The reason this music was replaced by rap music...both long standing country music and rap music does not require a a select singing voice and instruments were replaced with contemporary music technology resulting in fewer musical instrument lessons, the technology has spawn a new generation of performers and their artistic product is consumed by > 95% of the buying population that raps along instead of singing horribly in the shower...

If the Government and the Media would go away and leave us alone, they are the ones fueling the hate in our Country!!!! Every single day on TV news they do their best to divide us in as many ways as possible. Going as far as to get our kids to hate !!!! We need to all pray everyday for the Lord to take our Country back into his arms. It starts with us. More National prayer. Look how they’re using abortion to divide us even further.

Look up on YT 25/6/4 Live at Tanglewood 1970 where Danny Seraphine is fumbling with drum kit while Terry starts the intro. One of great guitar performances of all time . Terry was an absolute monster on guitar and had a fine voice too. Too bad that after Terry’s untimely passing in Jan 1978 that Chicago lost direction under the tutelage of Peter Cetera and David Foster ( yuk) and got “ soft.” The post 1978 Chicago is mostly elevator music and sappy love songs. The 1970 Chicago absolutely rocked. Terry Kath was and is missed.

No synthesizers. Horns, guitars, drums, keyboard, maybe a cow bell. Two iconic bands. Wow I bet this was awesome to be there!!!!

I was thinking the exact same thing. And he was lead singer on many memorable songs… Beginnings, Saturday in the Park, Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is. When Chicago had the trio of singers, Lamm, Cetera, and the late, great Terry Kath, they were really blessed with talent.

Saw this Dynamic Duo in Virginia Beach. I love how in their hey day, they were in 2 different genres of music. If you were white - it was Chicago. If you were black - E. W. and F. I could be wrong about that, but it took 40 years for people to realize their styles are pretty much the same - Awesomely created big band music that makes you smile and dance!!
