    Hello,
Today I learned that there is a term used for someone that is more in the middle of the Extrovert, Introvert Spectrum; Ambivert!! 😊
I enjoyed listening to the podcast.
    Thank you!

I always thought that too. Then people started railroading me in conversations which made me pull back, then I could feel their frustration and so that would cue the awkwardness. It is a vicious cycle.

Biggest takeaway: gestures aren't always bad. Italians catch tons of flack for using their hands all the time. Vanessa just showed that gestures are a great way to better convey our emotions. They help us come across as more charismatic and warm. No one likes cold people. Body language plays a huge role in all conversations. 60% of conversations are non verbal, meaning that body language is way more important than words.
Another fun fact is that we need to be extremely passionate about what we say and use emotions. People will always remember us for how we made them feel and what emotions we conveyed. That right there is quite powerful.

Calling it “The Community Game” versus calling it “The Wall Street Game” completely changes the context/objective, and therefore it would make perfect sense that the outcomes would be totally different… that really shouldn’t be surprising.

Vanessa is the living example of self control, polished and polite, listening and nodding, speaking fast and precisely. Personally I would have liked a bit of messiness (hesitations, less confluence between you two) and a slower speed so we project ourselves more into the conversation.

      Hi,
I love everything that you have to share with all of us outside.
I thank you from my deep heart the great job and time invested to make possible these helpful podcasts.
Here my analysis; what makes a person or people to be banned as “ awkward “
Aren’t them people that see life in a different way; and hence they behave different?
I’m wondering if they see very empathetic people as“ awkward ones”.
I believe every behavior deserves to be respected without labeling or giving names.
      Respectfully

Regarding the popular people being those who have a longer list of people they like, how do we know that they don’t just like more people BECAUSE more people like them? I have to imagine if people like you, you’re more likely to like them, so how do we know which is the chicken and which is the egg?

This reinforces ableism. If your ‘deep intentions’ were sincere, you wouldn’t be trying to gain an edge to have everyone’s ear through calculated gestures, but questioning why society rewards charisma and neurotypical cues over character.

The most popular in my high school were the rich kids. Is it because they had more confidence, the nicer clothes, more money to be involved in activities?

It's because they likely have had healthy families and childhoods. Poor people have unhealthy mindsets and beliefs hence why they stay poor. Unfortunately, that stress gets transferred to the child.

    • @deathbychicken
      @deathbychicken 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

We are programmed to defer to wealth by social influence. Gates, Musk, Bezos, etc. are granted status, by their wealth. Those rich kids had the same fears, insecurities, and self-doubts as everyone else. Take away the material wealth, they are the same as everyone else.

Nothing breeds confidence more than exposure to confidence. Different social situations, networking and exposure to charasmatic people, being taught correct behaviour .... But it doesnt mean that they are any less messed up than poor kids - opposite ends of the same stick.

I’m from Kansas City. My soulmate which I’ve been with for 30 years is a dear heart and she wants me to be happy and I want her to be happy just the same. We both agree that our sex life has changed. I need another woman in my life who will sweep me off my feet, a sweetheart! My soulmate is to but I want a live vibrant woman who can give that to me, and I’ll treat her like a queen, love out there to her whoever she may be.

I really love this podcast. The information is incredible and I love Dr. Axe and the questions that he asked. However, you guys both lost me when you came to analyzing certain people starting with former presidents. I thought it was hilarious when you gave president Trump a 10/10 in competence based solely on his high level of hand gestures. But!instead of even mentioning President Obama, whom we all know is probably the most charismatic former president in recent history. Then you contrasted Joe Biden’s stoicism. I saw you present that same research on another video. Isn’t that called implicit bias? Other than that, you both offer fantastic information!
