We 100% want a Caleb return season
if this was a 39 day game, the story would have been a lot different since kalebs move would’ve had time to marinate. it seemed like this vote was 1-2 days after the last one
Easily the biggest problem with the 26 day format, never any time to breathe, those rest days in between everything were major key for letting the game play develop, because there's no time to recover after tribal no one's overly willing to change their mind because there's been no extra time to process things
Kelley is AMAZING and I love hearing her takes on everything!! Would love to see her play again 🤩❤️🔥
Nothing against Bruce personally, but I wish people from the current season would not comment so much during live discussions. Their presence can make it difficult for commentators to share their candid opinions
Wentworth was nice about it, but she's completely right: her idol play was absolutely more impressive than Kaleb's SITD. She's still the record holder as far as I'm concerned.
I would say it's moreso two different records. One is the most votes negated by an idol play and one is most negated by the SITD. Agreed that Kelley's play is much more impressive overall since technically anyone can negate votes with the SITD as it's an advantage everyone has, whereas Kelley had to not only find the idol but also know when to use it. There's still some good gameplay to Kaleb's negated votes though, he still needed to have the know how to play the SITD and it's thanks to the work he did building up his relationship with Emily that caused her to key him in on having to play the SITD.

Katurah basing her entire game off Bruce hatred is a top meme, it's like "I WANNA WORK WITH KALEB SO BAD" up until she finds out he was covering a secret for Bruce and then it's curtains for their potential partnership, the best move would've been trying to flip Austin because he would've been the only one with a target on his back of the 3 Rebas to go home at that point and the odds are he wouldn't have risked throwing his game away for rocks at that point with that many advantages in his pocket, instead now Katurah's traded being the bottom of one alliance to be the bottom of another
This is true but she did what was best for her game in the long run!
She is smart to stay with Belo numbers and vote Caleb.
It will keep her name off parchment longer.
Now the next order of big targets is Jake, Bruce on Belo so she is shielded from that but now Julia and Dee think they can trust her as well
But she DIDN’T reveal her hand, unlike Jake. Kaleb was just a smoke screen for Katurah. Even if the OG Belos are upset next week, they can’t target Katurah because they wouldn’t have the Rebas or Emily to do it Think about it. They would rather go for someone like Jake because he’s now shown that he’s untrustworthy. Katurah is just playing dumb at the moment but her edit completely makes sense as a UTR winner.
We all knew kaleb wasint going to last long but still sad.

Hard disagree on Katurah making the wrong move. Ultimately it just comes down to Jake’s plan being a bad plan. The plan is not “let’s flip one of the Reba and guaranteed keep Kaleb”. It’s “let’s go to rocks for Kaleb who we’ve known for like 6 days in the first merge vote of the season”. Nobody should make this move imo, you just cut Kaleb here, could’ve been a number but oh well it’s not a big deal. On top of that, she’s getting this information that Kaleb has been lying to her for about half the time she’s been aligned with him about Bruce’s idol. This is information he should’ve dropped to her immediately at the merge, not when it became convenient for him and he needs her for a vote. Katurah now knows that if they go Belu strong, she’s at the bottom of that structure since the entire Belu tribe is intentionally keeping information from her. So where can she feasibly go from here? Reba is her only option. Voting with them here is a good way to start a conversation and if they don’t bite, at least Jake has now burned them and will likely be in the firing line before Katurah. I think she made the best move she could’ve made, though it’ll probably be a rocky path for her regardless of what she had done.
Great points. I agree. But I think there's still one question to explore. Should Katurah have told Jake that she is not going with the plan, so that he votes Kaleb as well? Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure.
I guess after this Katurah is lower on the Reba list of targets for sure. I think Belo people are more likely to target her.
@@Alex.1Q84 I'm guessing there probably wasn't time, I feel like she would've attempted a flip on Jake if she had the time to. Most likely it was a last minute thing where she decides to go with the Rebas.
@@Alex.1Q84Nope. SOLELY because she has to guarantee that someone else is the target this week. Jake now moves down the totem pole and below Katurah. Why would Reba want to get rid of Katurah now that they see her as a number? Jake exposed his hand but Katurah didn’t here. Katurah is the much better player haha.

