Hey Defyn, feedback on this one, replay is fine, just dont keep pausing, feels like we can still learn the same by not stopping the footage the whole time
Maybe DEFYN could remedy this by only having one longer pause, explain everything, then let it move again for a while. That's a lot easier to watch compared to him pausing every 5 seconds.
The replay segment you did was quite nice, i liked you showing how quick the enemy was actually going. "6v6 every game, and 4 of them will be ju288c's." I've been complaining about 6.0ish matchmaker being awful for like a full year now man. It's been this way for ages and I honestly am doubting at this point that gaijin will ever fix it. That whole BR range is cursed because of it.
Its such a goddamn shame, because my favorite plane is at that tier, the Tempest mk 2. Superprops are so fun to fly but 6v2ing the two poor German fighters then spending the rest of the game chasing JU 288s which might very well just end up onetapping you with MG 151s.
I used to get them 6 vs.6 types of games but since the roadmap thing they have done. I have been playing the 6.3 American P51 and I get full rosters of teams. Also have been playing this premium F-7F-3 a lot as well and I have not got any of the small match-up games and just get either 6.0-7.0 teams and or 5.7-6.7 teams and more often 5.3-6.3 teams and it's pretty nice from my experience from there special little road map changes. Maybe you play at a low count of player base time during the night/day or whatever.
Really like the breakdown in the replay system. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this. To add a little to the spitfire kill, he could have avoided the attack (or at least made it harder) by rolling over and reversing his turn. At the speed DEFYN was going it would have been difficult to reverse the diving turn and get guns on still.
He tried to do that, but that's what Defyn means by 'he reacted late, then too early'. If the spitty was watching, he should have been angling gently into Defyn to try and cut perpendicular, then sharply turn under and up just before Defyn had a solution @ 800m+/- CD. Absolutely zero chance Defyn would be able to pull anywhere near hard enough to engage. By trying to cut under with no speed, the wrong angle and _while Defyn was still 1.4km out,_ Defyn was able to easily pull, follow the turn and rake him down.
It is sad the the textures for this plane are still in 2k. Most planes have gotten 4k textures in early 2022, but this here has been forgotten (like the user skins you can download). Bug report on their community website is called: "F7F-3 Textures not updated to current UHD standart."
Sorry to hear some of the footage got corrupted, hopefully that won't happen again for your sake! Regarding the detailed use of the replays, I personally don't really have a problem with them. Most of your content is focused on individual fights and adapting to the quirks of the aircraft you fly, so the added depth is insightful for when we attempt to apply similar logic in our matches. What I will say though is that if you talk more about remedies for the mistakes of your opponents, then all of your videos will in essence include a "Pilot Academy" segment. If that's what you want, I wouldn't mind, but I still have a preference to learn how *you* approach and adapt to situations, if that makes any sense?
My favourite plane, in a video length of 20:33, as Im alt tabbed from one of my favourite games Metro 2033. Thank you for catering specifically to me Defyn
That is the gameplay explanation I am looking for. I’ve played flight sims since 1981. I can fight most any planes, but the Soviet planes give me fits when they do things against physics.
I love this watching you breakdown your gameplay like this. In fact I prefer this with and a mix of gameplay footage too. So insightful being able to see into the mind of the Verstappen of WT :)
I really enjoy your use of the replay system to show both your movements as well as the other player. It's literally twice the amount of information about the engagement as opposed to a typical War Chunder video where creators just do live/playthrough commentary. Nice to see up close and personal how players could have avoided being breakfast. The pace of the video seems way slower than your usual, maybe if you take a few less pauses while explaining the dogfight. Great video though. Thanks for sharing!
It’s such a cool plane, but the stock grind is rough. Edit: The replay clips were really useful, getting the breakdown of the fight like that. I’d definitely appreciate seeing more of that.
I like using f7f's. I recently bought the f7f-3 but the first thing i noticed is that f7f-3 has a longer rudder which makes targeting (zoomed camera) harder.
This is probably my favorite plane in the game. Tigercat eats JU-288s. After those are dead, I like to dive on people a zoom away with this things usually superior speed. It's happened more than once that someone chasing me has torn their wings off trying to keep up. F7F-3 is cracked.
I really like the replays as well, as you go more into details about the fights. One suggestion though, is to use server replays instead of your own. That'd allow using the number 2 camera (player camera) for everyone in the match if in some situation you want to show how someone is unaware of your presence.
