She's the Chief every American wants running their department.
When will people learn, don't resist arrest! You're not going to win that fight, win in court, especially over a misdemeanor. I'm not excusing the beating, just stating the obvious.
Makes me sick to think some, who likely never vote, will use this as an excuse to destroy property. I sure hope if that happens any legitimate protestors photograph the culprits and turn them in. They may be agitators.

As a 70 yr old white man, I am sickened to see this type of violent abuse to another human being, but this being done by Police, and ones of the same racial ethnicity is beyond my ability to comprehend. These officers acted like a pack of wild dogs. They acted with Gang mentality. How could they mercilessly take turns beating a fellow human being to death? This infuriates me and sickens me. My condolences and sorrow go out to Tyre's mother and family. I'm so sorry for the needless lose of your dear son. May God see to it that these murders are punished appropriately.

It’s been my experience that black and brown police officers are harder on ppl that look like them because they have to prove to their white counterparts that they are not like black and brown ppl in the community. @@Erin_Bee I travel to Memphis a lot for work and when I’m in a Memphis Proper I do not speed and am very cognitive of my driving as to not draw attention from the policemen there! I’m white and the Memphis Police Department is mostly black officers and a good portion of them look like body builders and they scare me! This video was very hard to watch because 5 grown men certainly could have gotten Tyre under control. The worst thing I’ve seen repeatedly is that when black males are being pulled over they immediately shout their innocence and try to get away and Every time it ends horribly for them! I wish that he had complied and all that would’ve happened is Tyre would’ve had a bad night going to jail but he would have been able to post bail and be out either later that night or the next day and he would’ve been alive! I’ve always taught my kids to be polite and answer yes sir or yes ma’am if pulled over always hold the steering wheel with both hands and to comply to everything the officers ask! These officers were in such a rage I don’t know what caused that I would like to see the whole video from the very first of them seeing what caused the 5 police officers to be chasing him.
