This was really an audiophile review. Youthman used all the key words that bring smiles to HIFI enthusiasts faces and ears. This was a very comprehensive speaker review. The highs never sound strained without being too bright. Love that description.

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Thank you for the kind words Tristan. I don’t have the fancy vocabulary terms many others use. I can only describe what my ears hear.

@@Youthman you don't give yourself enough credit. You definitely used some audiophile terms while still being authentic. You can tell you invested a tremendous amount of time in listening and in then finding descriptive words that conveyed what you heard. This review will let people know what to expect. Especially like how you discussed the center imaging as being a miss for you in your room. Some people also want an oversized soundstage for home theater. It isn't always as accurate to what is happening on screen when the soundstage is larger but many people don't mind the tradeoff of accuracy for more a grand scale especially with musical scores

I have a set of the 700s and I am impressed with them. They work well for the smaller room I have and offer a big bang for their buck. I have been able to crank them up without any type of sound quality loss. You can certainly get a better sounding speaker, but these provide a good balance of price and quality!

I have the Aurora 700s with a Musical Fidelity MSI integrated amp and Love them in my 13x19 room . They are pulled out about 2.5 ft from the back wall and I get a great sound stage, great center and extends well beyond the speakers depending on the recording.

I took a shot at the 300’s for my bedroom. I immediately noticed the build quality and that tells the story for the entirety of these quality speakers. In their price range and beyond these are very satisfying speakers for every genre I enjoy and there are several. These aren’t just the next affordable but disappointing shelf speakers as there are many.

Heco is awsome, I have the 30 year old 850, and these are still great.
If you buy them, you can keep them for centuries.
They are currently driven by a Sonos AMP, the third amp since I bought them.
Only downside, you will not be able to replace them with anything cheaper.

I got the 5.1 speaker package, hooked up to an RZ50 and I'm really happy. The Heco a30 sub is okay, and will probably be upgraded. But the whole package is great out of the box for a HT starter.

  • @Techie-B

Thanks for reviewing this Michael. This is one I have been waiting for since your first video on the Heco's. It is a shame that you did not get the 30 center and a couple of 300 rear speakers from Audio Advice to test them with some movies in a home theater environment. These might very well be what will be going into my living room/home theater in the coming year.

I would recommend you also look at the new Elac Debut 3 series that recently got released if you are shopping around for something like the Hecos. They have been getting really good reviews.

I think the best price to performance ratio offers the Celan Revolution series. The top of the line Heco Celan Revolution 9 is a big speaker that performs great for only 3.6k EUR in Germany.

Truthfully, I can’t relate to most two channel shows because they often play music that I would never listen to myself. I love music that has a solid beat and gets my head bouncing. I grew up listening to hip hop and rap in the 90’s. I’ve enjoyed pop, rock, even dubstep when it was popular.

In Germany, 90‘s, Heco sold his products in local diy markets and they were very very cheap and mocked. I think this is the biggest problem with this speakers here in germany - the image from Heco. But the speakers are great now !

@@edwarddiogu6377 For Klipsch rf7 you should probably put Heco Revolution 9. There is a video on TH-cam revolution9 vs Klipsch rf7mk3. I sold it myself. I replaced the Klipsch rp260f rp450c rp402s with the Heco Revolution7 rev4 center rev3 surr. The Heco needs more power than the Klipsch to make them sound great. I will write this in Stereo. The Heco wins, but in the cinema the Klipsch is probably the best.

Those speakers look absolutely gorgeous and would love to hear them. In some photos and videos however, it's hard to tell if the side panels are white wood vinyl or are light oak vinyl. I think these would benefit tremendously from biamping over using a av receiver as all speakers with dual binding posts would.
