Thank you for including a time stamp I. Your comment - that is sooo helpful, and I always appreciate when people do this. Also, I’m glad Dr. Axe is a believer! His platform can reach so many who need to hear the truth. ❤
Hello, Today I learned that there is a term used for someone that is more in the middle of the Extrovert, Introvert Spectrum; Ambivert!! 😊 I enjoyed listening to the podcast. Thank you!
I always thought that too. Then people started railroading me in conversations which made me pull back, then I could feel their frustration and so that would cue the awkwardness. It is a vicious cycle.
I think that's a question in your mind when interacting with someone, not an actual question to that person. Otherwise, the response may not be what you expect for whatever reason.
Thank you Dr.Axe!! Love to watch your videos, learn a lot Love this!! Thank you Vanessa for sharing all your knowledge really soaked it up. Want to go farther yes, please bring Vanessa on more!!
Biggest takeaway: gestures aren't always bad. Italians catch tons of flack for using their hands all the time. Vanessa just showed that gestures are a great way to better convey our emotions. They help us come across as more charismatic and warm. No one likes cold people. Body language plays a huge role in all conversations. 60% of conversations are non verbal, meaning that body language is way more important than words. Another fun fact is that we need to be extremely passionate about what we say and use emotions. People will always remember us for how we made them feel and what emotions we conveyed. That right there is quite powerful.
This really was amazing! I'm an introvert...well, ambivert😅. I leard a lot and picked out somethings I can work on and help others with as well. Thank you!!
Calling it “The Community Game” versus calling it “The Wall Street Game” completely changes the context/objective, and therefore it would make perfect sense that the outcomes would be totally different… that really shouldn’t be surprising.
Thank you so much guys for your time and for sharing your helpful and insightful studies . Changes I am willing to implement the “Art of communication”
Vanessa is the living example of self control, polished and polite, listening and nodding, speaking fast and precisely. Personally I would have liked a bit of messiness (hesitations, less confluence between you two) and a slower speed so we project ourselves more into the conversation.
Hi, I love everything that you have to share with all of us outside. I thank you from my deep heart the great job and time invested to make possible these helpful podcasts. Here my analysis; what makes a person or people to be banned as “ awkward “ Aren’t them people that see life in a different way; and hence they behave different? I’m wondering if they see very empathetic people as“ awkward ones”. I believe every behavior deserves to be respected without labeling or giving names. Respectfully
Great interview. I love Vanessa. I was wondering if she could reach even further into peoples minds and touch a bit on the topic of childhood traumas…. This is what shapes our character and personas… in some cases unfortunately very skewed.
As far as the introvert extrovert thing goes, I used to think I was outgoing. As I get older, I find myself liking that "Down Time" to collect myself and my thoughts. Where does that put me?
I went to her site and took the test but it seems her site is a bit broken... They asked to confirm my email and I basically got a 404 error on that; they told me I was competent but gave me the information for "The Charisma Zone".
Regarding the popular people being those who have a longer list of people they like, how do we know that they don’t just like more people BECAUSE more people like them? I have to imagine if people like you, you’re more likely to like them, so how do we know which is the chicken and which is the egg?
This reinforces ableism. If your ‘deep intentions’ were sincere, you wouldn’t be trying to gain an edge to have everyone’s ear through calculated gestures, but questioning why society rewards charisma and neurotypical cues over character.
Vanessa you are incredible I love you but i would ask you to slow down a little as every word you utter it weighs i like your simplicity and knowledge and the way you appeal to me which you name it charismatic
The most popular in my high school were the rich kids. Is it because they had more confidence, the nicer clothes, more money to be involved in activities?
It's because they likely have had healthy families and childhoods. Poor people have unhealthy mindsets and beliefs hence why they stay poor. Unfortunately, that stress gets transferred to the child.
We are programmed to defer to wealth by social influence. Gates, Musk, Bezos, etc. are granted status, by their wealth. Those rich kids had the same fears, insecurities, and self-doubts as everyone else. Take away the material wealth, they are the same as everyone else.
Nothing breeds confidence more than exposure to confidence. Different social situations, networking and exposure to charasmatic people, being taught correct behaviour .... But it doesnt mean that they are any less messed up than poor kids - opposite ends of the same stick.
I’m from Kansas City. My soulmate which I’ve been with for 30 years is a dear heart and she wants me to be happy and I want her to be happy just the same. We both agree that our sex life has changed. I need another woman in my life who will sweep me off my feet, a sweetheart! My soulmate is to but I want a live vibrant woman who can give that to me, and I’ll treat her like a queen, love out there to her whoever she may be.
When talking about the most popular kinds in school… isn’t it possible that the kids who had the longest lists (Of kids that they liked) had the longest list’s as a consequence of being popular, and not as the cause?
The host should've taken some tips from her before his introduction of her. He went on to do exactly the opposite of what she said in hers! Take thine own medicine, Doctor. 😂
I really love this podcast. The information is incredible and I love Dr. Axe and the questions that he asked. However, you guys both lost me when you came to analyzing certain people starting with former presidents. I thought it was hilarious when you gave president Trump a 10/10 in competence based solely on his high level of hand gestures. But!instead of even mentioning President Obama, whom we all know is probably the most charismatic former president in recent history. Then you contrasted Joe Biden’s stoicism. I saw you present that same research on another video. Isn’t that called implicit bias? Other than that, you both offer fantastic information!
I didn't know that Dr Axe is a spiritual person. His description of raising a child is inspiring.❤ 36:00

