Had to pop my comment cherry for this . Found u about a month ago and glad I did. The Fuego v battle2 vid made me take a ride(s) to Tackle Direct...twice. Thanks for all the knowledge Mr. Doo.
I can honestly say I appreciate you're professional unbiased opinion, you're extensive experience is cool. I hope others appreciate how much you give to us. I'm in Nebraska so I could care less about the bigger spinning reels and salt proofing systems. But I watch every one because fishing is a passion of mine and I find the internal mechanics interesting. Also I've been with you're Channel for a while and will continue to support you.
Just recently subscribed 2 both this channel and J&H tackle. Really like enjoy the help information on both channels. Its nice to see the reels your looking to buy in someones hands gives you a good idea what you will be getting.
Love your vids man. You honestly helped me decide on my last few reel purchases and the differences in gear materials, seals, etc. I went from 100% penn to actually becoming somewhat of a Daiwa fanboy. Keep it up. Some reels I would like to see torn down, the Torque II and the JDM Certate HD.
I was very interested in putting my reels into pieces, servicing them and putting them together. 5 years ago I had a go. I put a very cheap Shimano reel into pieces and I completely ruin it. I said I would never touch any of my reels again. After I started watching you, the feeling came back. I was too encouraged by your videos that it is very easy, I can do it and I give it another go. I tried to service my Penn spinfisher V 4500 LL. I am much better now although I did some small mistakes. I put too much grease it's liveliner mechanism doesn't work as it used to but I'm happy I did much better than last time and I have the courage that I will do it perfectly soon. Thanks to tackle adviser and his videos!
After watching your reviews on the Daiwa Tatula LT, the Saltist Back Bay Caster and now the Theory, Iam selling my unused NASCI and going to go with Daiwa. Nice to have an alternative to Shimano. Keep up the great reviews, they definitely give us good info before buying a lemon.
As a retired fisherman, I can't imagine spending this kind of money on a reel. Don't get me wrong, it is probably a spectacular reel, but so are my old Abu Garcia Ambassadors, and old Shimano 2000 series spins, the Ambassadors are at least 25 years old, the Shimano about 20. The newest reel I own is a Shimano Casitas which I have not received yet, lol. I also have an beautiful old Abu Gold Max 2 speed baitcaster that needs service, but I don't think anyone has even heard of them! I love your channel. I fished for bass for many years, and qualified for the NC State Bassmaster Championship a few times. I haven't fished for about 15 years, but after a pretty severe heart attack a month ago, I realised that what was missing in my life was the water and the fish that helped get my YaYas out. I am buying a peddle kayak, probably tomorrow, and will use it as part of my cardiac rehab. I miss the excitement of that twitch at the end of the rod, the blow ups on a Topwater frog or a Pop-R, I miss seeing the sun rise over the water, and seeing a school of minnows dancing on the surface, chased up by a big bass. Thank you for helping to reincite that passion!
Based on your overview, I purchased one. I took it out on a halibut charter trip yesterday and it handled the Halibuts like a beast ! Very smooth reel.
Thanks! I had a lack of vid posting back around july...Building my vid studio and bench is what it was all about. And this is the first go with it. Glad you liked it.
Interesting reel. I have a 2600c silver that works just fine. sat in garage for over 30 years. took it out last month and was catching cocktail blues. didn't recondition reel and used the mono that was on the reel when I put it away. says a lot for the quality of Diawa.
I've handled a few of these over $200 reels and not one has felt better than the BG. Especially when considering cost to performance. My reels spend quite a bit of time being soaked in the surf and haven't had any issues so that's what carries the most weight for me. Thanks for that lol. I only found the BGs after your videos. Now I have em from 2000 to 8000 lol.
After watching the whole video I find that this is the reel I want to replace my Sustain. Thanks for all the helpful tips , your content loaded with useful information helps us out more than you think.
