Legends say this mission was planned entirely due to Jebadiah Kerman's toaster breaking down, and searching for alternative means to toast the bread.
Even for Kerbals, I'd say going to Eve or Arin (a planet in the NH mod) would be enough for bread.

The atmosphere of Sonnah is very strange, it contains a lot of oxigen, and cause very low heat during aerobrake.

Why was the solar circularization spread over so many burns?
+Jonah Beale because scientific equipment can handle only 1200 K, but near Ernus it's almost 1450 K, so I made burns until goo containers got 1170 K. Without scientific equipment this mission shouldn't be so difficult, for example craft can work without radiators

How did you keep Jebediah cool on EVA? For me, Ernus pretty much cooks Kerbals alive in about 10 seconds.
Old KSP version, kerbals could survive for 12 seconds. But after 1.1 update it's impossible to plant flag on Ernus without cheating
exalosm I'm pretty sure it's possible to put a flag on the dark side though.
But it's extremely difficult to land on the dark side on Ernus and survive :D
exalosm Well, you don't have a lot of options, do you? That's the point of Ernus - it's frickin' hard. You either boil your face off or land in the dark.
Landing in the dark actually becomes a lot easier with KER and flashlights.
Just get RadarAltimeter and hit that backquote key, displays how far you are from the surface with a blue meter. Works in 1.3.1

+Ohio Gamer KSP 1.05 made this mission impossible, say thanks to squad. by the way, in 1.05 fps with this craft drop to 0.1 so I will wait for 1.1.

It actually was possible to do this without overheating back when this was made, the heating mechanics used to work a bit different

Alright can someone please give me a step by step process of how to install new horizons, I can never get this thing to work I have about 8 to 10 mods running right now so i've installed them previously but this one is killing me, PLEASE HELP.
+Gary B Um, well idk much about ckan I still do all my mods manually but if thats how you do it.
1. Download Kopernicus and New horizons
2. extract zips to desktop, merge the gamedata folders, or move the mod folders into your gamedata folder in KSP (user/ program x86/steam/steamapps/common files/ ksp) if you use steam should be something like that
3.???
4. Profit!

OK I load Kopernicus into kerbal game data then load NH into kopernicus game data or kerbal game data? I tried this and just got the loading screen and waited 5 minutes and nothing. Im confused cuz i loaded my other mods w no prob.

Why didn´t you use any gravity assists? Wanted to make an unnecessary big rocket to show of? I mean Moh is so conveniently placed...
+Goroh35 Direct launch because I can! :D
Offtopic: If you need to go to another planet as fast as possible (in kerbin days), gravity assists will not be so benefitial. Million tons of xenon and kerbin-week burns will be more benefitial at that speeds. Also it is realistic to make long and efficient burns, that how real spacecrafts work (however, in real world we don't care much about the time of the mission, because we don't send people to Mars yet, for example).
This is KSP...and i hate long, bothersome burns...i went to a Planet comparably hard to Ernus (Deeper in the Kerbolar Gravity well and slightly more Gees with same size as Ernus) with full efficiency Planning, took 16 Kerbin Years or so...as only Gravity assist partner is just a Lava Giant with 2.2 Gees worth of Gravity and 1000 Km Radius, 5 Assists were required, then 4 assists of that Sungrazer, i did that as i can just Direct Launch, but my PC can't, the mission also took 5 Kerbals.

It was not deep space, it was elliptical orbit, but in new horizons mod Kerbin has small SOI and it looks like escape trajectory. By the way, from 1.0.4 version game changed a little bit
