Like the Ford OBS body style..Nice repair on the wheel wells common problem on fords and don't help being all the way up north where get a lot of snow and salt. 10,000 lakes MN lol not far from where i live in iowa
hey brotha, good video! Have an older F250 with rust in the same areas, ended up buying some fender flares as well. It was good to have a visual on the install. Keep up the good work, truck is really looking good my man!
You got front and rear leaf springs? If yes where do you get 4 inch lift at I have been looking everywhere but can't find anything. I have a 95 f250 front leafs with shocks and rear leafs with shocks
Dude... I'm doing the same thing.. but when it comes to bolting the flares down and all that rust in the groove, where did you put screws in at the top?
Hey man ik this is a old video but I am wanting to do the same as u did with the product u used what is the name of the product u used to stop the rust
@@UpNorthOutdoorsCool yea I'm going to do something similar to my 97 did you do the same prep on the fronts? I got some on my front fenders near the bottom of the fenders.
+BLKAUTOBOT I got the lift kit at www.roughcountry.com/ and the I think we got the fender flares off of www.carid.com/1996-ford-f-250-engine-components/trick-flow-specialties-track-max-hydraulic-roller-camshaft-91396869.html
Hey man, wanted to ask you a question, I’m looking to add fender flares over a rusted spot on my truck. Do you still have this truck and if so do you still use those flares? When you did have them on did you ever have issues with the flares coming loose and knocking on the fender at speed?
hey man. I have the same truck as you and i was wondering what was the exact pair of flares you got. and where did you get them from? cause you cant order from the bushwacker site. thanks.
Good work, and love the truck, but even with you spraying that rust remover, you still have rust that you cannot see. Spraying that primer will hold for a little while, but six month to a year down the road and rust through will be happening. Not bashing anything, live the work, but should've cut the wheel well and spotted all the rust and got rid of it. I myself have a 1995 f.150 with a 351, and love these trucks. Keep up the awesome work on this thing and don't let it go
I have a 91 Chevy that I was gonna do this and need to do a lot of cutting, welding and repaneling done to it but I couldn’t decide if I should do it this way or just what I have heard cut out all the rust and put something on where I cut to keep that from rusting then put the fender flares on.
I was looking to do the same to my 92 but I don't know how I would go about installing those flares since the lip on my rear wheel well is rust to shit that's pretty much what has rust then half inch from the edge of the wheel well which I already grind the rust and prep and prime it to stop it from getting worst ! and btw sick fucking truck love it !
hey, i like the way those turned out! Im wondering how these hold up and look after paint, and also what specs are your tires? Im looking to give my 91 f250 a facelift
Nice job! How does that lift kit ride? I'm gonna lift my 78 but don't want it to ride to ruff. I'm an old guy and live in Alaska the roads are mostly dirt and ice. Keep on workin on it good job!
Thanks man! It rides a tad bit stiff to be honest, but if I've heard if you reverse your front shackles you can get a smoother ride. I've always wanted to visit Alaska!
+UpNorthOutdoors no mine won't yours will. like I said I removed the rust , filled it in (welded new sheet metal to simplify for the dimwit) and finished with bondo before adding my flares , you never treated the inside of you're wheel wells thus it'll rust out and you'll never know GL
Nobody ever wants to fix the rust right amazing! Always do it the cheap man way why waste the time!! I get rust fix do it the right way weld new metal in!!!!!!
I would recommend painting the rust with POR-15. It works great
By the way, good job on stopping the rust before installing these. Most idiots would miss that step.
Anybody else hear how cold it is where he's at lol? I got respect for you man. That's damn cold.
Did a great job always good working with dad in the shop. Good video
Matthew Bauman Thanks!!
Matthew Bauman do you have fb

You got front and rear leaf springs? If yes where do you get 4 inch lift at I have been looking everywhere but can't find anything. I have a 95 f250 front leafs with shocks and rear leafs with shocks
Does the flare gasket adhesive portion go on the inside of the flare out the outside?
Hmmm, flares would look good on my Bronco.
Looks good man, nice job on everything
Logan W. Thanks!!
And that's a good looking truck
Sweet Truck!
Wheel spacers next! Now ya gotta fill up them wells
I have the exact same problem and want to do what you did but need the part number and where you got the flares

