with boiled cabbage, onions, etc...

Dear Chef Pasquale I made your Tuscan Soup. I used Prosciutto instead of pancetta and zucchini instead of cabbage.....I think I should have used Homemade chicken stock like you did but I bought store made.... The Soup came out OK .....I need to try again and do exactly like you. Thank You and yes,,,Chin Chin !
