They're mostly just advertising firms trying to collect data. All the other rewards silver, ruby, emerald etc., are mobile game apps that you have to download and play to a certain level to receive the rewards. The thing is, most of them end up requiring hundreds - thousands of hours of gameplay to get meaningful amount of golden eagles. The surveys are definitely the way to go.

After playing the F-86k (italian one) I have to say I am a shit pilot, however, the F-86k made me realize many things I was doing wrong with every plane I flight and that was trying to solve every fight with turns like if it was a zero, now Ik how important energy management is, positioning, and I improved in almost everything I was doing wrong, but that's thanks to you Defyn, after watching the F-86k video and playing it like you played it, made me realize all those mistakes.
The fact that this thing can go 700 in a dive without worrying too much, at this BR, is completely insane. Even at 4.0, the P63 is still busted. It's the only French plane that I actually enjoyed grinding the tree with (well before I bought the yak 3)
The H-75s are pretty good and the M.B.157 is broken at it’s BR. For bombers the M.B.175T is lots of fun and the SB2C-5 can dogfight with enough energy.
Note: GE for WT is a real way to make GE, however it is basically a way to get you to play the mobile AD games. So you play a game, with (probably, never played) more advertisements than Times Square and to make the GE you have to get achievements which are often pretty difficult to reach. For all this effort you get relatively low GE for the amount of time you put in. I suggest that if you want to earn GE, you do it with a real life job.
Finding the right ad helps too. Had one with a bunch of time requirements. I made 1000 leaving my phone to just sit overnight. I think I made like 8k in a couple months which is definitely less effective than real money.
I vividly remember how fun this plane was to use back in 2018/2019 (period when i played this plane the most), i loved this plane so much that i bought the premium paint just for this plane.
On P-39s I usualy run stealth belts for the MGs so I don't get the MG tracers confused with the 37mm tracers. It helps alot with aiming the 37 and it is absolutely worth it because once you learn to aim it, the 37 will become your primary kill getter in the cobras.
just split the guns from the cannon onto 2 different buttons using them at the same time is a waste of ammo cause the velocity is so far apart between the two and because the cannon is so inaccurate its better to only use it against smaller targets when they give you a full on profile shot
@@paktahnI did that for a while and it sucks. Even with good aim you won't always hit with the 37mm but you will still hit with MGs so I find it is better to use both at once so that even if you miss with the 37 you still hit with .50 cals. The MG 151 20mm also has over 200m/s less velocity then the 7.92mm MGs but nobody uses them seperately too.
@@jakobc.2558 yeah i said the 37 had poor accuracy that is why i dont like using it even with good aim you need to fire a few rounds every time to hit i was just saying what works and you are wrong about nobody spliting the guns from cannons on the german aircraft lots of people do i am one of them yeah you can hit with both if you are close but if you are taking deflection shots at around 1km you are not going to even come close to hitting with both so like i said complete waste of ammo if you dont split them and if you want to shoot them both up close just press both buttons
@@paktahn I also realy dislike splitting the buttons because using anything other then left mouse button to fire guns is very uncomfortable so I instead assigned the "select primary weapons" button. It works much better for me.
I love the D-30's peformance but it's a pain to play it because out of every 10 matches in that thing 11 have you getting fully uptiered into 6.0 with Ju-288s and Ta-152Hs that absolutely shit on you every single time if you don't coordinate perfectly with your team. If it was 4.7 tho it would be godlike. The best mustangs for their BR imo are the P-51D-10 which is a straight upgrade of the P-51D-5 and D-20 in the exact same br, and the P-51C-10.

Pokry's version in the USSR tree is even better, it loses the 4 wing guns so it's lighter and faster while still keeping the 37mm for easy shots and the .50s for harder ones. One of my favorites in Sim

P-39s are underrated both in game and in real life. The P-39N-0 is the most OP for sure. I’d recommend watching Greg’s Airplanes video on the P-39 in Soviet service, by his calculations a P-39 can match or outperform a Bf 109 G at the altitude most engagements took place at on the eastern front, which must’ve been terrifying for German aviators.

