The s10 is a 5 lug setup. If you look at the large blazers from the1980's,and 90's they are6 lug. What he has is the S10. It's understandable why you ask though.
everything on the front was a Bolton operation and only needed bleeding. 4:19. All you do is get the entire brake assembly off the donor car which is a 2 Wheel Dr. blazerincluding the brake line in the water on to the G body
Wow i wish i saw this about 12 hours sooner, just ordered and picked up drop spindles, rotors bearings calipers and pads for my regal all original spec
This is interesting but don't forget that in 78 atleast an El camino has the older spindles like the 77. Then in 79 all G bodys had the same. Wildwood has a direct bolt up dual piston caliper kit with pads I used that works. Called the dual D154 front caliper kit for under $400 caliper and pads. Not bad if you ask me. I also got the Wildwood 1 inch bore master cylinder and proportion valve that comes off it. Will need to relocate the washer fluid reservoir. Still putting it together. Having issues because the stock has 1/4 and 3/16 brake lines. Will have to modify that if you get the master cylinder. Will update after and also have the drum brakes in rear but wanted to not lock up the rear drums which it did under strong stopping with 255 rear tires and 235 front.
Nice vid!! I would have liked to see how the rear switches as far as after pulling the axle, dropping the drums how the rear blazer caliper bracket mounts up.

I'm not 100% on the rear yet. I think u pull the whole backing plate and all for the rear and u have to cut the factory housing but I'll try to find out more info for you on that.
you can have a 10 piston caliper, vehicle is going to stop the same as single caliper brakes, tire don't care how many pistons caliper's have, traction (tire) is and will be the limiting factor on how quick a car stops, the only thing is going to be noticeable is pedal feel, perception, so it would be akin to kidding yourself, I went to dual piston, but upgraded to larger rotor diameter, car still stops the same, but now brakes take longer to overheat plus it takes less pedal effort, if you don't change tire width or compound you ain't changing much. Think of it this way, same car, same brakes, same tires, one test on dry road, next test on same road but wet....will a 12 piston caliper stop faster on wet road?
I've already determined that wheel size and bolt pattern are the same, but does this mod change the offset significantly enough to require different alignment specs?

Trailblazer production started in 2002.
Can u still run original 14 inch rims after
Idk I run 14s with it but I've never done 14s
@@BOURBONANDBOOST I heard with some brake upgrades u had to have a bigger rim🤷🏾
So only the 2000 work? Not a 99' or an 01'?
98-04 2wd blazer should work
@G BODY GARAGE thanks bro! Appreciate the fast response!

@@BOURBONANDBOOST I actually did find a set today bro!

Just found your channel brother!!!
3 G- Body's in my fleet!!!
Two 79s and a 86 SS!!!
I have 2" Bell Tech drop spindles with 13" Corvette brakes on one of my 79s!!!
The other 79 is going 4x4 this Christmas week!!! Be sure to check out the build on my channel!!!!
Keep Rocking It Out Brother!!!!
no one cares
Easier to do corvette brakes also
Don't you hate when people start bragging about what they have in the comments section.. lol...
It changes your offset by at least 1” a friend just did this swap and now his front wheels rub!
Mine was the exact same. I've done this on 3 g body's and all have been same as factory
Moog used too and probably still makes offset upper control arm shafts and you can use the old shafts with the ends cut off, so you can get back the correct angles.
Am gonna go lookin tomorrow holy shit I never knew!!!
Thanx subbed and liked
87 Gn thanks man!

I’m gonna try this on my 69 cutlass