How did i miss this one? Lol you know I'm always watching, luckily i saw your last call post and knew when i clicked and the like wasn't highlighted I hadn't watched.
thanks for thinking of the youtubers!!!! you are quite the surgeon... dont know ho you got here but enjoy all the vids...thanks. i subscribe to Tackle Advisors and J&H
Love the channel, keep the vids coming! I've learned more than I'll probably ever be able to remember. Unfortunately, it has caused me to be more picky when it comes to buying reels, which has also translated to spending more...
Thanks for the knowledgeable info! I really enjoy your videos man. Especially the comparison ones. I also really enjoyed your videos about homemade tackle to catch more fish! Your scooby doo rig got me subbed.
Oh, man! This is sweet looking reel! I just love beefy reels. Sustain and Ballistic/Fuego LT reels are nice and i love them, but it's kinda hard to pair them with heavier rod. They are just to light for balancing setup in right manner.
Thanks for throwing this in the mix Scooby, sold my Stradic Ci4+ back in summer as it really wasnt doing it for me, had the Old Ballistic Ex couple years, which was a fantastic tool, So giving the Theory some serious thought 👍
Done ! I've not been able to make a decision on reel selection for my 10ft Daiwa Sandstorm, and this looks beautiful. Trying to balance out the perfect light tackle combo for going toe to toe with Kingfish down here in Australia.
I just added the 6k to my arsenal 2 days ago...........I didn't know what to expect.......but damn..............rock solid and crazy light........6 ounces lighter than my saltiga for the same size reel and seemingly as solid.
@@TackleAdvisors The Ballistic LT 5000 became my main gear for False Albacore fishing.. the first high end reel i bought was the Saltiga 5K 2010 model I used for awhile and i felt a bit heavy for me then i stepped down a bit lighter is the Catalina 4K for strippers at Canal and inshore albies... i caught roughly 20 albies in this year on the Ballistic LT 5K i love how smooth and light it is.. @@raymondvo7758 nice dude! I just got a ballistic lt 6000 and am blown away so far. Couldn't believe that it's saragossa 6k sized but weighs almost half a pound less. I paired it with a 11 2-8 ounce rated tournament ballistic for the first outing and 23 ounces total its insanely light and versatile. Just need something of size to chew what I launch
Done bro. Also great around reel size and I think the knob like this one would be great. Anyway thanks for all the post man. Helps to know what's really on the market.
That's a sweet looking reel. I'd love to win it for sure. That podcast you did with EliasV the other day was a good listen too. Keep up the good stuff man.
In "theory" it looks really good spinning reels, and I believe "practically" it will the best spinning reel I could have one day .. wish me luck to get this awesome give away reel.. thank you Tackle Advisors for your great unboxing and a complete review..
Done! I have to get a saltwater/salmon reel, I bought a Daiwa Procyon 4000 for it but I had to return it because the reel seat was just a tad too small to fit it. That reel looks sick!
Would love a shot at using this reel. Looks like itd be a beast for tog jigging and light surf/inshore applications. Currently on the fence and looking to pull the trigger on a ballistic LT 5000... And rogers's comment is hilarious!
in it to win it! been a sub to you and josh for awhile now. funny, you released this vid before my little ballistic overview, a few subs are already saying 'TA said Theory's better Ish, when you are gonna review THAT'. thx for setting the bar too high bro! Great video as always. Keep up the good work. I enjoyed the podcast with Elias, shame it wasn't longer though. Have you ever considered that sort of format for yourself?

Cool. Just had to comment lol. Liking these daiwas after getting my first bg on the basis of your review and a in the hand test at my local tackle shop.
I bought a spheros 6k sw a couple years ago for speed jigging on the head boats in south Florida. It had a very noticeable rotor wobble and the drag clicker was very weak but other than that it was a strong performer. After a year, the reel lost some of its smoothness and the rotor wobble and drag clicker eventually got on my nerves enough to start looking for a replacement. When I found out about the new ballistics, I thought I found the perfect reel. The guy at the store told me that it was more of an inshore reel and tried to steer me towards a Saltist. But I heard problems about the zinc gears so. I ended up buying a 6k ballistic. After 3 months, I gotta say that honestly the spheros felt like it had more cranking power and was more solidly built.