The FW-190 A1 is the only plane I can think of offhand that can keep up at that BR. It's heavier by around 400 kg but also has around 200 more HP and will hold that HP at higher alt. Plus it's actually a little bit faster, not by much but it's there.
@@r.u.s.e3586 okey this actualy took me a while to figure out, but nope, the FW 190A-1 is still slower at low altitute. According to war thunder stat cards the A-1 can reach 652km/h at 5500m. The P-39N can reach 641km/h at 3000m. The speeds on the stat card are true air speed. Because planes go faster at higher altitute, compairing TAS at 3000m and 5500m is missleading. So with a online calculator I calculated their indicated air speeds at their respective peak performance altitute (which is the altitute that is listed as "at _height_ m" on the stat card). The result: At 5500m the FW 190 A-1 will go 501km/h IAS. At 3048m the P-39N will go 556km/h IAS. I wish there was more data on the stat card, I did this research because I wanted to know for myself. Anyway, the P-39N is faster then the FW 190A-1 at 3000m, and by alot too.
Just for the record the 190A-1 will do around 600kmh at 3km. The P-39N does around 640kmh. At about 10m off of the deck the P-39N tops out around 570kmh whereas the 190A-1 does about 550kmh. The reason for the drop off for the 190 at 3km is because the supercharger of the 190 changes settings at around 3km thereby the engine loses some power at that alt. This is reflected in the drop in top speed compared to what it was on the deck. This can be exploited in combat via spiral climbs against a 190 if you are within about 500m of the 3km altitude range as it will stall in a spiral faster in this alt range than any other below 5km. The 190 is not faster than a P-39N 4km and below. The closest to the P-39N that isn't American is the La-5FN, or the He-100D should you see it.
@@rainsilent @jakobc.2558 So I spent some time testing this to confirm what I said before, because I was using datamined stats as my basis, not the statcard speeds, which I do not trust. I used the WTRTI mod to monitor exact aircraft performance during the tests. I was also using MEC as needed (mostly due to P-39 engine issues) First test I did was at 200 meters. The FW-190 A1 was actually about 10 MPH slower here which I did not expect, however there is a small caveat. In order to reach that speed (352) without resorting to a dive the P-39 has to redline it's engine, and shortly started burning out the engine a minute or so later. Meanwhile the 190 could maintain 342 practically forever without coming close to overheating. The second test I did was at 3000 meters. After nursing the engine a while I was able to max out the P-39N at 330 MPH. For the 190 I was able to get it up to 335 MPH thanks to the horsepower boost starting from around 2800 meters. I didn't bother testing top speed after this, though out of curiosity I did test energy retention in the vertical and horizontal and it came out pretty similar. At sea level the P-39 has slightly better overall retention, but at 3000 meters the 190 is the winner. Once again the numbers are very similar, always within 5 to 10 MPH. Also I completely forgot about the He 100, I will test that as well. EDIT: The He-100 hits 343 MPH at sea level and 340 at 3000 meters, but runs into similar redlining issues as the P-39
@@r.u.s.e3586 interesting. Yeah maybe I shouldn't trust the stat cards that much. Have you tried using manual engine controll on the P-39 to negate the overheating? For settings I usualy run 84% prop pitch and 74% mixture and then I simply fully open the radiators. With these settings the P-39 can WEP continuosly without overheating. Also be aware that the engine takes damage when the temperature goes orange. You can't see it in the moddel but your horsepower actualy decreases along with ofcourse lowering the temperature at which the engine is overheated.
a thing about the free GE thing. it does work, but its basically like slamming your balls in a hydraulic press for drop of alcohol, if you are addicted it sounds like a great deal. Also using the code doesn't TAKE away 20% of what you make, but rather it just gives him a 20% kickback. If you make 100 GE, DEFYN gets 20 for free.

I set the 50 cals to universal, the 7.7mm to stealth so I don’t even worry about the extra trails they make and the 37mm on air targets. As long as the 50 cals hit everything else should
GE for WT is a mixed bag when it comes to legitmacy, some of their deals, especially the ones concerning surveys, often lead to notorious phishing sites. While I personally dont have a problem with your partnership with them, I'd encourage you to look much more into it and use your own discretion.
P-39s are one of the first planes I kill and if I see one in a match I go for it 1st they are enemy #1 especially when I see players that have this plane as their number 1 plane that they play the most. With like 1K or 2K games in the thing heck I have even seen a person with over 4K games in the Russian premium one.

I aim around 1-2mm lower when I'm using the 37mm on this plane. It's got a weird ballistic trajectory, the round seems to go in a nearly straight line out to 600m and then drops off very suddenly as opposed to a normal parabola.
Been playing this for a few days. The 37mm is horrible to aim but its much better than you make it sound like. It has an air target belt with pure HE that decimates anything it touches, especially bombers. Paired with the excellent climb rate it means you can sneak up on them fast and get 3 kills right at the start

