    This was amazing to watch. It’s interesting to be allowed into a professional’s private practice time. Although lol, I could barely notice a difference between your practice and your performances. The level of skill is quite high. They say a professional will make what they do look easy. Well, this at no time looked easy, and was very beautiful to listen to. I enjoy very much watching someone play an instrument when they seem to very much enjoy playing it.

    • @defneakdemir4817
      @defneakdemir4817 5 ปีที่แล้ว +131

      It is not a crack. Yeah a sound comes out. It is because she has to exert pressure on the frog. When you are pushing or pulling the bow you should balance the force you are exerting on the bow so that the sound coming out won’t be unbalanced. If you have to push or pull your bow too quick without the right pressure the sound comes out like a racing car. To prevent this she balances the force on the frog. If you are familiar with Hilary Hahn’s practice videos too you will notice the same thing. Some violinists forget to realize the importance of this right balanced pressure on the bow. It really affects the musicality of a musician so every violinist should put some effort to get it right. Yeah the sound might be irritating for you but I think it is necessary. I was not aware of this kind of issue either, however your bowing technique is really important to be able to reflect a great musicality and tonality. I hope it did not offend you and this comment was helpful too. 😊

      Sonya, I would say that she gets a strong deep sound from the violin. Especially through youtube, it's hard to get a sense of the instrument, but I think even in person, the player makes the sound, 99%. Like, if she and I traded violins (and mine is decent though probably worth 1/100th what hers is) and you heard us each play something (and I'm a decent amateur), you would think my violin, played by her, sounded amazing, while hers, played by me, sounded "pretty good".

    I’ve been trying to learn this on my own. The music I got has no finger or position recommendations. Any music publisher you would advise on that matter or when you show the music at bottom of screen show finger and position marking?? I don’t mind watching over and over to guess the position though!

    That “crack” someone referred to is called articulation, or playing “from the string”. It’s more pronounced here or she is making sure to play especially cleanly. No smudged notes. It pops which is correct here

And, if the opportunity is given, could you please do a practice (tip) video for the Presto of the first Sonata of Bach? I think that I need more and new input and inspiration for this piece! I practiced it a lot, but this piece rests difficult!

    4.03 is there B flat, please?

    • @jb9652
      @jb9652 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you mean the sixth in the second D minor scale? If so, interesting question. In her score it's marked as a natural in the first D minor scale (starting on the D string) then a flat in the second. I think my score is the same, but I think they're wrong, and I think what she plays (B natural) is what Vivaldi wanted (not a harmonic D minor scale).
      I hope I've understood you correctly! 🙂