+John S Thanks man!
what was that rust product you used ?
how much was your 4in lift
What type of bushwackers are these? Do they fit firmly against or did you have to do any cutting?
Great video by the way!
They're the only ones they make for the OBS and no i didn't need to do any cutting
Thanks!
Which flairs are those?
What is the width of those 35's? Doesn't look like 12.5..... I'm thinking something around 10 maybe...
Dude... I'm doing the same thing.. but when it comes to bolting the flares down and all that rust in the groove, where did you put screws in at the top?
sick rig. which fender flares are those?
Has the rust popped out yet man? I was literally thinking the same idea as you, i got the same problem. And what products did you use ?
Justin Whittier nope hasn't popped out yet! And I can't remember it was awhile ago put I'm pretty sure I say what I use in the video!
Thanks for the reply bro
do you remember if the fender flares tape onto the edge of the trucks edging, or on the panel?
Hey man ik this is a old video but I am wanting to do the same as u did with the product u used what is the name of the product u used to stop the rust
This video helped me out, thanks
red coyote glad I could help man!
Howd it hold up over the years did it did it keep rusting or did you stop it?
It stopped it pretty good!
@@UpNorthOutdoorsCool yea I'm going to do something similar to my 97 did you do the same prep on the fronts? I got some on my front fenders near the bottom of the fenders.
That overspray. Ouch
well it looks like a good job young man and I hate to ask the same damn question but have you seen any rust and thanks for the video bud
Where did you find these flares
Do your tires rub any? What's the width of them? I'm wanting to run 33/12.50 or 35/12.50 but need to know if they'll rub.
TheTaylor12321 They rub a little bit if you turn em all the way but its not a very big deal. I'll have to check the width on them
Hey,I was wondering what web site did you use to get the fenders n lift kit, would greatly appreciate it
+BLKAUTOBOT I got the lift kit at www.roughcountry.com/ and the I think we got the fender flares off of www.carid.com/1996-ford-f-250-engine-components/trick-flow-specialties-track-max-hydraulic-roller-camshaft-91396869.html
What model flares did you go with?
Looks like bushwhacker
Hey man, wanted to ask you a question, I’m looking to add fender flares over a rusted spot on my truck. Do you still have this truck and if so do you still use those flares? When you did have them on did you ever have issues with the flares coming loose and knocking on the fender at speed?
Yeah I still have the truck. I never had problems with them loosening and knocking.
do you think a 37 would fit?
Where do the flares screw on to i have more rust than u im worried there wont be enough metal left to screw these on to
hey man. I have the same truck as you and i was wondering what was the exact pair of flares you got. and where did you get them from? cause you cant order from the bushwacker site. thanks.

UpNorthOutdoors Thanks

I know this was a long time ago so how's it holding up did rust appear again or has it stayed they same subbed btw!
Fresh Music it's held up great! I'm sure the rust has grown a little bit but it hasn't peaked out from the flairs yet
How many inches is that lift? Looks good
He said it was 4"
+1HellavaName Yep it's 4"
+UpNorthOutdoors do you think you could squeeze 40" tires with that lift?
What kind of shocks you go on the truck
Just rough country shocks. I'm probs going to get fox shocks or kings eventually
hey, i like the way those turned out! Im wondering how these hold up and look after paint, and also what specs are your tires?

where did you get that lt, bro?
MG Construction Online just look up bushwacker fender flares
I can't wait for the trend of people saying "Sick" to be over.
that would be rad
I have a stock 95 f250. Would i be able to fit a set of 315/75/r16 or 295/75/r16 tires on it without rub?
Probably. You would have to measure to make sure
yea. I think the 315's would be a stretch, being almost 35 inches tall. But i think 295 would fit fairly decent
Muito bom, tenho muita vontade de ter uma caminhoneta só para fazer isso aí.
kinda lazy my truck had that same problem I removed the rust filled the holes bondo and smoothed it out before placing my flares
Good for you buddy. That'll just rust out again
+UpNorthOutdoors no mine won't yours will. like I said I removed the rust , filled it in (welded new sheet metal to simplify for the dimwit) and finished with bondo before adding my flares , you never treated the inside of you're wheel wells thus it'll rust out and you'll never know GL