Kaleb’s million dollar mistake was cluing in Katurah on Bruce’s idol too early…….Austin was Reba strong and wanting to abide by Dee’s wishes so there was no way they would have tried to pull her in after already pulling Jake in. I wish we could have seen the tie vote happen but there was no way Katurah was gonna go to rocks for those two….…I’ll settle for Kaleb on a Game Changers or Second Chances season!!

I think he was too late to clue her in. He needed to drop that information immediately but witholding that information shows Katurah that she’s not a priority for him and now she also can’t trust the Belu people. If she knows from the start, maybe she tries to flip the Rebas on Jake here and maybe she’s successful. Maybe she even pushes harder against last episode’s vote and gets something going there so Kaleb wouldn’t have needed luck to survive. Kaleb completely mismanaged that relationship.
Regardless though, Katurah is never going to rocks for him, that’d just be dumb. He’s not that important to her game that she needs him moving forward. There’s plenty of game to play and plenty of potential allies to pull in.
@@handsoaphandsoap For context Bruce found the idol on Day 12 and last nights vote took place on Day 14, it's not like in past seasons where there's 3 days per episode so there could've easily been upwards of a 6 day gap between Bruce finding the idol and Kaleb and Jake telling Katurah that information, it was really only one or two days at most that she was kept in the dark on things and I would think you could argue there was no good time for Kaleb or Jake to tell her between actually entering the Merge, being split onto different tribes and separated from Katurah while she was at the sanctuary, and then both having to scramble to save their lives through Day 13 since neither was on the team that won immunity, essentially Katurah blew up her relationships with both of them over not telling her something about Bruce within a 48 hour period of time to join a side that she herself admits she had NO relations to whatsoever or reason to believe they'll do anything OTHER than ALSO put her on the bottom like she's been this whole time apparently

@@syreetathibodeaux6114 that I 100% agree with they definitely made that part clear in the edit, what he should've actually done was lied about that and said the ring thing was serious and that was how Bruce found the idol in the first place that would've been the most epic 3D chess move ever and I bet Katurah actually would've bought it too if he said it straight faced 😂

Jake’s Dream Tribal🔥was amazing! And I was so excited to see if the Rock 🪨 Draw & scared 😱 Austin might happen!! Even though it didn’t I’m glad production gave us that unique moment ❤
@@freshofbreathair1476 no they used the exact same footage from the actual tribal, the difference is they showed Kaleb's vote for Julie and Dee's vote for Kaleb which they excluded during the actual tribal, I assume maybe they were hoping people would mistakenly think the pair of dark skinned hands voting for Julie was Katurah's but they were obviously Kaleb's from the ring and sleeves on the shirt
I wish RHAP would discourage active players from participating in the chat/announcing themselves. It seems like every episode, Rob is commenting on how “Bruce is in the chat” and I think it really puts the guests in an uncomfortable position to be able to speak freely about their opinions on him and his gameplay. And with Bruce being such a polarizing character and focal point of the show, him making his presence known every week is negatively impacting the coverage - and honestly, it’s pretty inconsiderate of him to be doing this.
Calling Sifu's Kamehameha "the force" hurt me 🫠
This season is so electrifying! I loved this episode also, even if objectivly the boots were predictable. I really care less about that, and care the most about seeing the strategic relationships and conversations, and thought processes. I loved the stakes of the challenge. The edit was great.
It’s so funny to hear Kelly talk about kellie it feels almost 3rd person it’s funny.
i usually look to these podcassts to help me understand the episode better, but frankly this time i may be even more lost and confused. that having been said, i'm a HUGE Kelley Wentwoth fan and loved hearing her takes. i know she says she's retired from Survivor, but i would absolutely love to see her play again.
I agree, this episode had a lot of speculation talk. What could have happened isn’t as much fun for me as what still can happen.
In hindsight Dee should've let Julie go, she would've made a much better advocate for her winning as mayor of Ponderosa, now Emily's got the ideal advocate in Kaleb as mayor if she can get to the end of the game
I felt that Kaleb and Jake should’ve thrown Bruce under the bus about the idol. They should’ve said “Bruce absolutely told us not to tell you, and knowing how volatile he is, we didn’t know what to do. But it was all Bruce”.
Rob, yes bring back Kaleb!!!
I loved her saying she didn't play that many days with Savage hahaha She took him out so soon, she can't even assess the resemblance between Bruce and him. Just queen stuff 😄❤
Jake wanted to work with Kaleb… but Katurah didn’t trust Jake and Kaleb!
She did trusted him, they were actually working together and she was one of the few people to be against voting for him last episode (if not the only). I think she got hurt because he didn't told her about Bruce's idol.
Why didn’t they get Drew out instead of Sifu? He is a way bigger threat and definitely is more connected with the Reba alliance compared to Sifu. This was the opportunity with him separated from his 3 main allies.

