Kanwal Naseer or Kanwal Hameed was a Pakistani Newscaster at Pakistan Television Network, having the honor of being Pakistan's first female news presenter and anchor. She made her first appearance for PTV on 26th November, 1964. Kanwal made her media debut at the age of 6 or 7 on radio. She worked for state-run Pakistan Television Corporation for nearly 50 years. In 2015, she was awarded the Pride of Performance by President of Pakistan. She died on March 25, 2021 in Islamabad, Pakistan after a brief illness.She was working on FM radio till her last.

Her last sentence of the program made me teary. She was, is and always will be the BEST. What a wonderful and beautiful life and career she had. Allah Almighty had his special blessings on her and she was right that nobody ever disliked or hated her. She was the face of our childhood and always gave out this motherly feeling as if we knew her personally. May Allah Almighty Bless her soul, the highest rank in Jannah till eternity, Ameen Sum Ameen. جب 2018 میں میں نے ؛ FM پروگرام سسنا شروع کیا تھا مجھے بہت پسند آیا میڈم کنول نسیر کا پروگرام پرانے گانے سہانے 😢میں بہت انتظار کرتا تہا دو بجے پروگرام چلتا تہا پہر وقت گزرتا رہا 2021 اگیا اس سال میں ایک ایسا دن آیا تھا جو مجھ اس دن پروگرام سننے کے لیے ایک منٹ کی بھی میڈم کنول نسیر کی آواز نہیں آی، وہدن گزارہ دوسرے دن بھی یہی ہوا پہر میں نے فیسبک پر سرچ کرنے لگا تو پتا چلا کل اس کی طبیعت خراب ہونے کی وجہ سے اس دنیا سے چلی گئی اللہ تعالیٰ میڈم کنول نصیر صاحبہ کو جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے آمین ثم آمین وہ دن ہم کبھی بھی نہیں بہلا سکتے جس دن ہمارے کان میں میڈم کی آواز پڑتی تھی
