Hello Kathy ❤. I am what you call a blue dot in a red state. It’s been surreal. My family has been within the same 20 square miles since, well, before statehood. The worst part about all of it is knowing that the community, family, faith leaders, community leaders voted for 45. I will never understand how or why we can all be so fundamentally different when we come from the same roots. It’s been on of my greatest heartaches. But! I’m not alone. We have a lot of work to do, but we’re doing it 💙💙. (Folks reading this on my side of the pond, I love you and go check your voter registration. Vote early. Vote in person. Stay strong)
It is good to not rush before a preformace. I was in a touring band. Whenever we had trouble getting to a preformance on time, it was rush off the bus and set up. Even if we had time to warm up, we tended to not do as well as those times when we got there plenty early and were relaxed. Getting there the day of is not a smart move.