Buying the Pokryshkin's version when it was in sale was one of the best purchases I've ever made, even though I already had the Sputnikfire (I still get good results in it the later, but I rather not fly in the 6.0 Hell Scape.
I used this thing to grind tier 2 and 3, with aces and the occasional double ace. I've moved to tier 4, so now it doesn't really work for grinding, but it's still the only plane I play for FUN. Fun, in warthunder? It's been too long...
If you want another fun low tier plane to fly that isn't quite as broken the Finnish Buffalo is an extremely solid plane at 2.3 The Pyorremyrsky is also an extremely fun option at 4.3 because IT CAN BEAT XP-50's AT THEIR OWN GAME!
I used the App and have received the GE ever single time and never had a problem. Just watch some videos or download a game or answer some questions they have a bunch of things to choose from to get GE.
@@r.u.s.e3586 He is wrong. It isn't a 5.3 plane. It is a 3.7 plane. At low alt the P-39N is comparable to the P-63A10 and C. The P-63s are faster while the P-39N is more maneuverable. Above 4km the P-39N is lackluster against nearly everything 3.7+.
May I ask why not using air target belt for 37mm cannons? Is it also nerfed, too? I have not played props for quite a while, but a bit tired of grinding jets now. Also asking which props are enjoyable right now for the US. (I have all props spaded and most premiums except XP-38G/Premium P-51s and event vehicles.)
In the olden days, I spent my days getting good at sniping with the P 39, P 63, and the Yak 9T And I got really good... Until life got in the way and I stopped playing
Drag and weight. The Q is heavier. In every performance metric it is worse than the N. The climb and turn penalties aren't as large as the speed penalty but they all exist and are noticeable in a 1v1 between the two aircraft.
Yes, russian one is better for sl generation, but: 1) it has less guns. No 7.7s in the wings with negligible gain in roll rate and mass reduction. It is not that substantial. 2) it has only 1/2 of useful ammunition. No choice for air targets, only 1/2 he/ap. 3) it is at 3.0, which is 0.3 BR higher for some reason. Doesn't matter that much, but what the hell?
@r.u.s.e3586 Nope, it's all the same. When they reworked the flight models of all p-39s/p-63s (about 1-2 months before the BR changes), they evened out everything. Before the hangar x-ray was introduced, there could be any speculation. However, after the x-ray, all numbers were the same. There could be some hidden values, like drag coefficient, but as for now, they are all pretty much the same. (Yes, I played over 800 games in that thing and compared it a lot to competitors. That included raw data from CDK, forum posts and x-ray numbers. Don't trust stat card. Ever.)
I prefer to just one tap the high deflection shots, and wait longer than you feel comfortable with before clicking him. The 37's fire rate is too slow too hold down the trigger but it took me many many games to learn this gun and I still sometimes shoot too early.

The P-39 can go way past 800 without major issues. Some slight elevator stiffening, but nothing major enough to prevent you from pulling out.
The P63 and the Vautour (late) with AA20 Nords are my favorite French planes so far.

The D.520 is also very well rounded and when flown in pairs or more in a squad is lethal

I wish there was more data on the stat card, I did this research because I wanted to know for myself. Anyway, the P-39N is faster then the FW 190A-1 at 3000m, and by alot too.
Just for the record the 190A-1 will do around 600kmh at 3km. The P-39N does around 640kmh. At about 10m off of the deck the P-39N tops out around 570kmh whereas the 190A-1 does about 550kmh. The reason for the drop off for the 190 at 3km is because the supercharger of the 190 changes settings at around 3km thereby the engine loses some power at that alt. This is reflected in the drop in top speed compared to what it was on the deck. This can be exploited in combat via spiral climbs against a 190 if you are within about 500m of the 3km altitude range as it will stall in a spiral faster in this alt range than any other below 5km.
The 190 is not faster than a P-39N 4km and below. The closest to the P-39N that isn't American is the La-5FN, or the He-100D should you see it.
@@rainsilent @jakobc.2558 So I spent some time testing this to confirm what I said before, because I was using datamined stats as my basis, not the statcard speeds, which I do not trust. I used the WTRTI mod to monitor exact aircraft performance during the tests. I was also using MEC as needed (mostly due to P-39 engine issues)
First test I did was at 200 meters.
The FW-190 A1 was actually about 10 MPH slower here which I did not expect, however there is a small caveat. In order to reach that speed (352) without resorting to a dive the P-39 has to redline it's engine, and shortly started burning out the engine a minute or so later. Meanwhile the 190 could maintain 342 practically forever without coming close to overheating.
The second test I did was at 3000 meters.
After nursing the engine a while I was able to max out the P-39N at 330 MPH. For the 190 I was able to get it up to 335 MPH thanks to the horsepower boost starting from around 2800 meters. I didn't bother testing top speed after this, though out of curiosity I did test energy retention in the vertical and horizontal and it came out pretty similar. At sea level the P-39 has slightly better overall retention, but at 3000 meters the 190 is the winner. Once again the numbers are very similar, always within 5 to 10 MPH.
Also I completely forgot about the He 100, I will test that as well.
EDIT: The He-100 hits 343 MPH at sea level and 340 at 3000 meters, but runs into similar redlining issues as the P-39

Have you tried using manual engine controll on the P-39 to negate the overheating? For settings I usualy run 84% prop pitch and 74% mixture and then I simply fully open the radiators. With these settings the P-39 can WEP continuosly without overheating.
Also be aware that the engine takes damage when the temperature goes orange. You can't see it in the moddel but your horsepower actualy decreases along with ofcourse lowering the temperature at which the engine is overheated.

a thing about the free GE thing. it does work, but its basically like slamming your balls in a hydraulic press for drop of alcohol, if you are addicted it sounds like a great deal. Also using the code doesn't TAKE away 20% of what you make, but rather it just gives him a 20% kickback. If you make 100 GE, DEFYN gets 20 for free.