I had the biggest crush on Wentworth when she played.
For idols vs. shot in the dark, I'd say for both you need the skill of reading the room in order to know when to play it. What makes the idol "better" in my eyes is you had to go out and find it, versus the shot in the dark which is given to everyone.

They could have told Katura about Bruce’s idol, but why let her know that Jake knew? If he had lied and said he didn’t know then she wouldn’t have felt so on the outs

Some of these Katurah takes are so misguided.
It’s not about her targeting Kaleb, it’s about her saving herself.
Why would she go to rocks and potentially be eliminated?!
There’s zero answer to this question that justifies her not voting Kaleb.
The idea that she votes Julie (upsetting Reba) and THEN could vote Kaleb (upsetting Belo) is ridiculous.
Katurah 100% made the right call.
Katurah voting out Kaleb makes sense if you look at her train of thoughts... Bruce painted a target on her as hesitant on voting out Kaleb prior and it bugged her so voting out Kaleb becomes an option thus it discredits Bruce but to take the shot she needed to feel like she wasn't actually his number 1 and that became apparent this episode.
Although i think katura made the wrong decision turning away that caleb/jake alliance, i feel like from what we were shown, caleb and jake didnt really set up the idol story well..
Instead of an apology for withholding info, just blame it all on bruce! Take the blame off of them and more onto bruce, isnt that the end goal anyways? I feel like they dropped the ball with katura a little bit
I think Katurah voted out Kaleb because she was on the outs with Belo. Him revealing Bruce’s idol later on proves he was already more in with Belo than she was. That on top of being a big target already Kaleb wasn’t worth it to her

Maybe there will be a twist 😂, say there is chance they will give them a shot to get back into the game, seeing all the twists this season

Keturah realized that she doing far worse in the game than she realized premerge and that scared her into playing for the present rather than the future
there is little time to recover after a big tribal. I believe that's the bad part of this 26 days for the players. I miss the 39 days format. Australian survivor is doing a better job this last 2 years.
Publicly it seemd unpopular to admit you like Caleb. Katurah
was scared of being disliked by some powerful players and then Bruce instigating it.

Survivor must've really passed me by, because I thought this was truly boring TV. Both tribal outcomes were so predictable and the extra runtime just made this one a chore for me, and my wife (Who is a big fan) to get through. Thanks for the pod, as always.
I like hearing Kelley’s input but once she knew Bruce was in the chat all her comments towards him were so soft and she tip toed too much. C’mon we want to know the hard truth! That’s what makes her tik toks so fun to watch. That was disappointing on this interview

Survivor went off the tracks at season 39. Race seems to rear its ugly head when minorities are around. And jeff wants to drag it out every time.
Nobody is looking at Emily,and even though i like her,she is ideal for a no votes finalist.