Love Vanessa! She is so humble, knowledgeable and authentic 👍🏻
Hello,
Today I learned that there is a term used for someone that is more in the middle of the Extrovert, Introvert Spectrum; Ambivert!! 😊

Thank you!
People like others who act and enjoy similar things that they do. Find your tribe there’s always others that think the same way you do!
So true
Loved the video. I found the warmth is key to connecting with others.Thank you!
I always thought that too. Then people started railroading me in conversations which made me pull back, then I could feel their frustration and so that would cue the awkwardness. It is a vicious cycle.
The scale is so smart, easy to listen to, interesting, thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge
"What can I ask you to like you more?" - I loved this!
I think that's a question in your mind when interacting with someone, not an actual question to that person.

I learned to be happy alone.but I need to be with people too.

People like beautiful people and those who have resources
Time, focus and developed skills are also resources.
Calling it “The Community Game” versus calling it “The Wall Street Game” completely changes the context/objective, and therefore it would make perfect sense that the outcomes would be totally different… that really shouldn’t be surprising.
No, the rules of the game didn't change. Peoples interpretation of how to act did.
she literally said the rules were the same. Only the names were different.
Loved the episode.😊 Thank you, very helpful!
Loved the “find things to like about people more” I think we can all do better in that area. Thank u both for a wonderful informative podcast❤️🙏🏻
Thank you! Loved this podcast!!
Thank you for the encouragement!!
OMG! I absolutely LOVE Vanessa! She is so Amazing! I love her sense of humor too:)❤❤❤
Thank you so much guys for your time and for sharing your helpful and insightful studies . Changes I am willing to implement the “Art of communication”
Thoroughly enjoyed this!!
I saw her at TED now when I talk to people over the phone I smile and I get different reaction..

Thanks so much for this video. I have a question, what does it mean when someone crosses their arms during a conversation? I look forward to learning.
Love Vanessa she’s so great

Loved this interview ❤

Fabulous interview🎉
I'm really serious and I think it puts people off....
When I was at a party. I felt like I'm Invisible. I have changed a little at a time to were I part of the conversation at a party. That took work.
This was great also never knew you are introvert you seem very extroverted
Great information….Thank you for sharing✨

Ty so much!!
I also stand when I meet people online as it is easier for me to speak when standing :)

excelent !! thanks
Love Vanessa. Wanted to watch this. Couldn’t take the host interruptions. Lasted 28 min. I tried.

Facts, also how many rich people attend Harvard? Did they get there bc they're smarter than the rest or did they have connections

Yup i was reading about trauma and how a lot of our communications suffer due to it

Could be , i also think the same way
Lewis interrupts too much, trying to finish people's sentences - Its become a lil annoying. He's super nice but interrupts too often.

The host should've taken some tips from her before his introduction of her. He went on to do exactly the opposite of what she said in hers! Take thine own medicine, Doctor. 😂
The most popular were the mean girls for some reason.
A slow head nod 3 times.
Slightly tilt one's head.
Interesting....
Am I the only person who feel like Vanessa is kinda attracted to him? I watched her other videos before...
👍🏼👀👍🏼
I don’t think myself as a victim I feel fine with myself

It is not bad overall, but terribly simplistic..and I am an expert in communucation
"Me... me... me..."
If you need a video instruction on how to be liked ...
Help people.
I don't like any ted talk, it always has an obvious message that is already common knowledge, surrounded with unnecessary drama.
Vanessa I’d love to meet you sometime your so beautiful just talking to you and I love listening to you your sweet.
Renee brown is not at all an authentic speaker. She has a few ideas and that’s it.
How the f--- do you say anything in "body language"?
I don't appreciate politics into this about jor Biden or Trump.
Trump has a 10 out of 10 competency and warmth? see ya Pal, You just lost all credibility