I have a spot in my heart for the P-39
P-39s are one of the first planes I kill and if I see one in a match I go for it 1st they are enemy #1 especially when I see players that have this plane as their number 1 plane that they play the most. With like 1K or 2K games in the thing heck I have even seen a person with over 4K games in the Russian premium one.

I recommend giving the P-400 a spin if you don't enjoy the 37mm. Only 60 rounds sadly but for some god forsaken reason it's clubbing at 2.0.
I aim around 1-2mm lower when I'm using the 37mm on this plane. It's got a weird ballistic trajectory, the round seems to go in a nearly straight line out to 600m and then drops off very suddenly as opposed to a normal parabola.
I always focus these things out if I can when I am seal clubbing in the B7A2 terrifying plane to face if flown with a little bit of competence

the p63c-5 is even more op, i kill early jets with it, and some specs of it are better than 5.7 or 6.0 planes. And its at 4.0.

The 37mm is horrible to aim but its much better than you make it sound like. It has an air target belt with pure HE that decimates anything it touches, especially bombers. Paired with the excellent climb rate it means you can sneak up on them fast and get 3 kills right at the start

The Q-5 has the gunpods below the wings, adding to drag, weight, and wing load.
Default belt for the 37 has all HEFI-T and is probably still the right belt to run even with realshatter.

I used this thing to grind tier 2 and 3, with aces and the occasional double ace. I've moved to tier 4, so now it doesn't really work for grinding, but it's still the only plane I play for FUN. Fun, in warthunder? It's been too long...
If you want another fun low tier plane to fly that isn't quite as broken the Finnish Buffalo is an extremely solid plane at 2.3
The Pyorremyrsky is also an extremely fun option at 4.3 because IT CAN BEAT XP-50's AT THEIR OWN GAME!
@@r.u.s.e3586 Yeah, I've come across the buffalo in my Fw 190 A1, and they're a PAIN. And, the pyörremyrsky has an INSANE climb rate.
I used the App and have received the GE ever single time and never had a problem. Just watch some videos or download a game or answer some questions they have a bunch of things to choose from to get GE.

@@r.u.s.e3586 He is wrong. It isn't a 5.3 plane. It is a 3.7 plane. At low alt the P-39N is comparable to the P-63A10 and C. The P-63s are faster while the P-39N is more maneuverable. Above 4km the P-39N is lackluster against nearly everything 3.7+.

May I ask why not using air target belt for 37mm cannons? Is it also nerfed, too? I have not played props for quite a while, but a bit tired of grinding jets now. Also asking which props are enjoyable right now for the US. (I have all props spaded and most premiums except XP-38G/Premium P-51s and event vehicles.)
As he said, the mechanic for HE is a bit (pun intended) buggy, so take AP or mixed of both. From many, German ones (at least 20) are not affected

Drag. So it should be a little bit slower, but that's about it.
Drag and weight. The Q is heavier. In every performance metric it is worse than the N. The climb and turn penalties aren't as large as the speed penalty but they all exist and are noticeable in a 1v1 between the two aircraft.

Yes, russian one is better for sl generation, but:
1) it has less guns. No 7.7s in the wings with negligible gain in roll rate and mass reduction. It is not that substantial.
2) it has only 1/2 of useful ammunition. No choice for air targets, only 1/2 he/ap.
3) it is at 3.0, which is 0.3 BR higher for some reason. Doesn't matter that much, but what the hell?
I don't have the plane myself but I'm told it has slightly more HP and engine cooling performance as well.
@r.u.s.e3586 Nope, it's all the same. When they reworked the flight models of all p-39s/p-63s (about 1-2 months before the BR changes), they evened out everything. Before the hangar x-ray was introduced, there could be any speculation. However, after the x-ray, all numbers were the same. There could be some hidden values, like drag coefficient, but as for now, they are all pretty much the same. (Yes, I played over 800 games in that thing and compared it a lot to competitors. That included raw data from CDK, forum posts and x-ray numbers. Don't trust stat card. Ever.)
I prefer to just one tap the high deflection shots, and wait longer than you feel comfortable with before clicking him. The 37's fire rate is too slow too hold down the trigger but it took me many many games to learn this gun and I still sometimes shoot too early.
